Part Number:IWR1443BOOST

I just got a new IWR1443BOOST and connected to +5V power supply and my laptop.

When I opened the device manager, in PORTS I don't see EVMs two com ports.

What could be wrong? The power LED is ON, but board is drawing only 0.01A.

Only SOP0 jumper (Default) is installed.

Thanks

Linux/DLPDLCR2000EVM: BeagleBone with DLP 2000 not showing desktop with i2cset

Part Number:DLPDLCR2000EVM

Tool/software: Linux

I followed many tutorials, especially those of element14 like this one and every time I type in these commands :

debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x0b 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 i
debian@beaglebone:~$ i2cset -y 2 0x1b 0x0c 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x1b i
debian@beaglebone:~$ export DISPLAY=:0

My DLP2000still shows me the default splash screen and not the desktop of my BBB.

I have tried different ways to power on DLP and BBB like :

  • BBB with USB & DLP with DC Jack

  • BBB with DC Jack & DLP with the jumper on J2

I am using Debian Bone 9.3 LXQt image, installed on my micro SD card using Etcher. I can connect to SSH or USB without any problem.

I executed the python install script of DLP folder example and mplayer got successfully installed, but if I run the mPlayerTest.py, I get these errors :

libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate

Thanks for your help.

Hi ,

     My customer need monitor nError pin in other chip and  confuse about nError pin configuration.  Now they are in layout stage and want to know if the pull up resistor is needed.

1. The nError pin is push-pull output not open drain why this pin need pull up resistor?

2. This pin is pull-down after reset so the monitor will misdiagnosis there have an error occure, how to prevent it?

BQ24650: please advise if this device can meet the following requirements

$

Part Number:BQ24650

Hello team,

I have a customer who has the following requirements:

  • The battery chemistry is Li-Ion
  • Input voltage is 5 to 5.5V (USB to the solar panel)
  • We need to supply 12V to the motor, so we need a boost as well. Since we're a little short on space it will be nice to have a charger with a DC2DC inside
  • the current the solar panels provide is 600mA. The USB charger provides 2A. The charger needs to know to work with these voltages and to charge a 10Ah or 20Ah Li-Ion battery pack (18650 in 4 or 6 cell configuration)

the minimum voltage is USB voltage, preferably slightly lower. The maximum voltage should be higher than 5.5V, but other than that is not important.
The charger connects both to a USB charger, and to a solar panel. So if it employs MPPT (maximum solar power) all the better.

can you please advise if this device can be suitable for this kind of application and if you have any other suggestions they are welcome, thanks.

Kind regards,

Shai

MSP430FR2633: Software BSL Invocation with MSP-CAPT-FR2633 over I2C

$

Part Number:MSP430FR2633

Should we able to SW invoke I2C BSL with MSP-CAPT-FR2633?

HW invoke seems to work fine https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/599242

(though how are they connecting to the TST pin on the EVM?  Don't see it going to a jumper.  Only a connector.  Is it OK to tie TST low?)

And using the following SW invoke code, I can see connected with CCS that I am in the BSL

__disable_interrupt(); // disable interrupts ((void (*)())0x1000)(); // jump to BSL

But seem to be stuck in a &USCI_A0__UART_Mode_UCA0IFG test loop.

Do we need to do something special to get to I2C BSL?  Are we stucj in UART BSL?  Do we have to HW invoke to get I2C?

BQ28Z610: Where can I find differences in hardware revisions

Part Number:BQ28Z610

We have been building battery packs in production for over a year now.  Our Production Test System has been recording the hardware revision from the bq28z610 chip using command 0003.  It used to report 06.  The latest reel of parts we received are reporting 02.

Can you tell me where I can find a list of the changes between these revisions?  Or more importantly, will any of these changes make any difference to me on how the part operates?

Thanks

RTOS/CC2640R2F: BLE Central not scanning after few hours/days

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hello,

I am using CC2640R2F controller with BLE Central profile to continuously scan for broadcasted data and send the same to another device via UART. The overall setup works fine for few days, but after a while the BLE Central device stops receiving any data and no device is detected, but the controller doesn't get stuck as the UART communication keeps working with no data present.

Also if a manual pin reset is done the device still doesn't scan the device. It works only after power resetting the system.

Thanks

OPT3002: Washing/cleaning after reflow

Part Number:OPT3002

Hello,

We have designed in the OPT3002 for a battery operated sensor.  After reflow we clean the boards with ultrasonic cleaning and detergent (Detergent 8) and then rinse with isopropanol and let dry.  This process is causing some of the sensors to fail.  My question is what wash procedure is acceptable for OPT3002?  Are there any restrictions I should be aware of?

The datasheet stated washing with isopropanol was acceptable.  Any guidance will be appreciated.

Todd

CC2541: Getting ADC converter going

Part Number:CC2541

Adding ADC function to an existing product that uses  CC2541.  Having a tough go getting the ADC going on P0_7

Confirmed that the output of a differential opamp is putting just over 2 VDC  on P0_7  (pin 12)

Have tried to distill down to the simplest form but haven't gotten it running yet.

Probably missing something.  Have played with it for a while and read as much as I could find here.

Any assistance appreciated.

This code runs very early on boot up:

P0DIR = 0x00;

P1DIR = 0x00;

P2DIR = 0x00;

P0INP = 0x00;

P1INP = 0x00;

P2INP = 0x00;

P0SEL = 0x80; // P0_7 is A/D

P1SEL = 0x00;

P2SEL = 0x00;

APCFG = 0x80;

HalAdcInit();

HalAdcSetReference(HAL_ADC_REF_AVDD);

uint16 reading = HalAdcRead(HAL_ADC_CHANNEL_7, HAL_ADC_RESOLUTION_12);

printf("Reading = %d \r\n", reading);

CCS/TM4C129ENCPDT: Memory Browser clips last digit of 32-Bit Hex, and 16-Bit - C Style

$

Part Number:TM4C129ENCPDT

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Working with CCS 8.0.0.00016 on macOS 10.13.3, using the Memory Browser to trace a Fault, and suddenly the display is clipping the last digit of 32-Bit Hex values, both TI Style and C Style, as well as 16-Bit C Style. I have used this feature before on a couple of computers and there were no display problems like this. I cannot find any setting to affect the font size. Resizing the Memory Browser just changes the number of columns, but the last digit in each column is always clipped. I've tried quitting CCS and restarting; I've tried closing the Memory Browser and adding it again; nothing seems to fix this.

I suppose it's possible that the multiple times I've used the Memory Browser were all under macOS Yosemite, but I feel like I've used the Memory Browser at least once on macOS 10.13.3 without this issue. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? I can view in 64-Bit without clipped digits, but then I have to mentally reverse the order of the 32-bit values.

CCS/CC2650: no example code for CC2650 anymore?

Part Number:CC2650

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I installed CCS v8 and I don't seem to find any example Code for the CC2650. There's a bunch of ressources from this forum and external information pointing out to various Code examples using the CC2650STK - but I don't seem to get those?

all I see in Ressource Explorer is the "TI-RTOS for CC2650 (v2.21.00.06)" and there are (empty) Driver and Kernel examples, but no ones anymore using the sensors of the CC2650?

Do I miss something?

PCM5122: PurePath - PCM5120 ROM - Disable aliased Biquads for Left / Right (1,2 & 3,4 & 7,8)

$

Part Number:PCM5122

Hi,

I'm trying to implement a HPF on the PCM5122 using PurePath and the built in ROM.

The HPF works as expected, but I'd like to only apply the filer to a single channel. On the ROM each right channel Biquad is aliased to the Left channel Biquad, meaning any changes I make apply to both.

Is there any way to apply changes to only a single channel with the PCM5122?

Thanks

What i need to know is what producta do i need to recreate an adaptive led headlight on an older car, the video explains that an F150 ford was retrofitted with a TI 78 led array bulb and then fitted with a matrix manager! I cannot not find this 78 led fitting and the manager thay I would need. Please can someone explain what I would need from start to finish, I understand that id also need a camera to detect oncoming traffic etc

CC2538: AF_DataRequest and Collision detection

Part Number:CC2538

Hello.

I have an endpoint, which sends about 60 packets per second with 72 bytes of data. But my router does not recived all the sent packets.

I counted packets on the endpoint before send and on the router after receive and got the numbers: for every 5000 sent packets I receive only 4900.

I tried to use AF_ACK_REQUEST flag, but the situation became worse: for 5000 packets router receives only 2300.

So I have some questions:

- am I right when I using AF_ACK_REQUEST flag to get more reliable link?
- may it be error in colision avoidance? How the collisiion avoidance in z-stack works?

Used Z-stack version is 3.0.1, hardware is CC2538.
