ADS7852: ADS7852YB/250

Part Number:ADS7852

Hi,

I am interfacing ADC ADS7852YB/250 with FPGA. I am facing some problems using this part number ADS7852. Device Marking of this part is A52Y-OCC-SERI.

I am facing following problems using this ADC.

1. Internal Reference of this IC drops for different inputs. For example when I was converting Channel 0 (Address 000) then reference output was 2.5v, but when I was converting Channel 2 (Address 010) then reference drops to 1.7v.

2. When I was converting Channel 0 (Address 000) then results were correct for input range of (3.7v to 5v) and (0v to 1.2v). and results were incorrect for an input range of (1.2v to 3.7v). For example when input was 3,7v then output was 4.89v.

3. When I selected Channel 2 (Address 010) then I didn't received the correct output of ADC for that range (3.7v to 5v) and (0v to 1.2v). for example when input was 4.5v then output of ADC was 4.13v. And for range of (3.7v to 5v) the result were same as for channel 0.

Please tell me why I am having these types of problems. Also tell me why that marking ID against this part number is correct or not and this is not a Replicate or Chinese part.

I have attached my design in attachments.

One more thing I used external reference of 2.5v when I was not getting correct internal reference.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks.(Please visit the site to view this file)

AM5746: about TIMEOUTENABLE-bit

Part Number:AM5746

Hello, TI Experts,

Our customer sent us an additional question about TIMEOUTENABLE-bit of AM5746 from below E2E thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/734014

Question:

When TIMEOUTENABLE-bit set to "0" to disable this timeout feature, a time-out error don't occurs.

Because the time-out counter don't count and never reaches 0 regardless gpmc bus signals condition such as gpmc_wait and gpmc_csx.

Is this understanding correct?

Hello Ti,

We have EEPROM on I2C0 and TMP sensor on I2C1

I2C_EEPROM: SCL(DIO_11) and SDA(DIO12)

I2C1 : SDA(DIO_5) and SCL(DIO_6)

Since we have only one I2C0 in code how to do pin muxing for other one as I2C1?

Thanks and Regards,

AM5728: Request for optimization on the power consumption

Part Number:AM5728

Dear TI,

PFA, the AM5728 power consumption calculated for our specific application, in which we have worked out the power based on the frequency of operation and peripherals under usage. The total power consumption has turned out to be 1420mW.

Kindly get it verified as early as possible. Customer needs to start the design immediately.

The power consumption should be as low as 600mW with all the functions running, what is the optimization that could be done to achieve the 600mW consumption.

What are the power saving modes which could be enabled so that we can get the least power consumption of the processor.

This is completely battery driven application  we need the whole system to be working for a minimum of 10 to 12 Hrs with recording function with the use of 3 Li-ion batteries connected in series (3*3600mAH Li-Ion, each battery of 4.2V).

Apart from that the functions operated under non recording condition is 1 port of 24bit digital video input, 1port of 24bit digital video output, one 8 bit digital video output and 3x3 matrix keypad functions used to operate the menu functions of the device.

Under the non recording condition, can the processor with the above peripherals under usage just consume 100mA of power? can the optimization be done that way?

Please let me know the answers for the above questions.

Part Number:AWR1642

Hi,

I have couple questions about document "SPYY007 Figure 4 & Figure 6".

1. SPYY007 Figure 4a shows the TX ramping frequency, why there are 2 frequency ramping direction ? Or it means there is a LO(TX) harmonic also reflected at the opposide of DC ?

2. SPYY007 Figure 4b shows the RX reflected signals delay TX, does it also represent the harmonic signals of RX at the opposide of DC on the left side of 4b figure ?

3.  In conventional real baseband mixer, the IF=RF-LO and IF(image)=RF+LO, assume the IF(image) has been filtered out, so it should only have IF=RF-LO signal appear on the IF spectrum and one side of DC.

I am confused why there are 2 IF signals on the spectrum which is located at DC left and right side as Figure 4c ?

4. Similar question as above for figure 6, if there is a LO signal or harmonic of LO at DC left side as figure 6 left side, why it's no signal showed on the left side of figure 6c after mixed with quadrature mixer ?

Basically, i am confused why same signals (either LO or RX) are reflected on DC left and right side.

Pls. kimdly explain more detail, thanks.

Compiler: Will clock cycles change based on function arguments count?

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hi,

In Kernel-C programming, is there any effect in clock cycles if we increase the function arguments?

For example,

func(int, int, int, int) -> executed in x cycles

func(int, int, int, int, int, int) -> will this be executed in x or x+y or x-y cycles?

There is no change in the function body.

Thanks,

Part Number:TAS2560

Hi Sirs,

My customer is asing the TAS2560 to support the following clock configurations:

1.     MCLK : 24.576 MHz
2.     BCLK : 48fs = 768KHz
3.     LRCLK  : fs = 16KHz
4.     24 bits mode , RJF

However, TAS2560 PPC3 GUI ver 3.0.4, the system integration supports MCLK at 1.536MHz~20MHz. BCLK at 1.536MHz~5.6448MHz with 16kHz sample rate, and no ASI formation selection options.

Would you please manage to check if the TAS2560 can support customer's clock configuration? If yes, please add this option and ASI format selection to PPC3 GUI.

Thank you and Best regards,

Wayne Chen

Part Number:LP8556

Hello,

My customer use LP8556 the bellow condition.

Vin : 8.1 ~ 13.2

Vout : 30V (8S6P)

Iout : 120mA (20mA / ch)

Fsw : 1250kHz

We see '9.2.2.1 Recommended Inductance for the Boost Power Stage ' in datasheets,

they wish choose inductance value of 10 μH - 22 μH.

They hope to use inductance value of  4.7uH, because they want to size down.

Is there a way to use this value?

PTH04040W: Burnout of FET

Part Number:PTH04040W

Hi, team.

Several events have occurred in which a specific FET of PTH04040W burns out.
The burning FET is circled in the figure below.

I think that other FETs will also break if input overvoltage, but only certain FETs are broken.
Can you estimate the cause?

I think that PTH04040 W is 3-Phase PWM, but is it always operating at 3-Phase? Or will the number of Phases increase depending on the load?

Hi,

I am using CL_SOM_AM57x board which contain AM5728,Now i would like to toggle an led in different pins by command in linux (export , direction and value ). From the datasheet i found the gpios are named like gpio1_5 etc,but in Linux command can use only "gpio2 ..etc". How to find out  the gpio number and toggle it with commands.

Hi,

I have a query regarding the GPIO register configuration of ds90ub949-q1 serializer.

I wanted to configure PIN 11, D_GPIO2 as input as well as PIN 5, GPIO1 as input. I understand that I have to set the register 0x0E = 0x33. But how do I select between D_GPIO2 ( bit[7:4] ) and GPIO1(bit[3:0] ) if i have to set PORT1_SEL = 1 to select D_GPIO2?
