Please forgive the reposting of this question but the answers provided in an earlier thread (http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/high_speed_data_converters/f/68/t/103996.aspx) appear to no longer work. For that reason I'm repostin my question from the end of this thread:
This installation procedure does not work on my Windows 7 machine. I followed the process outlined by Richard earlier in this thread but there may be some confusion over the files to use.
1) 1st installation: Slic406a.zip --> .../slic406a/Volume/setup.exe
2) 2nd Installation: slic428.zip --> .../slic428/TI_WDF_USBUART_SINGLE_DRIVER_TI_V3.3b_wrapper/Setup.exe
3) Copied files over from VCP file.zip --> umpf3410.i51 & usbuard3410.inf into the .../Common-32 and ../Common-64 directories in this file path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments Inc\TUSB3410 Single Driver Installer\Windows\tiinst\TUSB3410
4) Ran C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments Inc\TUSB3410 Single Driver Installer\setup.exe.
5) Restarted my computer but I still couldn't find the com port assigned to TSW1200. (Are restarts required between any steps?)
I've seen additional downloads such as slic407.zip but haven't tried them. There have been a lot of broken links but I concluded the files in steps 1-3 are correct. In each case I followed the link to the TI website to download. I did copy the VCP files from the attached zip file in this thread. Is there a single executable available. If not, what steps am I missing?
One note: Our computing center may have removed supporting drivers. For example, I couldn't get my Xilinx USB download cable to work. It turned out I was missing the device driver called "Jungo". Once it was installed my download cable worked. Are there any other support devices/driver required other than those installed using the process outlined above?
Thanks,
Schuyler
