Hi Sir

We used AM3352 with DP83848T for design. And we would like to use Ethernet port for ping IP.

DP83848T is set as RMII mode and the connection between CPU and DP83848T is correct.

When we execute ping command and it always failed.

we have measured some signal and need your suggestion as below

      a. we measure PFBOUT/ RBIAS pin and the voltage is  1.76V

      b.RESET_N(Pin23) is 3.0V

      c. RX_DV/MII_MODE (pin 39) pulled up to 3.3v --> configured as RMII mode

      d. AVD33 (pin18), IOVDD33(pin1, 26) - 3.3v

      e. X1 (pin 28) - 50 Mhz from osc

      f. MDC (pin 25)  - 1.0Mhz~1.9Mhz -> please help confirm this vfrequency is ok or not.

      g. COL/PHYAD0(Pin35) -> we have pull up this pin to 3.3V using a 2.2K resistor .

           At bootup status, this pin bring up from 0V to 3.3V sometimes. After entering system, the level of COL/PHYAD0 keep low.

          please help to confirm the status is ok or not.

Thanks for your suggestion

MSP430G2211: Pin Assignments for Comparator Modules

Part Number:MSP430G2211

I am having a bit of trouble understanding how to assign a specific pin to a Comparator_A module on msp430g2211. The example code has the following: Now I understand that CACTL1 is assigned to be 0.25*VCC and is on but how do we know it's on the -comp? Also CACTL2 is assigned to P2CA4 which is stated to be P1.1 (or CA1), but how do you know it's P1.1? What if you wanted to use P1.5 to be assigned to CACTL2 which according to the datasheet (see page 6) is CA5?

I looked further into this and found the msp430x2xx family user's guide where on page 531 it explains a bit of the nomenclature but I'm still not very clear on how to assign CACTL2 to specific pins. Help is appreciated!

Hello,

I am working on FFT and i am using CC1350 controller. I have been reffering the documentation made by TI which has the detailed explanation with the code flow and firmware download link.

I downloaded the firmware from the link present in the document and tried with an array of size 1024 by giving dummy values. for few set of values i get a proper FFT and i validated the points with octave but sometimes it never works. i will get computed FFt values as zero.

I have mentioned the document link below:

It would be great if someone can help me with issue and guide me on getting output as expected.

thank you in advance.

Hi Team,

Is it possible to have 2 TPA2028D1 on the same I2C bus (same address) as long as one is disabled via the EN pin while the other is communicating with the master? Disabling the IC seems to make the I2C pins high impedance so it looks feasible, but just want to confirm that I'm not missing anything.

Part Number:BQ500212A

Hi,

we have designed a wireless charging station using the BQ500212A.
The PCB is up and running but we face some problems in configuring the Foreign object detection, understanding the calculations and the LED bits.
We use an I2C adaptor to read the status of thip, here are our qestions:

1) How to interpret the led out value (8 Bits to corresponding 2 LED's)
    We don't unterstand the coding.

2) Parasitic loss without a foreign object is shown as negative value?

3) Resistors in our design:
FOD_CAL = 86,6K
PMOD = none (left open)
FOD = 68K

4) How to define the 3 resistors for FOD_CAL, FOD and PMOD

Is there any instruction available how to derive these values for our design?

Here are the logs of the data we read from the BQ500212A.

CCS/SIMPLELINK-CC2640R2-SDK: CCSTUDIO

Hi all,

I've been reading lots of posts the past few days but so far I haven't found an answer.

I have a LaunchXL CC2640R2 and am happily playing with Project Zero.

Now I want to switch the logging to the xdc console instead of the UART.

My custom board has other uses for the UART. (It uses a Sable-X-R2 module and communicates with the rest of the sensor system using the UART)

Following various posts I include in my .cfg the following (and change the includes etc in Project0)

var LoggingSetup = xdc.useModule('ti.uia.sysbios.LoggingSetup');
var LoggerStopMode = xdc.useModule('ti.uia.loggers.LoggerStopMode');
var Log = xdc.useModule('xdc.runtime.Log');

But the build fails due to the image being too big to fit in the memory space. -- This is still using the code in ROM btw. I just need the BLEstack events to log.

I have found one post answer that indicated this might always be the case.

If I understand correctly the simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_2_30_00_28 has a cut-down version of TI-RTOS/ SYS-BIOS; presumably to save memory? But seeing that the Project Zero source indicates that xdctool logging may be enabled I must be missing something.

My question is whether there is a low footprint way to send the log info to the CCS V83 console?

Thanks

pat

Gang Pro ARM

Hi Gregory,

Your suggestion was really useful to me. Now I can read data from buffer successfully. But I am facing challenges while reading data again after I write data.

 As per your suggestion I followed the sequence given below:

  1. F_ConfigLoad()
  2. F_AutoProgram( 0 )
  3. F_Open_Target_Device()
  4. F_Copy_Flash_to_Gang_Buffer()
  5. F_Get_Byte_from_Gang_Buffer()

After this execution I got exact data string from an expected address.

But after this execution I entered this data in byte array and implemented write functionality to edit data using following code. But after using 'F_Put_Byte_to_Buffer' if again try to read data, it’s not giving me an updated data string. Its giving me an old data string.

I want to replace data string at address '0x000000E0' from flash memory given in the following image by a customized string. I used 'F_Put_Byte_to_Buffer' to write customized string at the mentioned address, then I copied data to flash using 'F_Copy_Buffer_to_Flash' . But if now I go to the data viewer shown below, it still shows the same previous data and not the updated one.

Can you please tell me why data is not getting updated in flash memory or I am missing any function or any sequence?

Thanks & regards,

Shradha K.

CC2538: CC2538 PWM for ZLL

Part Number:CC2538

Hello,

I need to use PWM for 3/4 Channels for controlling RGBW LED's and for this I have done the configuration specified by Yikai in the following link:

But here I need to understand the PWM as it is not working because the timer_init function has only following things in the default code.

void HalTimer1Init (halTimerCBack_t cBack)
{
  //not used for now
  (void) cBack;

  //
  // Enable GPT0
  //
  SysCtrlPeripheralEnable(SYS_CTRL_PERIPH_GPT0);

  //
  // Configure Timer0A for PWM use
  //
  TimerConfigure(GPTIMER0_BASE, GPTIMER_CFG_SPLIT_PAIR |
                 GPTIMER_CFG_A_PWM);

  //
  // Set Duty cycle and enable
  //
  TimerLoadSet(GPTIMER0_BASE, GPTIMER_A, PWM_PERIOD);
  TimerMatchSet(GPTIMER0_BASE, GPTIMER_A, PWM_PERIOD);
  TimerEnable(GPTIMER0_BASE, GPTIMER_A);

  //
  // Set duty cycle to 0
  //
  TimerMatchSet(GPTIMER0_BASE, GPTIMER_A, 0);
}

Now here for CC2538 there no mutiple channels for single timer, there are only 4 Timers that can be used for PWM.

For this please let me know how do I do the configurations?

Hello,

We have a USB 3.0 camera and when we connect it to our custom board it doesn't show any image.We don't have any oscilloscope capable of eye diagram measurement. And the correction with 220k resistors and 330nF were made. |When we connect the device it fallbacks to USB2.0.

This is the schematic:

System connections:

Laptop <== USB 3.0 1.8m cable ==> Custom board  with TUSB1002<== USB 3.0 1.5m cable ==> Camera

We have an 2GSps oscilloscope available. How would you measure USB 3.0 signal lines to check if the IC is working properly?

Part Number:LM5060

On page 5 of the datasheet, there is a accuracy of 7mV @Tj=-40..+175°C

On page 9, Figure 14 shows the same issue, but there is an accuracy of 0.2..-0.4mV @Tj=-40..+175°C

What is correct?

I did a request a few days ago over the "Submit Documentation Feedback" link of the datasheet, but didn't get any response yet.
