Part Number:LM5025

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I am trying to simulate LM5025 in p-spice platform to configure the dead time and frequency of active clamp forward converter. But i am facing the following issues-

1.The simulated value of dead time is not matching with the calculated value.(roughly there is a difference of 20-30ns).

2. For higher values (viz. 300ns), the dead time is not equal in the either side of the main switch gate pulse waveform.

Suggest the possible remedies for above mentioned issues.

Part Number:TMS320F28069M

Hi all,

I was recently trying to switch the internal oscillator to external oscillator in HAL_setupClks function. I needed to keep system clock 90Mhz as it is. I refereed few conversation in the forum regarding this. But did not worked.

So far I tried to mimic control suit XtalOscSel function in HAL_setupClks as below,

CLK_enableCrystalOsc(obj->clkHandle);//enable

usDelay(1000);

CLK_disableClkIn(obj->clkHandle);

CLK_setOsc2Src(obj->clkHandle, CLK_Osc2Src_External);

CLK_setOscSrc(obj->clkHandle,CLK_OscSrc_External);

CLK_setLowSpdPreScaler(obj->clkHandle,CLK_LowSpdPreScaler_SysClkOut_by_1);

CLK_setClkOutPreScaler(obj->clkHandle,CLK_ClkOutPreScaler_SysClkOut_by_1);

But did not worked. Is there any example with external oscillator . Please help me to solve this.

Thanks.

TINA/Spice/CSD18534KCS: High side N-Channel MOSFET not turning off / does not swing to 0V

Part Number:CSD18534KCS

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

Below is a gate driving circuit for a high-side N-Channel MOSFET switch using discrete components.

This circuit consist of two seperate stages: a Bootstrap circuit (for boosting the gate voltage) and a transistor Totem pole stage for high speed switching.

This circuit successfully switches the MOSFET to 11.92V (Vcc = 12V) but I cannot manage to get it to discharge all the way down to 0V. The lowest I get it is: 3.94V.

VG1 is a 500kHz Sqaure Wave with amplitude: 2.5V, DC level @ 0V.

Below is the Transient Analysis for this circuit.

Can someone please assist with what the problem might be? It should be noted that I get the same results when switching at 100kHz, 200kHz and 500kHz (as well as frequencies well below 100kHz) so this doesn't seem to be the problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

(Please don't suggest an integrated MOSFET driver IC as this would defeat the purpose :) ).

TMS320F2808: Offset Error Correction

Part Number:TMS320F2808

Hi,

I'm going through details of Offset Error Correction procedure outlined in TMS320x280x DSP Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) Reference Guide, SPRU716D, section 1.9, Offset Error Correction, p.31. This procedure recommends to begin correction process with having about 20 conversions of ADCLO reference. I couldn't find any information in this guide as to how to configure ADC for such a conversion so my question is as follows.

Q: Does 2808 device have any internal resources that would assist in temporarily connecting ADCLO reference to the input of the ADC channel for purposes of this conversion or should I simply treat ADCLO as an external signal and permanently sacrifice one of the available ADC input pins to connect ADCLO reference to the ADC module externally?

Since some other TI devices provide internal dedicated resources for the said purpose, I expected 2808 to include similar functionality as well.

Please clarify this moment for me.

Regards, Michael

ADS5263EVM: Can it sample low frequency input signal from DC to 1 Mhz?

Part Number:ADS5263EVM

Hi

I have read the user guide of this evm board and also the datasheet of  ADS5263.

I found the evm board provide two ac-coupled drivers for ADC.

One is transformer based and another one is an amplifier with a bandpass filter.  Can I bypass the bandpass filter of the driver to get an input band start from DC?

And the datasheet of ADS5263 said it has a Low-Frequency Noise Suppression Mode, can I disable the mode to ensure my low-frequency input signal to be sampled by the ADC?

Thanks!

I can't send a private message to a friend

I am using Internet Explorer 11. I am trying to start a conversation with a friend by clicking on the message button in the right upper corner, and then on "New Message". When I type the friend's name under "Recipients", a box opens on the right and says "No matches were found". If I try to type the message content, the recipient's field gets cleared.

If I go to list of my friends under Friends, therre is no option to send a message, only a link "Connect", which allows me to "Email subsribe to a user" and "Unfriend".

When a friend tries to send a message to me by hovering over my name and selecting "Send a private message", he gets a following error:

So, how do I communicate privately with a customer?

CC3200: Minimum delay between transmitting packets in transceiver mode

Part Number:CC3200

Hi all,

I'm trying to transmit a limited number (<50) of consecutive packets with a delay of 16us between every packet. But, in practice, I get a variable delay between ~100 us and ~300us. Do it's possible to overcome this limitation? I'm using code from transceiver_mode example in SDK.

iSoc = sl_Socket(SL_AF_RF, SL_SOCK_RAW, iChannel);

for(ulIndex = 0 ; ulIndex < iNumberOfPackets ; ulIndex++)
{ lRetVal = sl_Send(iSoc,RawData,sizeof(RawData),\ SL_RAW_RF_TX_PARAMS(iChannel, rate, iTxPowerLevel, PREAMBLE)); }

I read in another thread that continuously sending packets with this device overheats it.

DAC60508M: SPI reserved bits

Part Number:DAC60508M

Hello,

I have a question on the reserved SPI bits(22:20). What happens if these bits are written to? I was trying to possibly share the CS pin with another device(MCP23S08). If I intend to write to the DAC, I can leave the bits 0, but if I try to write to the MCP23S08, I need to set bit 22 high.

Thanks for your help and time,

Andy

ADS8363: ADS8363 MSB is always zero

$

Part Number:ADS8363

I had some initial problems with the ADS8363 which were related to the timing between the Rd pulse and the clock pulse. I changed that timing which kind of solved the problem. The reading tracks very well from 0 to 32,768, but the most significant bit is always zero. In that application 15 bits was adequate, but now I am using the ADS8363 in an application that requires 16 bit accuracy. I am interfacing the ADS8363 with an STM32F407 processor and uses the standard SPI hardware and a separate port to pulse Rd. Using a separate port I have not been able to generate an Rd pulse that meets the requirement of less than 1 clock pulse. My Rd starts about 200nS before the first clock and ends about 10nS before the rise of the second clock pulse, see attached logic analyzer capture. This seems to work very well, but may be what is causing the MSB to always be zero. However, if the input is a few millivolts below zero the MSB then goes high. Could the Rd timing be what is causing my MSB to always be zero?

The ADS8363 is in Mode 1V, the negative inputs of the ADCs are all grounded and the positive inputs are used as single ended inputs. The reference voltage is 2.5V. With an input of +2.5V the reading is 32,676, which seem strange because if the Rd timing was the cause of the problem I would have expected the output to saturate at 32,768 with an input of 1.25V, not 2.5V.(Please visit the site to view this file)

BQ51013B: Is diode recommended between the BQ51013B output and BQ24250 input?

$

Part Number:BQ51013B

Maybe this question is more appropriate for the BQ24250 forum?

Is it a recommended practice to add a schottky diode in circuit between the BQ51013B output and BQ24250 input in a wireless battery charging circuit?  Or, is this extra part not needed?  I am looking at a schottky diode that has approximately 300millivolts Vf at 1A at 25C.  I see that the min Vin for the BQ24250 is 4.35V.  5V - 0.3= 4.7V.  This is a very small margin, so I wonder if not including the diode is ok.

Compiler/CC2640R2F: Characteristic Value Return Function

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hello. I would like to run a check of a characteristic value. I will write into the characteristic value, and if the CV is greater than 0x00, it will execute some code and then be changed back to 0x00. The problem is I have no idea how to reference the characteristic value within the program. I thought about writing a very simple function that returns the value, but that doesn't seem to be working.

uint8_t ReturnLogic()

{

return b_LogicHexVal;
}

Any help getting the value would be appreciated.
