Part Number:TPS61099

Hi guys,

My customer has a worst case spec of 2.8Vin, 3.8Vout @ 450mA. I calculated that the SW current would be ~.89A which is greater than the min spec in the datasheet of .8A.

Should we choose another part? any recommendations?

Thanks,

Brian

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

1.We would like to know how to how to verification INA219 read value, could you help explain it?

Actually we not sure the read value is correct.

Currently is the following reading value (my high and low position is reversed, for example, 9f39 is actually 399f
Spec set  max load current is 1.5A, Vin+, Vin-pressure difference = 0.06V

2. We received INA219EVM, but looks not same as INA219 user guide? why? where can we would the big MB (Looks like TUSB73x0) information?

Thanks!!

LMP91000: LMP91000 operation using an external resistance between C1 & C2 pins

Part Number:LMP91000

I am using the LMP91000 in 3 lead amperometric mode. After trying out using the internal TIA resistance values and verifying the gains, I tried out TIACN = 0x00 and with an external resistance of 330kohm.

I was quite surprised that the output changed quite a lot from the case with TIACN=0x1C (350kohm internal resistance). The big surprise was that pin C2, which looks like it is connected to the output of the TIA, comes up with quite a different voltage to the Vout pin. I thought these two should follow one another?

Are there any circumstances in which the voltages on C2 & Vout can separate, other than temp measurement  mode which I am not using?

TPS65150: output abnormal

Part Number:TPS65150

Hello

LCD application ,VDD=3.3V, AVDD=13.28V,VGH=22.09V, VGL=-7V;  VGH with one charge pump stage.

Fault: it seems could start-up sucessful at the begining, but after 5S, the VGL and VGH go back to 0V, but AVDD is OK just with some ripple; then after 8S ,VGH and VGL try regulating to its target voltage but failed. detail waveform could see in the attached .doc.

At first, I think it may be caused by overload on VGL or VGH,lead to TPS65150 enter in shutdown for out-of regulate protection, but I find AVDD is normal just with some ripple ,so it could not be enter in shutdown.

Secondly, it seems not to be in UVLO ,because of boost converter was working.

So do you have any comment here ?

by the way , today my another customer also find one set TPS65150 board have similar problem, Engineer repeately power ON/OFF VDD 3.3V, some times the board could be start up sucessful,some times it couldn't, the AVDD is ok, but VGH,VGL could not start-up.

Hi team,

Customer use SN74LVC2T45 in the UART application, package is DTC(DUT). As DIR is connected to GND, this circuit can not work.

1. Do we have PIN to PIN bi-direction socket so we do not need redesign the PCB?

2. If not, can TXS0102 used in UART 3.3 to 5V level shift? Any better bi-direction recommend?

CCS/TM4C123GH6PM: All interrupts doesn't work while debugging

Hello. I have a custom board with TM4C123GH6PM MCU. I use segger for debuging. Then i start debug my code no one interrupts doesn't happend(periodic timer). But if i repower contorller it work correctly. I checked it by toggling led in different interrupt handelrs. I am sure about added IntMasterEnable(); line in my code after initialization. Before using my custom board i used ek-tm4c1294xl for practice and similar code work great(i just changed pinmux). How to fix it?

DS90UB935-Q1: CSI-2 Errors

$

Part Number:DS90UB935-Q1

Hi all,

We want to monitor the errors on the CSI-2 lines due to errors created on the physical layer at higher temperatures.

The idea is to monitor the CSI_ERR_CNT register and look at the counter.
Unfortunately we see that this register indicates that there are a lot of packets received with errors. To determine what the received errors are we looked at the eye diagrams of the signals. These are all looking good.

We monitored the CSI-error registers(with a python script) for a while and they are looking like this:

SerialReg 0x5c = 0xff
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x2c
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x2c
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x2a
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x31
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x26
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x2a
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x28

SerialReg 0x5c = 0x17
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x21
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x26
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x23
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x21
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x23
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x25
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x23
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x22
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x21
SerialReg 0x5d = 0x24
SerialReg 0x5c = 0x23

...

The question here is are these errors generated due to the physical layer or due to protocol issues?
We also haven't noticed any problem with the received data of this CSI-2 interface on the deserializer side.

Thanks,
Stijn

CCS/MSP432E411Y: ROV does not interprete %f

$

Part Number:MSP432E411Y

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear TI-Experts,

I'm using the following code for logging float data:

                    Log_print2(Diags_USER4, "ADC_Sensitive: Offset to high: %d lsb = %f uV",
                               self->ADC_PeriodicHandlerOffset, floatToArg(ofs*1.0e6));

ofs is a float variable. Logger is LoggerStopMode.

When using RTOS Analyzer -> Printf and Error Logs I see the right value for ofs displayed after stopping the µC.

But in ROV -> LoggerStopMode I only see "f", but no value. When using integers and %d everything is fine.

I assume, that %f is currently not implemented in ROV? Could you add this feature? Thank you in advance!

Compiler/TMS320F28069: 28069 "Caution While Using Nested Interrupts" SPRZ342N errata explanation

$

0

Part Number:TMS320F28069

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hello,

We are using nested interrupt mechanism on different C2000 microcontrollers to implement interrupt prioritization.

Scheme look like this

LowPriority interrupt (every 10 ms based on timer 0)
{
 /* Acknowledge interrupt group to receive more interrupts for this group */
 s_DrvIT_CorePieCtrlRegs.PIEACK.all = DRV_IT_CORE_PIEACK_GROUP1 ;
    /* Enable MedPriority and HighPriority interrupts */
    IER = DRV_IT_M_INT3 | DRV_IT_M_INT13
    EINT;
 /* perform low priority operations */
 .
 /* and nothing more */
}
MedPriority interrupt (every ms based on timer 1)
{
    /* Enable MedPriority and HighPriority interrupts */
    IER = DRV_IT_M_INT3
    EINT;

 /* perform Medium priority operations */
 .
 /* and nothing more */
}
HighPriority interrupt (XINT based)
{
 /* Acknowledge interrupt group to receive more interrupts for this group */
 s_DrvIT_CorePieCtrlRegs.PIEACK.all = DRV_IT_CORE_PIEACK_GROUP1 ;
 /* high priority operations */
 .
 .
 /* and nothing more */
}

This scheme is used in 2812, 28335 and 28069 without issue, until the errata SPRZ342N (for x28069) mentioning:

"

If the user is enabling interrupts using the EINT instruction inside an interrupt service routine (ISR) in order

to use the nesting feature, then the user must disable the interrupts before exiting the ISR. Failing to do so

may cause undefined behavior of CPU execution.

"

So in our code, it means adding DINT at the end of Medium and low Priority interrupts ? Is it normal in an architectural point of view or rather a workaround ?

What's an "undefined behavior" of CPU execution ? Have you an idea of the occurrence frequency ?

Thanks and regards,

David

TMS320C6654: Clocking

Part Number:TMS320C6654

Hello,

1. Can you recommend a good clocking chip to provide clocks to C6654? I looked at the evaluation board of C6657 and it uses CDCE62005. Is that good to use? I need to provide clock input to CORECLKP/N and DDRCLKP/N. If I don't need PCIe, is it okay to terminate and not provide clocks to PCIECLKP/N?

2. If I use CDCE62005, or equivalent, is it expected for the host to program the clock generator via SPI prior to deassertion of POR? If not can it clock out with some default settings? I'd like to operate the DSP at 850 MHz and I saw the C6657 eval board provides 50 MHz to DDRCLKP/N and 100 MHz to CORECLKP/N. Can I do the same? And if so, how can I default the clocks to these values?

Thanks,

Divakar

JTAG programmer on a product

Hi.

I was wondering if it is possible/legal to have a JTAG programmer on a commercial product.

My intention was to have one XDS100V2 (or other supported daisy chain programmer) with several MCUs on a product and be able to remotely change the firmware of each MCU.

Am i supposed to have a jtag programmer designed on my board or can i buy one and integrate? If i need to have it onboard how can i flash de FDTI and the CPLD with the right codes?

BTW the XDS100V2 only programs TI devices or am i able to program other ARM MCUs (ST for example)?

Thanks,

André

BQ27742-G1: Impact of connecting Vss to wrong terminal

Part Number:BQ27742-G1

Hello team,

See below customer question:

Please check the circuit configuration to determine if the BQ27742 device can be used as shown in the schematic. During a Gerber file edit, I misplaced a trace that should have connected the Vss network around the BQ27742 to the wrong terminal of C11, thus "floating" the chip and tying REG25 (E1) to Vss.  Will that damage the chip when power is applied, or will the LDO simply fold back?
