CC2640R2F: CC2640R2F signals of TMS and TCK. Debug failed.

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Hi everyone,

    After reading the document recommended by TI's engineer, I changed my PCB layout. Unfortunately, I found the old problem is still there.

    My board can be recognized by the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, and I can flash the image successfully. BUT I think my board dosen't  work, because I just let it light on the LED linked to Pin-20(which is the IOID_7).

    I ran the DEBUG on the IAR, and I got the Error-2134 @0x0 Unable to control the device execution state. I search this error, the answer is that my board got a wrong connection.

    I checked my PCB and schematic many times, however I can't find where the issue is. After supplying the 3.3V, the output of all the GPIO is 0.2-0.3V. The DCDC_SW is 1.67. The DCOUPL is 1.28V.

    I check the signal on TMS and TCK with oscilloscope, and I got this:

    I also checked the signal of the 32.768KHz crystal oscillator, the frequency is not right. So I post my PCB layout and schematic here, hoping someone could help me find where the issue is.

PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X: Starterware build problem

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X

Hi,

I'm trying to build a starterware project for basic peripherals [say GPIO,UART,etc.,] & test it initially in EVM AM 4372.

Reason why I didnt choose SDK RTOS is, my plan is to use similar approach to our custom board [with AM4372] later.

But I couldnt find a way to build the starter ware example code & flash it to the board. [make files are incomplete & CCS build files are missing].

Moreover, the starter ware folder of pdk_am437x_1_0_15 contains more build files of AM335x. dont know why.

It will be great if I could get some input on how to proceed with this starter ware build. Thanks in advance.

CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC1350: How to edit messages in the Nodes such that the message appears in the Concentrator

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1350

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi guys,

I am running the RfWsnConcentrator and RfWsnNodes example and managed to setup successfully. I am really bad with C programming and am pretty lost with the codes. I am using Putty to display the information and currently the concentrator only show (Nodes, the value, sw and Rssi).

How can i change the code in a way it receives word messages instead? I have 3 launchpad, 2 being nodes and will be placed on different levels of a building and i intend to come up with a formula based on the Rssi to give me information on which level the nodes are at. Would appreciate the help!

Cheers guys!

TPS65721: How to detect Battery Low?

$

Part Number: TPS65721

Hi,

I would like to detect battery low level event. I am using a 3.7V rechargeable coin battery. The datasheet says "If the voltage on the BAT pin remains above VLOWV, it indicates that the battery is still connected, but has discharged". Moreover the event that signals battery low level is given by internal battery voltage comparator (section 8.3.10.3 of datasheet), but it works for Li-primary battery (CH_EN=0), not for rechargeable batteries.

So how can I detect a battery low level?

Thank you!

WEBENCH® Tools/LM5170-Q1: LM5170-Q1: LM5170 support boost mode while Vin is equal to Vo

Part Number: LM5170-Q1

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi

We got the EVM board of LM5170 (SNVSAQ6 48V to 12V).

Modified items: 1) LM5170 in boost mode with CV feedback circuit. 2) Inductor change to 15uH. 3) Mosfet (HQ and LQ) change to 100Vds rating.

Test condition: 1.5A

Q1: If Vin is equal to Vo, is there any concern we need know?

Q2: It is normal operating (The Gate of HQ/LQ mosfet are swtiching) with Vin 35V, the Vout keep 48V. We want to test the Vin rise to 48V. We found the Gate of HQ is off while Vin=41V. It seems be diode emulation mode. Is it right for LM5170?

We didn't try it for heavy load due to we don't want get damaged EVM. Maybe it is not easy because there are dual phase with 2pcs high side mosfet on EVM. It means the boost current through 4pcs body diodes.

I knew the better solution should be buck-boost converter. I need know what kind limitation is for LM5170 if Vin is equal to Vo.

Appreciated for your reply.

Hi,

When will SysConfig support 433Mhz in the TI 15.4 Stack?

What's the best work around for now?

My goal is to use the DMM with a Custom RF Stack as well as the TI 15.4 Stack for OAD on 433Mhz. Is this achievable using the current syscfg?

Hi,

I use DS90UB947-Q1 as I2C master and DS90UB928Q-Q1 as I2C slave. They communicate with each other through I2C. When the master sends a command to the slave, it receives ACK signal with 400us delays. I suppose that the delay is so long. Please see the attachment for details. My questions are:

1. What reason is for the long delay?

2. How to resolve this issue?

Hello,

For my experiment I am using switching frequency is 50KHz and ADC sampling frequency should be 4 or 5 times larger than switching frequency. i want to design RC bucket circuit and ACQPS for 200KHZ sampling frequency. i have selected CS 2nF. is it right for 200KHZ sampling frequency? Do is need to increase or decrease CS ? I am not sure if i can increase or decrease CS as sampling frequency goes higher.  TI recommends that CS should be at least 10 or 20 times larger than CH. and how can i select RS too? I did the calculation for ACQPS is it right  or not ? I still don't understand relationship between ADC sampling and charge circuit bucket circuit

CC2640: Porting from BLE Stack 2.1.0 to 2.2.3

Part Number: CC2640

After discovering that the BLE Stack 2.1.0 has an issue which causes the advertisement to stop after 1+ hours, which also has been effecting us, we have decided to move to the new BLE Stack v2.2.3.

So I was hoping a path could be shown as to how to port it as the difference in the file structures is huge which is making it difficult to understand what to place where.

Hoping to hear soon!

Previously, I was  using this to send number.

sendrptcmd.numAttr = 1;
sendrptcmd.attrList[0].attrID = ATTRID_VERSION;
sendrptcmd.attrList[0].dataType = ZCL_DATATYPE_UINT8;
sendrptcmd.attrList[0].attrData = (uint8 *)&data;

zcl_SendReportCmd(SAMPLESW_ENDPOINT, &zclSampleSwitch_DstAddr , ZCL_CLUSTER_ID_GEN_DEVICE_TEMP_CONFIG, &sendrptcmd, ZCL_FRAME_SERVER_CLIENT_DIR, 1, Rsp.zclFrameCounter);

If, I want to use string, and use ZCL_DATATYPE_CHAR_STR. Would it work?

TPS3840: TPS3840 Vrail_max

Part Number: TPS3840

Hi,team

I am looking for an IC to monitor a 24V power supply.

I have two questions.

Q1.

I'm considering TPS3840, but I'd like to ask a question about Equation (8) in the datasheet
Vrail_max = 10 × (10,000 ÷ (10,500 + 10,000)) = 20.5V
Equation 8 is written as above, but isn't “10 ×” correct instead of “10 ÷”?

Q2.

If there is another IC suitable for 24V power supply monitoring, please introduce it.
It is necessary to have OD output and CT terminal.
It is more desirable to use an IC that can adjust the monitoring voltage by dividing the resistance.

thanks.

TPS1H200A-Q1: Current limit delay time, tdl1 and tdl2

Part Number: TPS1H200A-Q1

Hello

I want to confirm current limit specification of TPS1H200A.
The datasheet says that when a current limit is reached, the output current holds at the setting current, but latches off after a preset DELAY time (tdl1+ tdl2).
Are these tdl1 and tdl2 just delay to Latch off of extend time of tCL(deg)?

I mean if current limit condition is recovered during these tdl1 and tdl2 time, does Latch Off occur because these are just delay time?

I am trying to flash code on to two separate TMS320F280045 on a single custom board using the XDS110.

The two Microcontrollers are connected with a single 2-wire cJTAG interface.

However, I'm always getting the following errors when I'm trying to connect with the Targets:

IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1265 @ 0x0) Device ID is not recognized or is not supported by driver. Confirm device and debug probe configuration is correct, or update device driver. (Emulation package 7.0.188.0)
IcePick_C_1: Error connecting to the target: (Error -2131 @ 0x0) Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 7.0.188.0)

What am I doing wrong?

(It's my first time trying to debug such a constellation with a single debugger.)

Thanks for your Support!
