WEBENCH® Tools/LM3478: LM3478 and the CSD16321Q5

Part Number:LM3478

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

I used the Workbench designer to come up with a 3.7-4.2V to a 12V voltage converter.  The design uses the LM3478 voltage regulator along with the CSD16321Q5 Mosfet.

I made a circuit board following the schematic.  With the Mosfet in the circuit the input voltage is getting pulled down to 0.28 volts.

I'm not sure how to attach the schematic.

AFE requirement

We want to develop off-road motor's battery BMS.
The average current is 30A, but the peak current is 200A(last 3~5 sec).
That is, need to ensure D_FET is on when the discharge current is 200A(last 3~5 sec).
Also, the required cell number is 13S.
Which AFE satisfy such requirement?

Thanks

CC3220MOD: CC3220MOD and AT Command Demo

Part Number:CC3220MOD

Hi

Still having some issues with the file system commands via AT Command Demo.

I'm trying to transfer a root certificate file pem format, to  /sys/cert/ca.der

I first use the file open, and it returns the fileID and a token.   (for some reason last week , it did not return a token, but now it does)?

Then I do a file write, using the fileID.

When I close the file, I get error 10370 (SL_ERROR_FS_FILE_IS_OPEN_FOR_WRITE)

Does this mean I need to do a  "at+filectl=COMMIT,-142064371,/sys/cert/ca.der," before closing the file?  Also, if I do what is the returned new secure token used for?

Another question. The AT Command Demo has a receive buffer limited 1024 bytes, but all my certificates are around 1.6k. Extending the AT buffer to 2048 bytes, would this have any negative know on effect else where in the project.

Below are the actual strings I'm sending and receiving.

at+test

OK

at+filedel=/sys/cert/ca.der,

OK

at+fileopen=/sys/cert/ca.der,CREATE,57

+fileopen:382982955,-142064371

at+filewrite=382982955,0,0,57,-----BEGIN CERTIF  (Data truncated)

+filewrite:57

LM25085: lm25085 regulation

Part Number:LM25085

Hello,

I have a problem about output voltage regulation with the COT LM25085. It's about line regulation. When I exceed 14 V on Vin, my voltage ouput regulation (8V2) is bad for the same load. See different pictures attached. The problem is probably due to parasitic inductances but i'm not sure. I decided to add a resistor of 10 ohm in series with the pin which control the gate of the LM28085 and PFET gate. Now it works, I can exceed 16V. So it seems that the commutation was to fast and i think that there were spikes to high on my FB ripple (exceeding 1V575 as it is mentionned into the datasheet), in that case the LM25085 stop to regulate until the FB ripple go down to 1V25 something like this... My interpretation may be wrong, please tell me if iit's wrong.

I don't want to let my 10 Ohm resistors in series with the PFET gate. My layout doesn't allow me to do this. So i m asking if i can take a diode which would be slower ? Do you think it could help me ?

For information, the ripple injection configuration that i m using is the one with the RC integrator and the bypass capacitor.

Here are ripple @ different VIN :

15V

13V

14V

Thank you very much,

Have a nice day ! :)

TPS659037: TPS6590379ZWSR difference between dowloaded symbol ans schematics

Part Number:TPS659037

Hi,

I have downloaded the TPS659037 symbol from TIs homepage and comparing it with the ARM MPU AM572X Industrial EVM I have found tthe following differences:

K4 marked as NC in the downloaded symbol is used as LDO5_OUT in the EVB

K5 marked as NC in the downloaded symbol is used as LDO8_OUT in the EVB

L4 marked as NC in the downloaded symbol is used as LDO6_OUT  in the EVB

Are those pins NCV or used in TPS6590379ZWSR?

The USB Gadget Driver is not working on my TMDSICE3359. I created the SD Card with the default Linux-RT image and then tried different kernel configurations suggested on this thread without any success.

Please find attached the output during boot up.

It fails because ifconfig does not find any usb0 device. But why?

g_multi driver fails as well during boot up:

[ 52.231359] udc-core: couldn't find an available UDC - added [g_multi] to list of pending drivers

As I said, I tried different kernel configurations and changed the device tree info of USB0 from disabled to okay, but none of this changes helped.

Thanks.

CC2530: Enquiry about "Power and Signal Isolator" for CC debugger

Part Number:CC2530

To whom it may concern,

I use CC2530 as a End device to build some sort of LED driver. The end device is 220Vac input and there exists voltage converter to convert to 5V and then to 3.3V for CC2530.(NOTE: No isolation circuit between 220Vac and the 3.3V circuit!!). When I connect CC debugger to debug my firmware. I discovered that the CC debugger is easily damage. So, I planned to add isolator device between the debugger and the CC2530 targetboard.   Is there any TI existing isolator products which is suitable for TI CCdebugger?

Actually, I search from TI website, I found ISOW78xx  digital isolators which is IC only!!  In my side , my firmware development schedule is quick tight and I perfer to "just buy and connect" the isolator in to my cc debugger and target board.

Thank you very much

TLV320ai3104 datasheet issues

We are writing an embedded driver for the TLV320ai3104 chip, and we found out more issues in the datasheet. For example, in the register 0x56(LEFT_LOP/M Output Level Control Register):
1. D0, in the datasheet is readable but we succeed to set it, and we had a different behavior;
2. D1, reads
0: All programmed gains to LEFT_LOP/M have been applied.
1: Not all programmed gains to LEFT_LOP/M have been applied yet.
but it should read:
0: Not all programmed gains to LEFT_LOP/M have been applied yet.
1: All programmed gains to LEFT_LOP/M have been applied.
Could you please give us an updated datasheet for this chip?
We are using one datasheet with the revision: SLAS510F – FEBRUARY 2007 – REVISED DECEMBER 2016 and the chip is TLV320ai3104.

Thank you.

Hi Team,

May i know if the bode plot data for TPS61252 is available? The end customer has  question regarding stability and phase margin.  Can you share the characterization data on this?

And also can you also comment the impact of the additional filter network as shown below to the phase margin and gain?

Part Number:CC1310

Hi!

Using the TI 15.5 Co-Processor firmware, how big is the buffer for indirect transmissions (packets to sleepy nodes)? In other words, how many packets can be queued for indirect transmission, waiting for a sleepy node to poll?

Much thanks,

Eugene

RTOS/TMDSLCDK6748: simple example for audio stero loop

$

Part Number:TMDSLCDK6748

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi guys,

I bought a TMDSLCDK6748, because I need MIMO signal processing.

Befor I had the TMS320C6713 DSK.

This board was very simple with a lot of simple examples like those from the book "Digital Signal Processing and Applications with the TMS320c6713 and TMS320C6416 DSK",

e.g. the loop program using polling:

//loop_poll.c    loop program using polling

#include "DSK6713_AIC23.h"             //codec support
Uint32 fs=DSK6713_AIC23_FREQ_8KHZ;     //set sampling rate
#define DSK6713_AIC23_INPUT_MIC 0x0015
#define DSK6713_AIC23_INPUT_LINE 0x0011
Uint16 inputsource=DSK6713_AIC23_INPUT_MIC; // select input

void main()
{
  short sample_data;
  comm_poll();                         //init DSK, codec, McBSP
  while(1)                             //infinite loop
  {
    sample_data = input_left_sample(); //input sample
    output_left_sample(sample_data);   //output sample
  }
}

Is there such a simple example for TMDSLCDK6748 instead of the huge starterware mcaspPlayBk or the MCASP_Audio_lcdkOMAPL138_c674xExampleProject from the SDK ?

Thank you very much.

Part Number:TPS84250

Hi,

Theses are two devices that seem identical: TPS84250& LMZ35003

Both these devices have two ordering options each:

TPS84250RKGR

TPS84250RKGT

LMZ35003RKGR

LMZ35003RKGT

The datasheets do not do a good job of defining the gross differences between the two parts (TPS vs LMZ) nor the ordering options (KGR vs KGT) differences

Please explain!

Thanks!

TPS65981EVM: Displayport + USB 3 Data

Part Number:TPS65981EVM

Hello,

I'm trying to establish a USB3 link with two TPS65981EVM boards as described in the User's Guide SLVUAW8–August 2016 on page 10.
When doing it as shown in the picture below, then it only establishes a USB2 link, but not a USB3 link to a flash drive. I did make sure the Flash Drive is USB3 capable by connecting it directly to the PC.
I set the switches S1 as described and initially used the firmware as was at delivery of the EVM boards.
Since this did only establish a USB2 link I was looking in the TI E2E community and fond this post:
So I tried to download the firmware mentioned there: TPS6581_HD3SS460_DRP_Source_Advanced_3_08.tpl and TPS6581_HD3SS460_UFP_Advanced_3_08.tpl but I could not find these. The Application Customization Tool seems to generate a newer version of it (4_03 instead of 3_08). When trying this, no USB link could be established to the Flash Drive. After that I tried the standard version of DFP and UFP, with this it did again only establish a USB2 link.

Which firmware should I use to establish a USB3 link?

Thank you.
