Part Number:LMX2571EVM

One of my customers is having an issue where it won't accept the default registers or the ones in Figure 3 of the user guide. It seems to be outputting a random frequency and the phase lock LED is not on. Is there any additional information you need to help fix this issue?

Thanks

CC8530: Custom Configuration for Purepath IC

Part Number:CC8530

Hello,

I am developing a family of products that utilize the CC8530 ICs for wireless audio transmission.  Currently 16 bit stereo 44.1KHz.  The working prototypes are performing admirably and I am impressed by the range.

Is there a way to have access to a deeper custom firmware compared to what the PP wireless configurator provides? I currently have to use 2 ICs per PCB so that each device and be the "master" or slave dynamically.  This solution isn't robust for obvious reason though I do have a working prototype and interested investors. I have the engineering resources to develop the custom firmware independently from TI (with the right documentation and information) if they aren't able to assist.  I don't really want to into more detail than this on a public forum as I still have provisional patents in the works.

Thank you,

Zack

XTR111: Maximum Current Boost

Part Number:XTR111

Hi,

i would like to know what's the maximum current boost using the schematic in the XTR111 datasheet.

At first i thought that it was limited just by the transistor gain and 5mA base, but i tested a 50mA power consuption with a MMBT3904 and the XTR111 burnt.

Now i'd like the confirmation that if it's ok to work with this current (the goal is 200mA), to make more tests.

Thanks

CCS/MSP430FR6989: Pin Location

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

SO this is a two part question:

Firstly, on the MSP430FR6989 board, where are the P3.4 and P3.5 located? I have looked over the board and could not see the markings anywhere.

Secondly, is there a good example somewhere on how to set up UART communication in assembler (CCS) between two MSP430s (or one master MSP430 with two slave MSP430s). The example(s) I found in TI Resource Explorer is/are apparently transmitting data to itself and most of the examples online are from MCU to PC.

Thanks in advance.

BQ2973: BQ2973 Kill Switch

Part Number:BQ2973

Hello,

I am wondering what is the best method of implementing a physical kill switch (SPST)? My application requires some sort of battery disconnect when a physical switch is actuated by a user. Switch must be placed on the low side of the battery. I would like to avoid placing it directly on the power rails as the switch has a low current rating (< 2 A, battery capable of 10 A). My idea was to use a switch between BAT and battery cathode; When the kill switch is pressed, the contact is opens and the BQ2973 power down. What I want to know is when the BQ2973 powers down, is it safe to consider the battery isolated due to the CHG/DSG MOSFETs being open?

TPA2028D1YZFEVM: Audio I2C Driver not loading in Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 Test Mode

Part Number:TPA2028D1YZFEVM

I have been trying whole day to get the TI Audio I2C USB driver to load so that I can use this EVM.

I understand that I need to turn off Windows' driver signature checking function in order for this TI USB driver to load.

I followed the method of entering Windows "Test Mode" using the following command issued from the Windows Powershell Admin mode: "bcdedit /set testsigning on".

This seems to be successful since I can see the "Test Mode" watermark on my Windows desktop, after rebooting Windows.

But when I try to load the TI USB driver (manually), there is no change; it still complains that the driver is unsigned and I need to contact the device manufacturers' support website for a driver update.

Kindly support me on this asap.

Hi

we are running on processor sdk 03.02.00.05

right now i have a gpio that's used as an interruption source.

in the linux driver i've requested the interrution with the API:

request_threaded_irq()

   Once the interrupt is fired.

I wanted to disable this interruption of this specific GPIO (only from this gpio) for a certain period of time . (like 100ms)

How can i do that ?

thank you people

TLK10002: Questions for TLK10002 Registers Configuration

$

Part Number:TLK10002

Hi Experts,

Our customer is evaluating TLK10002 now and following the datasheet page 66 register configuration. They used one BER Analyzer to send the PRBS31/PRBS7 signals with data rate 4.9152Gbps to INA and HSRXA, then test the signals on OUTA and HSTXA, but no any eye diagram observed.

Customer's setup is as below:

1. Pin Refclk_sel=1, select Refclk 122.88MHz as the reference clock, pin Refclk0 connected to ground through 100ohm resistor.

2. Registers can be written and read correctly. Registers 0x01=0x3302, 0x03=0xA545, 0x06=0x1119, others are the default value.

Questions:

Is there any issues for the register settings? Is there any other design considerations for this part to work correctly? Is it the correct method to test this device by using the BER analyzer to test the eye diagram on pin OUTA and HSTXA?

Thanks.

DRV8711: Predriver Fault(XPDF) detection

$

Part Number:DRV8711

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask DRV8711?

And thank you for your cooperation about DRV8711's support always.

We recognize the condtion which Predriver Fault(XPDF) occurs.
-The predriver fault (xPDF) indicates a failure on the gate of the FET.
-The predriver fault monitors proper operation of the x1LS/x2LS/x1HS/x2HS outputs of the DRV8711.
-If incorrect operation is detected the PDF fault is activated.
-Examples of detectable predriver faults are gate to source short, gate to drain short, pin short to adjacent pin.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers/f/38/t/655432

In addition to it, we would like to know how DRV8711 detects Predriver Fault condtion.
-Do Gate drive & OCP detect Predriver Fault condtion using flowing current?
-Or, does Isense block detect Predriver Fault condtion using flowing current?

As the background of this question, our customer's board occurs  Predriver Fault condtion in case of startup sometimes.
So, they would like to judge whether it depends on the noise of Isense block or not.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

ADS1220: Adding adc to BQ25703AEVM reference design

Part Number:ADS1220

Hello, hope you are doing well,

I am designing a custom PCB based on the BQ25703AEVM, and I would like to add an ADS1220 ADC to the same board. My question is about how to power and ground this device with signals present in the BQ25703EVM.

I have a 3.3v buck on an external board, and I am planning on using this supply and PGND for DVDD and DGND. I believe I should use the analog ground (GND in the BQ25703AEVM schematic) and the 3.3v LM3480 LDO for AVSS and AVDD. I was concerned about pulling too much current from the LM3480, but I checked the datasheet and couldn't find any reference to a maximum rated current, only a minimum load current of 100mA. As far as I can tell the LM3480 is supplying much less than 100mA in the BQ25703AEVM design, and adding the small supply current of the ADS1220 would actually bring the LM3480 closer to nominal operation.

Part Number:TPS2493

Hi,

Could you telle me about TPS2493 gate off function?
Does TPS2493 have a protection function to turn off the gate without charging the CT pin?
Problem has occurred to gate off without charge the CT pin in customer's board.

Customer set to cancel OV and UVEN protection.
However,CT was not charged and gate OFF.

Hi All

I have been searching with no success for some documentation on CS_CTL1_SELA_2.

More generally I am looking for documentation on this line from a sample program I am trying to work thru.

I must say I was disappointed that TIREX found nothing on this!

Hi,

We see DRV10983 can support motor operation +6.2 V to 28 V, but we use  +24V BLDC auto system. The bus power output system is fluctuate.

Whether DRV10983 can support +35V?or we can support motor  instant voltage +45V?

  Thanks!
