MSP430F149: MSP low-power microcontroller forum

Part Number:MSP430F149

Hello,

I am trying to run a debugger in IAR for my code and the disassembler keeps getting suck in the an infinite loop from 7968-796E before it every makes it to the beginning of the main (a snip of the disassembly window is at the bottom of this message). Oddly enough, it worked for a while, then this problem occurred without changing code. I have tried holding the watchdog timer if there was a time out issue, turning off and on as well as clearing the chip to hopefully clear any pending interrupts and have now been looking at any defined address in memory linker file, but have had no luck seeing something that made sense. Would anybody have an idea how to go about correcting this issue?

Thanks,

Beau

MSP-EXP430F5529LP: Reading multiple antennas with RFID

Part Number:MSP-EXP430F5529LP

hi,

I recently bought MSP-EXP430 and DLP-7970ABP booster boards and am now trying to switch between multiple antennas with Infineon BGS18GA14E6327XTSA1 RF switches. I would like the code to automatically switch between the antennas as fast as possible and do this indefinitely.

As I am struggling with modifying TIs NFC code to switch between antennas automatically, I hope you could help me a bit.  How should I modify the code so every time it switches the antenna, makes one read and then proceeds to the next one.

Thank you

CC1110-CC1111: Interfacing with Temperature and Humidity sensor HDC2010

Part Number:CC1110-CC1111

Hello,

I want to use TI's HDC2010 Temperature and Humidity Sensors for my application. I am already using CC1110.

HDC2010 has I2C interface while CC1110 doesn't have an I2C interface.

How can I interface CC1110 with HDC2010?

As there are size restrictions, using a protocol converter chip/module is not an option for me.

Is there any software solution available?

Thanks

Venu

Linux/AM3352: Drive gpio high at boot-up

Part Number:AM3352

Tool/software: Linux

Hello,

We use AM3352 for a custom board and use WL1875 for wifi/bt chip. I am working on the bring up process for the board and we have a HW configuration where we're controlling the 3.3V to wifi chip through TPS22965DSG which is further controlled by SoC on GPIO2_12.

Now, I want to make sure I drive the GPIO to HIGH during boot-up so that WLAN_EN can perform a reset to the chip and wifi comes up. Our main intention of having this gpio is to turn the wifi module completely off when we're in low power mode.

I have tried searching on google and used some previous DTs to find out a way to set a GPIO high in device tree, but could not find a proper answer.

I know I can do that using gpio-leds in device tree but i was curious if we have any specific to use in DTs. I also followed:  but it doesn't help.

Can you please suggest me how can I drive a gpio High in device tree?

Thanks,

Divyeshkumar

CC2564: Audio Pops over I2S when CC2564 is master

Part Number:CC2564

I am hearing intermittent pops when data coming into the CC2564 over I2S is decoded on the far end. I’ve attached my configuration of the chip, and several waveforms that I captured using a scope with an I2S decoding module.  In the scope, the  yellow line is the BCLK, the blue line is the FSYNC, and the purple is the data. According to the scope captures, I am not seeing any discontinuities that would cause pops. It appears at times the data fluctuates between values of 0 and -1, but its not enough of a discontinuity to explain the pops. I’ve connected the CC2564 to a WL1833 and recorded the output from the WL1833. The attached wav file shows that in fact, we are getting some garbage data on the receiving side. Is there anything wrong with my configuration? And if not, how can I verify that the CC2564 is properly decoding the I2S data its getting so we can do a comparison between what we’re seeing on the scope? Roughly, the set up is as follows:

                   Scope                                                      Pops heard here
                      |                                                                    |
Host CPU -----> CC2564 ----> WL1833---> ALSA

I should note that audio for the most part sounds fine. If I play any voice or music over the I2S line, the audio sounds fine on the receiving end, there are just pops occasionally over it.

Part Number:INA220

Would you expect any issues if  I would swap like in a low side sense application the Vin+ anf Vin- ?

Background is that my layout would become more easy.  In order to get the correct information I would just invert the sign-bit.

Is this OK?

Ana other thought directions are welcome

LM2642: 12V 33A backup output power supply for PC mother board

Part Number:LM2642

Hi there,

I want to add a 12V backup power supply for my PC mother board. My target output power is 12V 33A, input from a suitable battery from 10-14.4V.

Because there's no multi-phase buck-boost controller I think, so my proposal is to use cascaded boost and buck controller to derive a 12V output from 10-14.4V input. Do you have better recommendations?

Right now, I am considering LM2642 for the multi-phase buck controller (boost controller is not selected yet), however, space(inductor size and input capacitor size) is not too critical in my application. Do you really recommend multi-phase converter? Or just single phase is OK? My output current is "only" 33A, not crazy values like 56A or so...

Thank you.

IWR1443BOOST: How to programm QSPI flash for mmWave Studio

$

Part Number:IWR1443BOOST

Hello,

I am using IWR1443BOOST together with DCA1000EVM and mmWave Studio. The example script DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua loads the firmware each time the script is executed.

I would like to put the firmware for mmWave Studio in the QSPI flash in the same way as the firmware that comes with the IWR1443BOOST board for the mmWave Demo Visualizer software.

I know the Uniflash tool and the changes for the SOP jumpers. The flash process itself runs without warnings or errors. However the board does not boot from the QSPI flash and shows a red error LED.

Is it possible to put the firmware that is delivered together with mmWave Studio to the flash memory?

Can anybody point we to documentation that I might not have seen (file conversion utility, flash instructions, ...)?

Best regards,

Matthias

Dear Sirs,

I'm designing a board that uses two ADC12DL3200 connected at one FPGA Xilinx.

The FPGA downloads the data and drives the ADC12DL3200 control signals.

For example the SYSREF signal is driven by a LVDS FPAG Output.

Is it correct?

Is it possible to drive the SYSREF input signal with a LVDS driver (FPGA output)?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Daniele Sassaroli

DP83867E: Strapping Pins set for SGMII

Part Number:DP83867E

Hello, I am using the DP83867E Transceiver with an SGMII input. I need some help setting up the Strapping Pins. Here is what I have so far:

RX_DO Mode 4

RX_D2 Mode 4

RX_CTRL Mode 4

GPIO_0 Mode 4

GPIO_1 Mode 4

Led_2 Mode 4

Led_1 Mode 4

Led_0 Mode 4

RX_D1 and RX_D3 have same strapping pin resistors as RX_D0 and RX_D2 respectively.

Mode          IDEAL Rhi      IDEAL Rlo

1                 open              open

2                 10K                2.49K

3                5.76K             2.49K

4               2.49K             OPEN   ( page 36 says for RX_D0, RX_D1, RX_D2, RX_D3 use Rhi 4K and Rlo 10K for SGMII)

So, I should have the following

Rhi for RX_D0,RX_D1,RX_D2,RX_D3 use a 4Kohm

Rlo for RX_D0,RX_D1,RX_D2,RX_D3 use a 10Kohm

Rhi for RX_CTRL, GPIO_0, GPIO_1, LED_2, LED_1, LED_0 use a 2.49Kohm

Rlo for RX_CTRL, GPIO_0, GPIO_1, LED_2, LED_1, LED_0 use OPEN

Please me know if I have the right resistor values.

Thanks,

Joe

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello team,

my customer started using TINA for the first time in order to simulate the LMG3410 and he downloaded the spice model from the website (snom608a). After the simulation of the transient the pogram gives him an error of which you can see the screenshot.

Is there anything we can suggest to make the error disappear?

Thank you and best regards,

Adrian

BQ27441-G1: BQ27441 --- I2C command waiting time

Part Number:BQ27441-G1

"For read-write standard command, a minimum of 2 seconds is required to get the result updated. For read-only standard commands, there is no waiting time required, but the host must not issue any standard command more than two times per second. Otherwise, the gauge could result in a reset issue due to the expiration of the watchdog timer. "

1. Looks Vague  -- Should These Statements be  Taken  "Seriously"? 2 Seconds Sounds Big Value @ f=100KHz

LM5069: Tolerance of Current Limit

$

Part Number:LM5069

The current limit for the LM5069 seems to be wide once set based on a maximum load. It appears that I have no tight control of that based on the internal Vcl threshold votlage range of 48.5mV to 61.5mV.

I set my maximum load to 20A but the current limit maximum can be 30.8A. Is there a way to tighten this limit closer to the max load? I did use the design calculator spreadsheet and then used my own calculations to modifiy the tolerances of the current sense resistor as well as the optional resistor divider.

That did not seem to help. I want to confirm that the limiting factor is the Vcl threshold voltage range.

Thank you
