Dear Champs,
My customer will implement RS422 on PRU of AM4376 and requested a guide for it.
I found there is PRU-ICSS UART firmware in the TI-RTOS processor SDK and will suggest to refer it.
Can RS422 be implemented on PRU-UART of AM4376 and any changes are not required, right?
But, I'm not sure if it can be test on AM4376IDK board as there is only AM335x bbb board mentioned as supported EVM.
I found there are 'AM437X_PROFI_TXD' and 'AM437x_PROFI_RXD' pins in the EXP0 connector in the AM437x IDK and am wondering if PRU-ICSS UART firmware can be tested on IDK using these pins.
Could you please let me know if PRU-UART can be tested on AM437x IDK using processor RTOS SDK?
Thanks and Best Regards,
SI.

Hi ,
I am trying to imitate and send the configuration of the SRR_demo through CLI port (UART) for it to work. Don't want the code to take the configuration from srr_config_consts.h. Please let me know where and how to invoke the CLI and bypass the calling of header files.

Hi,
Do we have some material showing the EMI performance of AMC1100? I expect it to have very low EMI emissions and maybe measurements are available.
Thanks,

Part Number: TPS54308
Hi TI:
I am now using TPS54308 in a fly-buck circuit. The duty is about 47%. EN is floating & nearly no load. When I connect a differential probe to EN & GND, the SW will sometimes switching and sometimes no switching. If I use passive probe, the switching is normal. Do you know the reason?
Also, when I connect differential probe to FB & GND, the duty becomes sometimes big and sometimes small. If I use passive probe , the switching is normal.Do you know the reason?

Hello,
I have a question how far the shunt resistor can be placed?
For example is it possible to have IC placed on a PCB and shunt resistor connected to the motor and measurement going to be taken using cables (approximately 0.5m long), which will be connected to the PCB.

Hey,
I am using TM4C1294 Evaluation board and MSP430F5529 Experimental board. I am using TM4C as master and MSP430 as slave
In TM4C : with example SPI loopback code
Using SSI2, PORTD, pins PD0,PD1,PD2 and PD3, Legacy SPI with mode 0.
In MSP430: with MSP430F55xx_usci_spi_standard_slave example code.
I am using PORT4 with pins 4.1(MOSI),4.2(MISO),4.3(CLK). with UCB1.
When executing the TM4C code I am able to see the data in MOSI line through oscilloscope. But the MSP430 code hasn't received any data from the TM4C. As per my understanding the MSP430 should have received an interrupt and it should send back the received data. But there is no response from MSP430.
It would be so helpful if you can solve this
Thanks and regards,
Srinivasan

Hi together!
I run the MSP430 with XT2=24MHz, also MCLK runs from that clock; SMCLK requires a different timing, hence it cannot be used as ADC12-clock.
Because of a tight timing I run ADC12 directly from MCLK with repeated-sequence-of-channels which then provides a constant loop time.
After calculations following my sampling I would like to put the CPU into LPM1 to save power.
Is it possible to operate the device in such a way or does setting LPM1 / LPM2 causes the MCLK and then ADC12 clock to stop? Or in the reverse way: Does it cause the MCU to remain active?

Hi Team,
It seems that DDR pins simulation model isn't contained in the following IBIS model provided in TI.com.
(I can not find pkg model and IO characteristics in the model)
http://www.ti.com/jp/lit/mo/sprm345/sprm345.ibs
Could you share IBIS model for DDR pins?
My customer want to get it ASSP for simulation prior to art work.

Hi Team,
Is UCC28019A suitable for 3Kwatts Application? if not, what are the limitations? Since DS says it suitable for 100Watts to 2KWatts.
thanks a lot,

Part Number: TPS65218D0
Hi,
We have changed TPS65218B1RSLT to TPS65218D0RSLT in our prototype PCB. Below is the screenshot of the Schematic.
We are not able see the voltage at output of DCDC5/DCDC6 and its related peripherals when its connected to coil cell only mode. The same code when put in EVM ( mounted with TPS65218B1RSLT ) the Coil cell's output peripherals works fine.
Should there be any change in Hardware or the software to get it run in coin cell mode for TPS65218D0RSLT ?. Please suggest.
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm trying to use predefined services of BLE and I've made it pretty far. But one problem that I'm running into is sending more than 8 bits of data at a time. The simple BLE peripheral example provided can only send 8 bits at a time. I've dug fairly deep into how they send data, and I hit that 8 bit wall every time. Is this a restriction to all services or only the examples?
So in short, is there an easy way to send more data that I am missing?
Thanks in advance!
Part Number: UCD90320
Hi,
I want to clear my configuration of the UCD90320 device, but there is no button in the Fusion tools. I use the Fusion Digital power designer 7.1.1, latest release.
How do I clear my configuration?
I also use the UCD9090A, this device I can clear the configuration, through Tools->Clear configuration. But the UCD90320 does not have this button!
Kind regards,
Ben
Part Number: LM5155
Hello
I recently have been in contact with you regarding simulation problems when using LM3478 in SEPIC topology. However, I wanted to use the LM5155 for my design and you gave me the transient model for it to simulate the circuit.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/p/855129/3184699?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=lm3478%20simulation#3184699
In the meantime I made an evaluation board to test the SEPIC circuitry with LM5155. I did the calculations/dimensioning according to AN-1484.
Requirements are:
Vin = 5..20V, Vout=12V, Ioutmax=5A
Calculations gave me:
L1=L2=700nH (coupled) (used SRF1280A-R47Y)
You can see the other components used in the schematics below. I encountered several problems which I’d like to share and also hope for some tips to improve the circuitry. Can you see any major dimensioning errors?
Problems:
When drawing Iout=1A (far from the maximum), the Mosfet (type BSC022N04LSATMA1) already heats up to 85°C in appr. 2min. The power dissipation in the Mosfet is far too high. According to my calculations with Iout=1A, the Mosfet power dissipation should be 226mW. However, 226mW should not lead to such heating of the component, hence I assume the switching losses to be higher than expected. I’m aware, that the Mosfet on my board is not mounted on a 6cm^2 copper square as cooling area (as stated in the Mosfet datasheet to have RthJAmax=50K/W).
Of course lowering the switching frequency could be an option, however I’m interested in understanding the differences between the calculations vs. evaluation board.
Measuring the gate voltage of the Mosfet, I observe more or less steep edges, but gate ringing exists. Gate ringing usually exists due to parasitics along the gate loop. However, the gate loop in my layout is quite small, the connection from the converter to the gate also. Do you have an idea where this gate ringing comes from? I also added my layout below.
Inserting a gate resistor to damp the ringing did not help, since it also slows down the rise of the gate voltage (and the longer switching time led to even more power dissipation in the Mosfet).
Do you have an idea where this gate ringing comes from and how to deal with it?
I also measured the drain voltage of the Mosfet (CH2) and the voltage across the sense resistor (R10). I assume the oscillations/noise to come from the grate ringing.
Simulation of the circuit did not show such behaviour and worked quite well. Please find the circuit also below.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Best regards,
Martin

What alternatives would Texas Instruments have to the IMX 8M Nano?
The project that I am working on is an LCD (up to 7") and I would need LVDS and RGB interfaces for the display. The IMX has only a MIPI interface... What would be the closest alternative to look at from the TI portfolio?

Hi Team,
According to the datasheet, Figure 2-6, TMS320DM6441 has 2 variation depending on core voltage and frequency. But we can find only one option in TI.com, which doesn't have 405 and 513 suffix following its part number.
Which version will we get if we order TMS320DM6441AZWT on TI.com?
And could you tell me how to identify them?
