CCS/CC2640: Establishing older development environment and finding SDKs

I'm trying to setup a development environment for existing hardware utilizing the CC2640F128 devices.  The Code Composer Studio has the CC2640R2 SDKs in the recourse explorer but no CC2640 SDK or CCC26XX SDK.  I have tried it with CCS Ver 7 & 8.  If you go to downloads related to the CC2640F128 you can find the BLE-Stack 2.2.2 and BLE-Stack II.  If you download these and install them into the default C:/TI/Simplelink directory CCS doesn't recognize them as a resource.  The examples must be individual imported.  I'm trying to not work so hard just to establish a development environment for older hardware.

Most of the links to the CC2640F128 SDKs etc don't have anything in them under the normal tabs.  There is no 26XX SDK in resource explorer within CCS.

Any suggestions?

bRUSHLESS pm MOTOR CONTROL

WE ARE MOTOR DESIGNERS AND NEED CONTROLLERS. The power levels and voltages are high, typical voltage is 400-500 and current levels in the 50 to  100s amps. These are for EV use. We need design help mostly to decide on a path for the best solution.  Advice please as to what family of TI products would be most applicable.

TDC7200EVM: com port disconnected intermittently and would like to get the data by serial IF without GUI

Hi Experts,

Our customer asked a couple of questions below:
1) Com connection intermittently disconnected.
   TDC7201-ZAX-EVM and MSP-EXP430F5529LP are utilized. The specified FW was written onto MSP430.
   Could you please let us know what we should check?

2) Would like to retrieve the data from serial communication.
   They would like to get the data like TOF_ONE_SHOT in GUI through serial communication.
   Is it possible to retrieve the data without GUI?

CC1310: Issues with send/recv at 5.0 kbps

Hi All,

   I have a system that uses a custom 1310/1190 board communicating with a Launchpad 1310/1190.  I have not been able to get the system to work at 5.0 kbps.

It works fine at 2.5, 50, and 500 kbps.  I have tried the following:

1) Ensured the smartrf_settings.* files in my application match newly-exported files from RF Studio.

2) Connected both of the boards to RF Studio and sent packets between them.  This works fine at 5.0 kbps.

3) Connected our custom board to RF Studio and configured to receive.  Transmit was from the Launchpad 1310/1190 using our custom application. This did not work.  RF Studio

      saw the packets but they all had invalid CRC.

4) TX power does not make a difference

Everything points to an invalid 1310/1190 configuration using our custom applications.  Both the Launchpad and our custom board use almost the exact same code and configuration.

I am running at 915 Mhz using the sync code 0x930b51de.  I am using RF Studio 7-2.9.0.  I am using SDK 2_10_00_36 and running TI RTOS.  Code has been developed using

CCS version 8.1.0.00011.

I have attached a copy of the smartrf_settings.c file I am using.

I am using CC2640R2 5XD . One question for UART configuration. 

if possible change UART pin to

or

I tried both setting. But these didn't work well for me.

Hi，recently downloaded from the official PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X 02_00_02_11 version of the SDK development bbb, encountered the following problems, need help。Compile SDK according to  the "Sitara_Linux_Program_the_eMMC_on_Beaglebone_Black" documents。Two of these patch "0001-Change-finduuid-to-use-mmcdev.patch.gz" and "sitara_flasher_initramfs_rev_1.0.tar.gz" can not be downloaded,Can you provide it?

In make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf-O=flasher_usb am335x_evm_usb spl_defconfig allcompiled the u-boot-spl-restore.bing, to the u-boot-spl-restore.img, in the the the example:

CCS/CC2640: CC2640 single-image (Stack+App) with off-chip OAD capability

Hello.

I need an example single-image off-chip OAD CCS project, for the CC2640, for SDK version 2.20.00.49.

I require that project to be of the single-image type, meaning the Stack and App are to be linked to a single image, while still having OAD capability.

That is because using the split-image configuration (where the stack and app are 2 different loadable binaries) takes too much RAM and internal-FLASH, leaving too little free space for my purposes.

The split-image SBP-OAD example project I tested for code and RAM usage, was this:

C:\ti\simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_2_20_00_49\examples\rtos\CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL\blestack\simple_peripheral_oad_offchip

I already have this capability on the CC2642, but since TI delayed the CC2642 launch date from Q3/2018 to Q2/2019, my company needs to down-port our solution to the CC2640.

It is hard enough squizzing 160KB of code to 128KB, and 40KB of RAM to 28 KB, without coping with the RAM/Code cost of the split-image configuration.

I hope you can assist us.

If DECAY set to high as fast decay mode, 1Mohm doesn’t have any effect to decay mode. Is it correct?

CCS/TM4C123GH6PM: CCS "Permission Denied" when attempting to compile/build a project

While I can open/compile/run examples found under C:\ti\tivaware_c_series_2_1_4_178, when I create a new CSS project in a more preferable directory and copy example code into said directory, I cannot compile. Of course, the error is related to the compiler and linker not knowing where to find the libraries.

Of course one solution is to copy all the library files over, but that is not an ideal solution. I can also import them through Eclipse/CCS, but right-clicking the project tab and choosing 'Add Files' requires me to select all of the files individually.

I also tried adding PATH environment variable, TIVA_C (set equal to C:\ti\tivaware_c_series_2_1_4_178) under Project->Properties->Build->GNU Compiler->Directories in the Include Paths field, as well as under Project->Properties->Build->GNU Linker->Libraries in both the Include Paths in both the Libraries and Library search path.

Now, the console error message I get is a bit more perplexing...

So I suppose the files are marked as read-only. It does not appear I can change the permissions, either. Not that I want to, given that they were probably made read-only to prevent accidentally modifying the examples. So I'm out of ideas. Any idea what is going on and how to fix this? (note: I had a simalar issue with the TI compiler.)

CC1101: Capture garage control codes

Hello,

I am trying to copy external radio frequency codes around 433MHz, the problem is that there is no communication with synchronization word, I have tried to configure the MDMCFG2 registry to avoid the word, however I am not able to receive anything, I can only communicate two chips CC1101 with each other with sync word, as soon as I try to receive a garage remote control or any other device I do not receive, maybe I'm not doing the routine correctly, what are the registers that I have to modify? Which algorithm should I follow?

OMAP3530: OMAP3530 - PMIC

I have adesign where an OMAP 3530 is powered from a PMIC TPS65920.

The VMMC output from the PMIC is very low and the part gets overheated. There is no short-circuit on this output.

The rest of power rails to the OMAP are O.K.

Using an oscilloscpe, I observed a periodic signal of about 200uS Low time and a period of about 7mS from the OMAP SYS_NRESWARM to the PMIC NRESWARM input.

In addition, when the system is powered-up, the OMAP UART3 outputs the 40W string to the terminal, but with a slightly lower baud-rate than 115,200 (about 110,000bps).

Please advise.
