BQ34Z100-G1: About the connection with the lithium-ion battery

Hi Team,

Please help me answer the follow question from my customer, thank you so much.

The connector of the lithium ion battery (3 cells) that we plan to use is planned to have 3 terminals (thermistor, battery positive, battery negative).
Can we use BQ34Z100-G1 in this application?
If we can, how should we connect the thermistor terminal with BQ34Z100-G1?
We would be grateful for any simplified schematic you can give us.

My customer would like know the efficiency with below conditions:

VIN = 10~16V

Vout = 24V

Iout = 0~6A

Ambient temperature = 75C

Two phases operation

I tried Webench but I can't generate two phases condition.

Hello team,

I was wondering if it is possible to put all the channels in parallel? I am not able to access the single LED chains of my LCD..

Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy between the typical application (where 50mA is configured per channel) and the electrical characteristics (Ifb max  40mA). Does this mean 40mA is the max current?

CC1352P: How can a 15.4 device switch between FH networks?

Hello,

I have a working application using the TI 15.4 stack in frequency hopping mode with 1 device and 1 coordinator. Now the device shall be able to disconnect and reconnect to another network (again, FH), but I obviously missed something, because the stack can only connect to the network it connected to the first time.

Here are the steps I am executing right now if the device needs to switch:

- Send a disassociate request using ApiMac_mlmeDisassociateReq()

- Setting ApiMac_extAddr to new device's address

- Updating the PAN ID using ApiMac_updatePanId()

- Updating the coordinator's address in the device using ApiMac_mlmeSetReqArray(ApiMac_attribute_coordExtendedAddress, ...)

- Updating the parent in the device using ApiMac_mlmeSetFhReqArray(ApiMac_FHAttribute_trackParentEUI, ...)

and then starting the usual connect procedure.

Do you have some advice for me?

WL1835MOD: LMP KNOB(key negotiation of bluetooth) mechanism as per errata 11838 for WL18xx is handled in controller or Host state machine is responsible?

BT-SP v4.4 release notes says:

This service pack release updates default value of minimum LMP encryption key size to 7 octets to comply with the Bluetooth Expedited Errata Correction 11838. The minimum LMP encryption key size was set to 5 octets by default in older releases.

However Errata 11838 requires:

  1.  Master sends Lsug = Lmax.
  2. If Lsug = Lmax , slave shall respond with LMP_accepted and Lsug should be used as key size.
  3. If Lsug,m > Lmax,s, the slave shall send back an LMP_encryption_key_size_req PDU including the slave’s suggested key size Lsug,s = Lmax,s
  4. And other such scenarios.

So these set of message sequences for key size consensus btw master and slave is part of controller or one should handle it in Host state machine?

Hi dear supporting team,

for LMK04821 OSC OUT, Customer set it as two LVCMOS output for 61.44M. when they want to power down one of it and set 0x138 reg to 0x0A or 0x0B, the output keep the same(5dBm with probe),  only if set it to 0x00 or  0x0E, then it could be shut off.  

and for LMK04826, if set it to 0x0A or 0x0B, the output will be decreased by around 30dB, but still has -27dBm output.(is it due to crosstalk?)

so double check with you:

1. is the phenomenon normal?

2. for 04821, for shut down the output, only method is shut off both pins? (0x00 or 0x0e)

Hi Team,

Customers require SOC and LCD supply power separately and LCD to detect backlight separately.

  • Does DS90UB928Q-Q1 support low power mode? Start LCD power supply and MCU through DS90UB928 to work? From the datasheet of DS90UB928, we can see that Power Down mode and Sleep mode are supported. Can PowerDown mode (which does not support LCD display at this time) receive commands sent by DS90UB925?
  • DS90UB928 can accept DS90UB925 command in SLEEP mode, but does not support display. How much current does DS90UB928 work in SLEEP mode?DS90UB928 direct mode sends PWM wave to control LCD backlight brightness.

In my MSP430F413 design, Pin 47 (P16/CA0) is connected to a sensor. When the

sensor is not connected. The program goes into a loop :

&CACTL2 always shows 000Dh (0000 1101). Unable to change to 000Ch.

CAOUT is : #define CAOUT               (0x01)

Only when sensor is connected, &CACTL2  change to 000Ch.

 

Is there any instruction that I can add in such that it'll could come out of the loop when no sensor

is connected.

The XDS110, in fact, does not support RTCK nor adaptive clocking. The emulation team confirmed that this pin is really idle – i.e., there is no provision for its functionality in the XDS110 firmware.

 


If XDS110 doesn't support RTCK, do we need to short TCK & RTCK ?

How to map ttyS0 to ttyO0, then no need to modify application code.

Or how to change the name of ttyS0 to ttyO0?

Hi,

We use an external patch-type antenna with a gain of 7 dBi (larger than TI recommended) for Bluetooth WiFi on the WL1835. So we lose the certification CE/FCC.
In the RF Exposure Evaluation Report, TI uses an antenna with a max gain of 3.2 dBi. I would like to know if we can keep the certification of IT by having a gain lower than 3 dBi thanks to the losses, radiations, mismatches, radome, plastic lid etc.

It would be like having a lower or equal EIRP than TI and therefore keeping the certification ?

Good day. 

Need your assistance with regards to the following inquiries from the customer regarding LMK01020:

  1. Specifications for the clock input signal:
    1.1 Does it has to be an AC signal?
    1.2 Does it have to be something like LVDS?
    1.3 They wish to supply a very clean clock at 41MHz, that is a sinewave. Do they have to convert to LVDS. or something before connecting to LMK01020?
    1.4 The clock signal level is spec'ed in dBm, which suggests a sinewave. However it looks like
    they need a square wave to follow slew rate spec, so dBm (power) makes no sense because the power is divided into harmonics. What is the voltage level if they have a square wave clock?
  2. The lowest clock freq allowed is 1MHz. If it is a sinewave, then they violate the minimum slew rate spec. What happens if we violate the minimum slew rate spec?
  3. Do you have suggestion on how to supply an external sinewave to LMK01020? They are considering LTC6957-1 or 2. Is there an appropriate equivalent TI part suitable for this function? They are going to use this to convert sinewave to square wave.

i followed this example (example_sci_uart_9600.c) and it works perfectly to transmit the arrays of data.

i am trying to receive array of 50 bytes through UART. 

any help please how to do that . and if i need to enable RX interrupt in SCI2. and enable CHANNEL 13 in VIM ?
