RTOS/AM3357: can't boot a custom development board via SD card

Part Number:AM3357

Tool/software:TI-RTOS

Dear TI-RTOS support team,

I had built an EtherCAT slave application, and I have to boot our AM3357 custom development board, and run the EtherCAT slave application.

I follow the steps from Processor SDK RTOS BOOT AM335x/AM437x, generated and copied MLO and app file to SD card.

I tried to boot via SD card, but nothing happened, and nothing showed up on the UART terminal.

It seems that the MLO file is not loaded.

I'm wondering that is it right to boot the board only with these two files MLO and app ?

or it also need u-boot.img and uEnv to boot like linux kernel ?

Regards,

Eric

TMS320F28066: ADC sampling result jumping occasionally

Part Number:TMS320F28066

Hi Champs,

My customer is designing their general inverter using F28066. During their testing, they found some of machine(30%) would report over current occasionally. After debugging F28066, they found the ADC result would be jumping occasionally. For example, most of time the abnormal machine works well because stable F28034’s data sampling result. But it also possible that the ADC result would be jumping which will cause general inverter reporting over current error. The initialization code is as follows, and ADC is triggered by PWM period event.

During our testing, they found if we set the ADC sample window ACQPS to the value other than (8,9,10), the sample result will be good.

And also, if they change the PWM carrier frequency, the failure rate will decrease obviously.

Do you hear such feedback from other customer? Or could be kindly help to find the root cause?

Thanks.

BR,

Young

TPS7A6401-Q1: The abnormal waveform of nRST pin

Part Number:TPS7A6401-Q1

Hi,

Our customer used TPS7A6401-Q1 to convert 12V to 5V/300mA, but they encountered problems. When nWD_EN and WD pin keep low level, the waveform of nRST pin should be a low reset level periodically. However, actually,  the time of low level is very short, and then ramp up slowly. So, what reason may result in the abnormal waveform of nRST pin? If this waveform apply to the RST pin of MCU, can MCU reset normally? Thanks!

Note: The schematic as same as that of TPS7A6350, because it is pin to pin with TPS7A6401, and FB pin has connect correctly. The waveform of nRST pin as picture 2.

CC2640R2F: SPP Server does not send a supported services response to SPP Client

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Hello I'm trying to run a SPP Server and a SPP Client on two boards. My SPP Client requests the supported Services on SPP Server side. I'm not sure but it seems that the SPP Server does not send any supported services to the SPP Client. Is there a way to check whether the SPP Client sends a response of the supported services to the SPP Client?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have two zigbee modules from Ghostyu Electronics ZG-M1E model. I did connect that module to CC Debugger & program Z-Stack 3.0.1 examples on its CC2530 chip with IAR & Smart Flash Programmer.

I have no smartRF05 board or Standard EM board and i have two questions:

1- I want to implant a push bottom for Sample Switch example and a LED for Sample Light Example ( One of them for coordinator and other one for router). which part of code must change? which pin can i connect push bottom & LED?

2- Because i dont have Dev Kit and LCD, I want to delete LCD part of code and Implant serial communication for my apps. Please help me for this.

TLV320AIC3101: about volume control

Part Number:TLV320AIC3101

Hello

My customer is evaluating head phone output zipper noise of volume change

at their final set( Pre Production) using TLV320AIC3101.

According to customer, Volume control using P0 R47, P0 R64 has zipper noise, due to

they set HPLout/HPRout Level control=6dB fixed ( zipper noise has amplified ).

So, Customer intend to use HPLout/HPRout on the fly if total volume is greater than 0dB.

That is to say,

 when total volume is 0dB, Volume control using P0 R47, P0 R64 is 0dB and HPLout/HPRout Level control=0dB.

 When total volume is -6dB, Volume control using P0 R47, P0 R64 is -6dB and HPLout/HPRout Level control=0dB.

 When total volume is +3dB, Volume control using P0 R47, P0 R64 is 0 dB and HPLout/HPRout Level control=3dB.

 When total volume is +6dB, Volume control using P0 R47, P0 R64 is 0 dB and HPLout/HPRout Level control=6dB.

According to customer, this action ( *CASE-B Corrective action*) had better, and no extra problem found .

Question

In the TLV320AIC3101 data sheet page 33, HPLout/HPRout Level control is not recommended to use as volume control on the fly as following ====.

However, customer's usage as CASE-B : use HPLout/HPRout Level Control is problem ?

Customer says it seems no problem using HPLout/HPRout Level control on the fly  and its better than CASE-A...

Would you please give your opinion?

Customer hope to have your approvement.

d/s page 33

Note that this output level control is not intended to be used as a standard output volume control. It is expected to be used only sparingly for level setting,

that is, adjustment of the fullscale output range of the device.

Part Number:SIMPLELINK-CC2640R2-SDK

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear Sirs,

I have some questions about CC2640. Could you please help me?

1. Is CC2640 blank chip enable bootloader backdoor by default?

2. Check the swcu117g.pdf specification. UART0 can be configured for bootloader via UART mode.

Can we configure bootloader backdoor for UART0 runtime? We need to switch UART0 for other purpose. But I saw some definition in the code, ccfg.c; SET_CCFG_BL_CONFIG_BOOTLOADER_ENABLE, SET_CCFG_BL_CONFIG_BL_LEVEL, SET_CCFG_BL_CONFIG_BL_PIN_NUMBER, SET_CCFG_BL_CONFIG_BL_ENABLE. I am so confused if we

It seems we can not disable and enable bootloader backdoor runtime. Please help me?

Your faithfully,

Thanh

Part Number:LM4950

Hi

I am using LM4950 Audio Amplifier whcih is connected to 1:10 transformer which then is connected to the ultrasonic transducer.

When I play an audio file (raised cosine chirp signal), the audio amplifiers generates some sound (like clicking).  I have checked the signal at the output of the transformer and it looks fine but not sure why the amplifier makes this sound. The sound goes away when I disconnect the output of the audio amplifier.

Any idea?

Thanks

RTOS/AM5728: Problem migrating from SysLink to IPC

$

Part Number:AM5728

Tool/software:TI-RTOS

Hi,

Can anybody help me to migrate  codes using syslink to IPC3.x?

#include <ti/ipc/Std.h> /* must be first */
#include <xdc/runtime/IHeap.h>
#include <xdc/runtime/Memory.h>

//#include <ti/syslink/IpcHost.h>
//#include <ti/syslink/SysLink.h>
#include <ti/ipc/MultiProc.h>
//#include <ti/syslink/utils/Memory.h>
#include <ti/ipc/Notify.h>
#include <ti/ipc/SharedRegion.h>

      I had commented  syslink  header files ,and   add  #include <xdc/runtime/IHeap.h> , #include <xdc/runtime/Memory.h> for using SharedRegion_getHeap()  function.However , compiler throws out error:

/home/pascal/ti-processor-sdk-rtos-am57xx-evm-03.01.00.06/xdctools_3_32_00_06_core/packages/xdc/std.h:97: error: #error xdc_target_types__ must be defined to name a target-specific header containing definitions of xdc_Int8, xdc_Int16, ...
#error xdc_target_types__ must be defined to name a target-specific header containing definitions of xdc_Int8, xdc_Int16, ...
^

Do I need to set defines or write a cfg file for xdctool to use ?  Or  replace SharedRegion  call by CMEM ?  I hope  the code is less modified and not  to add  device's configuration in app's makefile.

Hi

My customer has question.Please Cooperate me.

Voltage was generated in VDD when CSD95378B was operated under the following conditions.

VIN=12V

EN=0V

VDD=OPEN

When measuring the voltage of VDD pin, the voltage of about 500 mV was confirmed.

Is this a specification?
