OPA1602: Opa1602 analog stage

Part Number:OPA1602

Hello ,

 I am designing A DAC analog stage using the OPA1602. The IV stage was changed so from my DAC I get a 2.0Vrms. Of course on summing I want to have the same 2.0Vrms output single ended.

  Referring to fig 37 from datasheet , I understand that to have unity gain I have to change the R330 to 680. Of course the capacitor C2700pf will change (decrease) and keep the same cutoff frequency

What I don't understand is the R 620 function (see below one function) and how to calculate in function of my feedback capacitor.

 One more doubt , you have a 8200pF capacitor across the phases , thats usually for differential noise reduction . Would 2 capacitors in series (mid point going to ground) not be better ? It will take care of both CM and DM noise,, I also understand that last R (620 in your case) is to decouple opamp inputs from that cap.. Still I think that 620R can be lowered to around 100R but I dont know if you have a specific formula to calculate it

Hi,

My customer is asking if TI can extend below certification files’ valid period.
(These file are valid until 2026.)

Under SDK install folder;

RTOS/AM6548: How to modify the ospi driver (nor_ospi.c) in order to communicate with qspi device

$

Part Number:AM6548

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hello everyone.

We are using:

  • AM654x IDK
  • processor_sdk_rtos_am65xx_5_03_00_07

We want to:

  • read/write to the ospi flash that is on the eval board (MT35XU512ABA1G12-0SIT) using single I/O instructions (as if the flash were spi one)
  • read/write to a qspi flash that is on our custom board

We did:

  • started with the sdk example project (C:\ti\processor_sdk_rtos_am65xx_5_03_00_07\demos\rtos_template_app\am65xx\evmAM65xx\A53\template_app\)
  • successfully imported ospi test code for am65 (C:\ti\pdk_am65xx_1_0_4\packages\ti\drv\spi\test\ospi_flash\src\main_ospi_flash_test.c)

but we were not able to write to/read from ospi flash in single lane mode.

We believe that driver (C:\ti\pdk_am65xx_1_0_4\packages\ti\board\src\flash\nor\ospi\nor_ospi.c) is made to work only with ospi flash using octal instructions - that is, the driver IS NOT generic.

Questions:

  1. Should we use ospi driver or qspi driver to communicate with a qspi device connected to the OSPI0 interface of the AM65x processor?
  2. When will the ospi driver become generic (so that we can communicate with a qspi flash)?
  3. What kind of changes in driver must someone make, in order to communicate with a qspi device?
  4. Is it possible to get some example code for AM65xx where a spi or qspi flash is being used?

Thank You very much in advance,

Dusan

CCS/TMS320C6652: SPI boot failure

Part Number:TMS320C6652

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I 'm trying to boot by SPI from nor flash directly.

This direct SPI firmware worked fine on the C6657EVM, then We created our custom board.

And, I modified this FW for C6652, and could load it with "No Boot" mode, this is working permanently.

Next step, I burned the FW to nor flash on our custom board. I confirmed that correct data were burned on the flash on my FW(using nor flash reading funtion).

I switched boot mode to "SPI Boot" mode, and I confirmed that C6652 was certainly driven as "SPI Boot" mode.

However, C6652 didn't boot. I already checked as follow.

1. "SPI interfaces" signal integrity is good.

2. MISO line seems to receive data from flash device, but CS0 doesn't go up forever.

3. nysh.spi.map configuration is no problem, I think. please confirm the attached.

4. I updated parameter of DDR3 Configuration in the "emif4Cfg" structure. Please confirme the attached.

I don't understand why CS couldn't be going up.

What is the cause?

*c6652_board.c is loaded as board initialization. I recognize that this configuration is same as "emif4cfg". Is It correct?

Dear Support team,

I would like to confirm the below discription in datahseet.

Q1.
* Table 5: 0x40 / 0x42 / 0x45 when I2CADDR = 0
* Table 6: When I2CADDR = 0, 010010b (0x22), 010101b (0x25)
which one is correct?

Q2. Section 7.3.19.1: GAIN_MSB / LSB
LSB / MID / MSB in Table 20 is same parameter?
Paragraph 7.3.19.1 is missing of MID register

Q3. Section 7.3.19.1: OFFSET_BYTE 1/0
Table 20: OFFSET_LSB / MID / MSB is same thing?
Paragraph 7.3.19.1 is missing of MID register

Q4. Is the register name EEPROM Address = 0x40000048 in Table 20 not PDAC_GAIN_MID but PDAC_OFFSET_MID?

Q5. Table 20 : EEPROM_PAGE_ADDRESS, ADDR [2: 0]
Figure 40 : ADDR [3: 0]
Table 20 is missing ADDR [3].
Which is correct?

Linux/BEAGLEBOARD-X15: SPI flash not detected

Part Number:BEAGLEBOARD-X15

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

I’m trying to communicate with a SPI flash by SPI4 bus on BeagleBoard X15 with embedded am5728.

SPI flash is plugged on these pins:

SPI4_CLK -> P16.09

SPI4_CS0 -> P16.44

SPI4_D0 -> P16.37

SPI4_D1 -> P16.14

I edited Linux device tree located in ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.01.00.11/board-support/linux-4.14.67/arch/arm/boot/dts and then I re-built Linux kernel.

Unfortunately, flash module isn’t visible by Linux. What’s the procedure to follow? Is there another file to edit?

Furthermore, I would like to boot on this SPI flash from u-boot. Any idea?

Thank you very much,

PMP8740

Hello Roberto,

How are you

I resumed the testing of battery charger, in that we are facing problem of output voltage regulation after loading. After testing it I come to know that, Output voltage is stable at Vout signal (across C53-C56 capacitor bank) but at connector J8 I got dropped out voltage. So the problem lies in MOSFET bank of Q12, Q17....while fault finding I gave 12V external power supply to VCC_FB, and 3.45V to Pre_charge P2.2 node. I got voltages as below

V_float=8.6V

Pre_chargeP2.2=3.45V

Voltage at Q32A base-Emmiter= 0.6V

Voltage at D19 Anode= 8.15V

because of 8.15V voltage Q33 is not able to Turn ON and hence MOSFET bank.

Is above voltages are correct?

Also which diodes from PMP8740 schematics represents Dsw1 and Dsw2?

Thanks,

Anjana

TLV320AIC3111: SLAA447 error in matlab code for biquad coefficient calculation

$

Part Number:TLV320AIC3111

Hi,

I tried calculating the biquad coefficients like suggested in application note SLAA447. I found the following thread about some issues with the matlab code (https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio/f/6/p/656270/2416244).

I fixed the error in the alpha calculation but it seems there is still something wrong. (Q factor seems off compared to the calc with TIBQ)

Can you give me an update on whats still wrong in the matlab code ?

Would appreciate that!

thanks,

Lucas Weidinger
