DAC80501: non-volatile DAC

In one of the use case, customer needs a DAC with following specs:- output < 3V Resolution >= 8bits, Channel <= 2, Ref internal interface :- I2C/SPI/Single wire.

Key requirement is: Reset to last power-ON state ( DAC power-ON output should be maintained to last output state (before power OFF), when power cycleing (OFF-ON) is done.)

DAC80501 looks good but Reset to Mid-Scale. 

Need your suggestion if DAC80501 or any other DAC can meet above customer specs ?

I refer to this 1.4.5.1.4. PDK Example and Test Project Creation.

Step1. I have installed the CCS  and PDK_OMAPL138 and other components in the default path "C:\ti".As being shown below.

Step2. I create the file "MyExampleCreate.bat" in the pdk packages directory. And  write "pdkProjectCreate.bat OMAPL138 all little uart all dsp" to the file.

Step3.I ran the file MyExampleCreate.bat, in the Command line window. The result is shown below.

While Copying macros.ini file, an error has occurred, as"The system cannot find the specified path".

Is there a problem with my steps?

How can I correct it?

TMS320F28035: XDS110 used to supply power for F28035 for flash programming

Dear champs,

I am asking this for our customers.

In F28035, it says the typical flash programming current is about 150 mA.

On XDS110 user guide (SPRUI94)

In sec 3.1.3, it says, "The XDS110 debug probe can be used for debugging targets across 1.8-V to 3.6-V IO levels. The XDS110 probe can also be used to supply power to targets with 1.8-V to 3.6-V IO and with current draw limited to ~400 mA. Configuring the power supply capability requires some additional setup steps."

Therefore, it appears XDS110 can be used to provide 3.3V power supply when programming the flash.

Our customer has tested it and use XDS110 to provide 3.3V directly on their target board for F28035 flash programming.

Mostly it works, but they still got a few permanent flash locking on F28035 and this annoyed them.

Our questions are:

1. Would you please help check with XDS110 designers if XDS110 really supports up to 400 mA? What is the part number of the LDO or DCDC they use for output current?

2. Do you suggest using XDS110 for power supply for F28035 and for those C2000 devices which requires much less than 400 mA during flash programming?

3. If not, would you please help describe it explicitly on XDS110 user manual so that others are not confused.

We are also suspecting the power supplying of the USB port from the PC laptop and/or powered USB hub may be also an issue.

But in theory USB 2.0 or newer USB 3.0 should support >=500mA.

Therefore, we are asking if XDS110 is proper to provide current for F28035....

I have been doing mass production with some xds110s recently. Suddenly xds110 doesn't work.

The others work on the same board. The XDS100v3 works too.

I checked common errors in below link.

And I checked test connection using xds emulation package.

And said that it is:

attached to a TI AM335x or AM437x processor on a production target board

 

I have board EVMK2H with TMS320TCI6638 which belongs to the family Sitara AM5x (as far as I understand), not AM335x or AM437x 

Is there a utility for programming the images in Flash of my board EVMK2H?

In particular, I need to load an operating system Linux into my platform.

And where can I get the image of the operating system Linux for EVMK2H?

CC1312R: CC1312 different version compatible with different version SDK

Hi Sir,

Customer are using CC1312 R0 version sample for development based on SDK 1.6 version for long time. Now near to mass production. Considering formal MP version will not be ready now. They will first use R0 for mass production. But considering we will finally totally change to ship final MP version CC1312. They need to considering the plan to switch to formal version CC1312 with supported SDK.

Would you please help confirm about the compatibility between CC1312 different version with different SDK?

For example:

CC1312R0 -> SDK 1.6 (Supported) . Does future SDK support R0?

CC1312R1 -> SDK 1.6 ?, SDK x.x ?

CC1312 final version -> SDK ?

BQ24725: if the control CPU is power down, can BQ24725 charge to BATTERY lonely?

CC1310: The frequency of signal wave varies a lot with the temperature

Hi, our products are also suffering from a frequency of signal wave-related problem with temperature changes. I have read a link about creating a crystal frequency error table.

1. I think it talks about CPU clock, not the frequency of signal wave. What should I do? Should I determine the change of the frequency of signal wave according to the temperature, then during transmitting I will measure the temperature and adjust "RF_cmdFs.frequency, RF_cmdFs.fractFreq" accordingly. Changing "firmware" in the above link refers to setting "RF_cmdFs.frequency, RF_cmdFs.fractFreq"? Or can you suggest another solution?
2. In the ccfg.c file, I found the settings:

  •  XOSC override settings
  • Clock settings

I don't know if it's related to the problem I'm having.

We have a system with Sony sensor IMX390 20bit output. The deserializer is Ti954 which will out 2lane MIPI(port0) with 2lane MIPI(replicated).

Whole data pass is : IMX390 20bit raw->TI953->TI954->2lane+2lane(replicated)output.

Can I get the register setting of Ti954 basing ?

Hi Team,

   Here have the questions that need your help to have the comment and suggestion for the Power ON/OFF test requirement as follows:

   As attached files are the Power ON and Power OFF waveform.

      *12V is supplied to Pgamma VS pin and 3.3V is supplied to Pgamma VSD pin.  

   From D/S that the digital supply must be applied before the analog supply to avoid excessive current and power consumption, or possibly even damage to the device if left connected only to the analog supply for extended periods of time.

   Will it has any risk during power off due to it would be has about 8msec period  that VS >9V but VSD>2V?  

   If it's, then have any suggestion to avoid the damage risk?

Our customer is currently using DCR010503U.
Isolation LDO is applied to the board with digital power supply (+5.6V) and PoE power (-57V).
However, in the next mass production, digital power must be applied first to output Vout, and if PoE power is applied first, Vout will not be output.
Do you have a DCR010503U IC with a different version?
