BQ24031: BQ24031 Regulation Current and Regulation Voltage conversion

hi 

I have a problem with BQ24031 chip. it's two processes for charging, constant current  and constant voltage. However, the datasheet does not mention how many volts will be charged in the constant current and then transferred to constant pressure.In my product application, during the fast charging process, the current will decrease as the voltage rises to 3.85V during the constant current phase.  From the chip datasheet, the current starts to decrease at 4.1 volts. But, in my design ,the current starts to decrease at 3.85 volts.Why? This chip, the constant current conversion is changed to a constant voltage state, and the battery voltage value will be? I need some help.Thank you .jinxing.wang

CCS/UCD3138064: XDS100V2 Device Identification issue

Gents,

My customer is using the XDS100V2 USB debug probe with the UCD3138064 and gets the following error:

 

ARM7_0: GEL Output: /nMemory Map Initialization Complete/nARM7_0: GEL Output: /tMemory Map Setup for Flash at Address                    0x0ARM7_0: Missing String property "FlashVerboseMode"

ARM7_0: Device Identification (DEV) 0x447F, Device is <unknown>

ARM7_0: Flash Programmer: Target configuration does not match the connected chip; expected:UCD3138064, actual:<unknown>

 

Communication works fine if replacing the chip with UCD3138064A and changing the project configuration from UCD3138064->UCD3138064A

 

Communicating with the UCD3138064  using the UCD3XXX Device GUI works fine.

 

Any hints on how to get the XDS100V2 debug probe to recognize the UCD3138064

I have built the latest SDK from source per the website instructions, and I am able to successfully build the arago-base-tisdk-image.  However, as a next step I wish to customize my image, and as part of that process I have tried to use the bitbake-layers command, but I get the following errors:

The processor SDK website instructs the user to get the linaro toolchain with the following command:

wget https://releases.linaro.org/components/toolchain/binaries/7.2-2017.11/arm-linux-gnueabihf/gcc-linaro-7.2.1-2017.11-x86_64_arm-linux-gnueabihf.tar.xz

I don't even see the missing toolchain available on the Linaro site.

For example, when the input voltage is 2.5 V, how many VOUT voltages and What is the current limit at that time?

Hi,

We need a processor with ethernet (PHY could be external) like the F28M35H52C but that could boot from XINTF (like Delfino 28335 and 2812). According to datasheet the this concerto processor cant do that.

Is there an alternative to this processor that could do that ? Temp interval -40 to +85 (or +125C). Does not have to be dual core. We will only use this processor for maintenance ethernet tasks. Physical size should be as smal as possible du to limited space on the board. We will run all code from external memory so internal flash amount is not critical.

AM3358: AM3358 ADC Sample issue

AM3358 At present, when we debug, we encounter a problem that the resistive touch screen is inaccurate. After the calibration, it is accurate. However, after the system restarts, sometimes the position will be offset!

Initially suspected to be the problem of calibration data, the latter debug found that the calibration data is OK; so we directly read back the ADC data, and found that the value of the ADC sample of the same position

am335x changed every time the system is restarted, I think Have you ever encountered such a problem on your side? The hardware uses the touch screen interface that comes with AM3358!, pls help check it and give

the solution how to solve it,tks!


CSD19532KTT: absolute maximum ratings, drain-source voltage and power dissipation

Hi team,

Customer would like to confirm below two things. They would like to use CSD19532KTT  but found this will be broken by lifetime test. They would like to solve this break and has below questions.

1. CSD19532KTT is being used for motor application. And the drain-source voltage applied to this FET can exceed 100V during 3usec in a 50usec period. They would like to confirm whether this short time violation of the absolute maxim ratings are acceptable. Could you give any comments on this?

2. Customer would like to understand the definition of power dissipation of absolute maximum voltage. How should they understand this?

They are thinking like below.

Power dissipation should not exceed this value even for just a very short time.

or

This value is the power dissipation when the junction temperature will exceed a certain temperature at 25C ambient temperature. So this means it may be OK to exceed this power dissipation if the junction temperature doesn't exceed a certain temperature. They think that heat sink may help if the latter one is correct.

We have done some measurements at the RF output of the CC1125 in CW emission with 14 dBm output power.

We  have seen that the noise floor is 15 dB higher in the sub-1 GHz band than frequency >1 GHz.

Linux/AM3352: u-boot, floating point math operation...

On my board I have few ADM1293 for power measurement, and i wanted to show power , voltage, current value at u-boot level. this requires some math operation. and in my calculation function i have some float - multiplication, division. 

When I compile code I get following error for float operation.

undefined reference to `__aeabi_f2iz'  ,  `__aeabi_i2f' ,  `__aeabi_fsub' ,  `__aeabi_fmul'  `__aeabi_f2iz'

I am using gcc-linaro-6.2.1-2016.11-x86_64_arm-linux-gnueabihf tool  chain.

How to fix this one? Am i missing to link float library? my tool-chain support hard float point. is it possible to use soft float library? 

TPS659037: I2C : re-map address to 0x5x?

The SLIS165F datasheet says at page 56 Table 5-7 that each I2C page (Power registers, OTP, Interface and auxilieris) can be re-map to an other address:

How can the re-map be done?
Is it by writing the ID_I2C1[x] bit to 0 or 1? But what if you can only talk to the TPS659xxx via I2C address 0x5x?
Can t be done by HW like pull up/down to fix the address to 0x4x or 0x5x?
Or is there a way to change the OTP config once to have a permanent I2C 0x5x address?

LM5060-Q1: finding the best solution for high-side power switch control

Hello,

we're looking for an IC that can control a high side back to back N-MOSFETs power supply switch.

There are up to 5 independently controlled switches in the considered application. IC with an integrated charge pump is preferred, but less integrated solutions are acceptable as well (for example circuits that relay on an external charge pump).

Important aspects:

  1. Cost, including required external components.
  2. Switch has to withstand at least 32V for 300ms.
  3. Reverse polarity protection.
  4. GS voltage in on state around 10V.
  5. Failure modes – does a damaged component (for example MOSFET) in one channel affects operation of other channels?
  6. Possibility to disable/configure overload protection on the switch side if such feature is present in the IC.
  7. EMC robustness.
  8. Current consumption in the disabled state.

LM5060-Q1 looks promising, but requires external components for functions that are not needed in our application (UVLO, OVP, VDS Fault Detection). An IC with access to the internal charge pump would be better, so the charge pump voltage can be reused in the circuit to drive other switches (provided the charge pump stays active if the switch is disabled). Load discharge by the OUT pin in the off state is not desirable in some of the intended applications.

LM74700-Q1 does not seem to provide switch-off functionality by the EN pin. It looks like back-to-back MOSFET arrangement is not possible – the ANODE pin provides both reference for GATE voltage and supply for the charge pump.

Can you recommend any better alternatives?

About the high side drivers without integrated charge pump: can TI offer an IC that can act as a switch between a charge pump and a MOSFET gate in a high side back-to-back arrangement (level shifter)?

ADS1120: Thermocouple measurement offset calibration

Hello guys,

So I am using ADS1120 to measure the thermocouple temperature. As I was referring to the manual I came across the section 9.2.1.3 Application curves which speaks about a system offset calibration performed to translate Vtc to 0V. Can anyone explain what kind of offset calibration was it? As I am trying to measure the K type thermocouple temperature, I get some absurd values after I perform the cold junction compensation as mentioned in the manual.

My ambient temp is 22.5 deg C and for testing purposes I am measuring an object with 30 deg C temperature (this is the hot junction).

Can anybody help me with this?
