I have modified the demo code for a iwr1443 part. My application only requires distance information only, not speed or aoa. One modification involves a small amount of additional processing in the function MmwDemo_dataPathTask. The best place for my additional code is after the first FFT processing. I actually have my few lines of code in the outer loop of the clutter removal section.

Depending upon the event, I may have to pause the execution of the code for 2 seconds. I generate this delay using this code fragment

During this delay, the program faults in the function MmwDemo_frameStartIntHandler at the line

MmwDemo_debugAssert(dpObj->interFrameProcToken == 0);

according to the debugger. I then thought I should perhaps stop the bss program before I start the delay and restart the program after the delay. I tried stopping the program using the two function calls (MmwDemo_notifySensorStop and MmwDemo_waitSensorStopComplete) in function MmwDemoCLISensorStop before the delay occurs. The code appears to hang in the function MmwDemo_waitSensorStopComplete due to an appending event.

My questions are:

1. Is my belief that I have to suspend/stop the execution of the bss program to achieve a 2 second delay or I'm I experiencing some other problem?

2. If I have to suspend or stop the bss program, how should I do this? I would have thought I should be able to stop the program since through the cli, unless the program clears certain events first.

3. If I have to clear events first, how to should this be done so I can perform my processing without any other delay?

THS4631: THS4631-based integrator output operation's large delay

Dear TI expert,

I design a PCB in which a THS4631-based integrator is used. The circuit is as Fig1. The power supply for 4631 is +16V and -12V, feedback capacitor C2 is 20pF, R1 is 100 ohms, which leads to high output voltage slopes.

I step VG1 from -1V to +1. The waveform is as Fig2, where blue waveform is VG1, red one voltage at inverting node and green one is the output voltage Vout. Note that at time point 1, the VG1 steps to 1V, however, after about 60ns, the inverting and output node begins to act at time 2.

I then step VG1 from -1V to +1.5V, and the waveform is as Fig3. Note that the delay is reduced to about 40ns but is still there.

I then try to change R1 in Fig1 to 499ohms, and VG1’s step to +5V. The experiment shows the delay is very small and negligible. The waveform is not given here.

I do the test in TINA and finds no such interval between time 1 and 2 as observed in Fig2,3. In the simulation, - and output node voltage act very quickly.

In theory, when VG1 steps to 1V or 1.5V(large signal), given the inverting node is 0V, THS4631 should immediately rise at a slope of several hundred V/us.

I wonder what may lead to the delay.

Currently customer plans to use HD3SS460 for their USB3-gen1 @ 5Gbps and DP @ 5.4Gbps on their NB. The distance between CPU and the type-c connector is around 5000mils. Now they plan to place HD3SS460 around 4200mils from the CPU, and 800mils from the type-C connector. Please double confirm if this is ok or not, or you suggest any other location on the board.

Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem that prevents MMwave Studio from opening. I'm using DCA1000EVM with IWR1443boost.I have been using it well before.But,yesterday I run RunTime\mmWaveStudio.exe, I got the splash screen briefly, and then this error.

I've followed the setup steps in the user guide. I've ensured that all FTDI drivers are installed.

I also start up it in admin permissions.And,I reinstall all software.

Can anyone help me?

We are currently developing a distance measuring system that uses ultrasonic sensors. For this purpose, we decided to use the PGA460-Q1 with the Transformer-Driven schematic, as described in its datasheet section 8.2 (Application and Implementation – Typical Applications).

Since we are going to use 10 ultrasonic transducers we inserted a multiplexer between the transformer circuit and the transducers in order to reduce the number of PGA's and transformers necessary. In this manner we could select to which transducer the PGA would send and receive signal from.

Done that, we first configured the PGA using the given example “Get-Distance”, as showed in the document “PGA460 Software Development Guide”. In our project, we use an ATmega2560 to communicate with the PGA-460. Using the Serial1 of the Atmega2560 we believe to be possible to use the libraries provided for the Energia in the “Tool & Software” section (www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware).

To test the system, we fixed an ultrasonic transducer in front of a wall, within a distance of around a meter and a half and we performed some measurements. In this first test, we weren`t using the multiplexer.
As results we, got a series of uncoherent measures, which sometimes were constant 7 meters, or sometimes 5,64 meters and other times they were apparently random.
We even tried to customize de “Get-Distance” example, so, using the multiplexer, we could get measurements for all the 10 ultrasonic sensors. Unfortunately, this method showed the same results as the previous test.

What can we do to correct our results?

Now our customer use PCM1808 to convert analog signals to I2S signals, the hardware as below picture. The problem is that the sound is intermittent and severely distorted after DSP is connected, looking at the DOUT pin with a logic annalyzer, 0 data will often appear, customer analysis wether is because DSP and PCM1808 do not share MCK , plese help to confirm. DSP can't provide MCK in customer application, could you help if have solution, Thanks

I have copied a ccs project file and renamed it. The build process creates .bin and .xer4f files that reflect the name of the original project. Besides manually changing the .ccsproject and .cproject files, is there a way to update the desired name associated with the .bin and .xer4f files through the gui?
