Part Number:LM25117

Hi there,

My customer is asking if we have any solution that can replace LTC3866 and mc34vr500 since these two devices are out of their budget.

The LTC3866 is used to supply 1V/16A for a RISC while the mc34vr500 is used to supply the NXP LS1046 MPU.

Thank you!

TPS65982: TPS65982 BC1.2 timing Question

Part Number:TPS65982

Hi, Team,

We have questions for D+/D- connection. The application is NB. D+/D- signal is connected to CPU through the TPS65982.

Q.1. When does D+/D- signal pass through to the CPU after Type-C cable connection? My understanding is the below sequence.

At first the cable is connected to TPS65982 port. D+/D- signal doesn't pass to the CPU before CDP/DCP detection.
  "Type-C Connector(D+/D-) -- TPS65982 -x- CPU"

The D+/D- signal pass through to the CPU after CDP/DCP detection
  "Type-C Connector(D+/D-) -- TPS65982 --- CPU"

Q.2 Is it possible to disconnect D+/D- signal pass between TPS65982 and CPU after the BC1.2 detection?

Satoshi Yone

Dear All ,

I am working on a Current sense application of and control circuit for a solenoid valve in an Automotive application ,The Control Circuit has a Free wheeling Diode and snubber circuit in parallel to the solenoid coil.

From the data sheet( page 25) I would like to implement the circuit as shown in attached picture and would like to ask a few questions with the hope of some advice or guidence

(1) from simulation of the Solenoid and Freewheeling diode I can expect a Inductive voltage spike of around 16-18V (with out Free wheeling Diode it is above 30V ,what should I use for the protection zener diodes D2/D3

I think 18V ?

(2) Is my implementation of the Diodes correctly place and connected the datasheet recommend resistor values smaller than 10 Ohm will 4.7 Ohm be OK ?

Thank you very much for any guidance it is highly appreciated

With reference to the application note SNLA224 ,"Sending Power Over Coax in DS90UB913A Designs",how the resistor value parallel to the inductor is being chosen.

As we move to higher speeds (higher clock rate) in our design,we could experience data loss and we suspect the Inductor- Resistor combination values.

Please help us in choosing the value of components.

Any design references /notes will be highly helpful.

CCS/CC2640R2F: SPI communication with 2 slave module(AFE4403,ADS1293), but i have a one pin for chip select function of SPI

1)I am trying to do SPI communication with 2 slave module(AFE4403,ADS1293), and as i know, I need 2 chip select(CS) pin to handle them.

But in the CC2640R2_Launchpad source code, just one pin for CS function of SPI is allocated.

How can i add one more CS pin for SPI0 communcation?

2)I need further information for interrupt handling.

is there any information or tutorial or source code example about handling 2 slave module with SPI communcation using CC2640R2F??

2)How can I transmit the data I acquired from CC2640R2F to smart phone??

How can i get the tutorial or any information about that??

Thank you

Linux/AM5718: Is there any other way to send a message from CortexA15/Linux to C66/TI-RTOS other than IPC-MessageQ?

$

Part Number:AM5718

Tool/software: Linux

Hello!

We just tried the MessageQ Linux/TI-RTOS communication example and got the results like ~100usecs per message

In our usage scenario, DSP should be able to process relatively small chunks of data (float arrays sized about 128-256 items) in parallel with a cortex A15 core that receives and prepares data. And in that case we are getting the ARM->DSP data delivery time about x100  of the DSP processing time itself (for one data chunk).

Is there any other way to deliver data from ARM to DSP and start DSP processing that will take significantly lower time overhead?

I believe we can use shared memory to allocate the data exchange buffer, but we need to let the DSP know that it should start processing the new data

Thanks for your help!

Hi guys,

I'm doing a layout with the TS3USB221 where life becomes a lot easier if I can swap the D+ and D- pins on both the two inputs and the output. Is there any reason the part should work less well when doing that?

Thanks,

CC2640R2F: Matching Network/Balun --> 0603 instead of 0402

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Hello,

I'm working on a project that involves a custom board with the CC2640 and Bluetooth Connection.
For the matching network/balun I will refer as close as possible to the reference designs offered. Since I will handsolder the parts I would prefer using capacitors/resistors... in a 0603 housing instead of a 0402.
Would that in any way effect the Bluetooth Connection/matching network, so the device won't operate as expected?

Thank you for clarification, Alex

Hi,

I try to install CCS 7.4.0.00015( taken from here http://www.ti.com/tool/ccstudio-c2000  processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Download_CCS).

I encounter the following error. "CCS_ERROR: Installer failed to install jre correctly.", and I don't know the reason. I found similar threads where it was specified to have temporary directory path without spaces or special characters. But this is not my case.

I attached a zip file with some print screens and log files. (Please visit the site to view this file)

Please assist.

TAS6424Q1EVM: Flash ROM code refresh

Part Number:TAS6424Q1EVM

Hello,

Our TAS6424-Q1 EVM suddenly failed to make connection to TAS6424 on GUI.

PC to USB interface itself is fine, because DFUUSB is correctly recognized on PC control panel.

I expect flash ROM data for TAS1020 is broken, how can we refresh ROM code? Is there any manual document?

We have seen similar problem on AIC3xxxx EVM and TAS56xx PPCMB which employ TAS1020 with flash ROM. Then fix issue by refreshing ROM code.

Hello there,

My application need a battery management charger IC.
Take a look the design layout,

1. A micro USB connector from smart phone to PC or power adapter will be use.
2. From this USB connector VBUS will be supply power to my external system through the battery charging IC.
3. This IC will manage the 5V , 2A power from adapter but, in quick charging mode, 9V, 2A power should be block by the management IC.

Kindly suggest a circuit and IC application.

AM4372: about AM437x's boot mode.

Part Number:AM4372

Hi all,

I'd like to know about AM437x's boot mode.

My customer has selected the following boot mode.

Then, the application program is stored in the FLASH connected to the QSPI.

When power is input to the board in this state, it starts normally with QSPI boot.

However, when USB0 is connected in this state, QSPI boot will not be done.

Is this correct as the behavior of the device?

When the device is in this mode, it will boot with QSPI --> USB1 --> MMC0 --> USB0,

I think that QSPI boot will be done even if my customer connected USB0.

Best regards,
Sasaki

Hello guys!

I have 2 questions related to dlp 2000 evm and its optical engine:

1. Is it possible to replace/tune/modify dlp2000evm optical engine to have throw ratio ~ 8?

I need to have screen width ~ 5 cm from distance ~ 40 cm.

2. Are there any ready to buy optical engines with auto/motorized focus for this evm or 3010 evm?

3. Could you please provide some links/contact information about companies/engineers with whom we can talk about custom optical engine development?

Thank you.
