Part Number: LMK04616

(Please visit the site to view this file)

In the LMK04616 datasheet is stated that the minimal input swing of the CLKInx must be 400mV. The LVDS standard is 350mV. How does that work with the LMK04616 part?

According the datasheet the LMK04616 must be able to accept LVDS (Figure 19 datasheet).

Hey Everyone,

I am a newbie to sine wave generation and my final target is to run a Induction motor using F28027 ,for which i tried to find several document  and came to know if i am not wrong "There are two way by which i can generate the sine wave 1)Using PWM  2) Using Sgen Library offered by Ti. With a perspective to try both module I started reading "spna217" document first but I am not able to get the HTU data flow and how to configure it , if anyone can help it will be really helpful.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

This driver is not compatible with multi chipselect, ie. it can manage only one NAND flash component connected to one chipselect.

Our custom design has two NAND flash components connected respectively to EMIF16 CS0 and CS1 chipselects.

Is there somewhere a version of this driver which could manage this configuration ?

Thanks for your answers.

DS90UB953A-Q1: SerDes use POC and STP question

Part Number: DS90UB953A-Q1

Dear Sir.

Please help me to confirm that TI's SerDes use POC and STP. We have some question on following?
1. What is the distance between POC and STP guarantee max?
2. If the customer has a demand of more than 20 meters, does TI have the recommended reinforcement components, such as the series of comparison tables to ensure that this condition can be achieved.
3. It is still recommended to set those conditions, such as low speed Mode, to reach 20 meters guarantee?

BQ40Z60: What limits current consumption from AC adapter?

Part Number: BQ40Z60

I have 4S battery, 24V PSU as source and step up to 24V as load.

Only PSU connected - battery is charging, current consumption from PSU is about 0.5 A @ 24V, current to battery is about 0.6 A @ 15V.

Only load connected - battery is discharging, current consumption from battery is about 1.1 A @ 14.2 V.

Load and PSU connected - current consumption from PSU is about 0.5 A, current consumption from battery is 0.3 A @ 14.5V.

Why is bq40z60 draining battery instead of ac adapter?

Thank you.

THS3121: Short Circuit Protection

Part Number: THS3121

I'm trying to verify whether or not there is internal short circuit protection on the output of this opamp. We're using it for a pulse per second (20us PW) but there are requirements for short circuit protection.

Currently, we're just limiting the current via a resistor and doubling the voltage output (20Vpeak into a 100 ohm load, 50 of which we are providing in series to limit the current in the event of a short circuit). However, we're running into troubles with rise time due to other factors.

In order to reduce the rise time, we're looking at removing the series resistor and just have the opamp go to 10Vpeak right into the 50ohm load. However, that means there will no longer be the current limiting resistor in series. So I want to know if the opamp can handle that short for short durations or is it not equipped to handle it?

TPS562209: power consumption at no load

Part Number: TPS562209

Team,

we observed a high power consumption of the converter (12mA) at no load (Vout=4V; Vin=7V). We'd expect max 1mA.

Can you advise if the schematic is fine?

We can take into account a different TI device as well.

TMP116: Regarding Unique ID of TM116

Part Number: TMP116

Hi,

We are using TMP116 temperature sensors in our project.

Our requirement is we need Unique ID of temperature sensor in every message packet.

From the EEPROM registers in Sensor we  got Unique ID as per NIST Complience

WE have following queries on the same.

1. As per our understanding EEPROM have 4 registers, in these only two registers are changing

The remaining two registers are not changing Kindly let us know these non changing registers are represented for which purpose(Batch Information)?

If these non changing registers are common across all TI releasing TMP116 chips

then we can ignore those registers

2. Does TI Provide the NIST data on every batch of shipment of chips to us?

Please let us know how can we proceed on the same.

Thanks and regards

TPS65981: enabling VBUS power

$

Part Number: TPS65981

Dear,

I have a question about the TPS65981 USB PD controller.

For a project I need an enable pin for this controller, in such way, that VBUS power only is enabled when the host controller asserts its power available pin.

I use the program TPS65981_2_6_7_8 Application Customization 4_03 to generate customized firmware for the TPS65981.

But when looking at the IO pin options, I cannot find a specific enable pin to override the TPS while keeping it functional.

Is there a way to set this up ?

The problem is that the USB 3.0 driver stack can get confused between power states when the VBUS remains present while the driver software expects VBUS to be off.

Is there a reference hardware design example how to proceed ?

Thank you very much in advance.

With kind regards,

Part Recommendation: High Voltage Differential Input ADC?

$

Hello Team,

I would like some help finding an ADC or solution in general for a differential +/-10V input? Looking through our portfolio i only see ADC's that support a differential input up to 5V but even then the voltage swing is limited based on the common mode of the signal and reference provided to the ADC. For example, looking at the ADC122S655, though max input is 5.5V with a 2.5 common mode and no reference voltage i can only get a voltage swing of +/-2.5V. (Page 16, figure 36 of DS) Am i interpreting this correctly? It may look like there is not a 1 chip solution for this application and may require to scale down this +/-10V differential signal significatly. Would very much appreciate your thoughts and feedback. Thank you.

ADS1258: ADC values too well correlated, too close together

Part Number: ADS1258

Hi

I have a few questions concerning the ADS1258.

I am in the early prototyping and evaluation phase of a data logger for some sensors. In the first phase I want to specify a few of the sensors individually using single ended mode.
I reactivated my ADS1258 board with an MSP430f5529.

At first I was happy to see that the sensors correlated quite well with the temperature, but upon closer analysis I am not so sure.

Four sensors were connected to A0, A4, A8 and A23, measured with a multimeter, their output is between 2.47 V and 2.53 V.
(a span of >50 mV for which I would expect the signals to lie about 800000 units apart (or 400000 if full scale is from -5 to +5 V, but I am measuring single ended??)

I connected the sensors to GND and 5.0 V of the power supply(E36103A so hopefully stable enough), and connected this to REFN and REFP on the ADS1258-EVM as well as to GND (next to A8).
For the temperature, a DS18B20 was used.

The Status Byte:7 was 1, indicating the results were settled and valid.

In these data, some force was applied to one the sensor connected to A0 after the first few measurements and then released before the last three, which should have yielded an increased value of just the value A0.
In the graph, the values show much too close together and are all correlated. I am not sure if I overlooked something in the configuration.

The other ADC values (all left floating) bunch around 7400 and 80, one would (maybe) expect a bigger span of these noise values too?

I would be grateful for any hints.

Thank you very much,

Pio Bättig

TMS320F28388D: ADC interrupts not working without modifying f2838x_adc.h

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

Hello,

I'm encountering a surprising problem with the ADC_REGS structure defined in the header file f2838x_adc.h.

The size of this structure is 124 words. However in the header file F2837xD_Adc.h the definition was different as it had an additional field of size 4, bringing the total size to 128 words.

Now my problem is the following:

  • If I leave the header file f2838x_adc.h as is, the ADC interrupts don't seem to work
  • If I add the last 4-word field just like the header file F2837xD_Adc.h the ADC interrupts seem to work fine.

What is going on? Maybe it has something to do with the migration from COFF to EABI?

Regards,

Pierre

Part Number: PCM2900C

Hello ,

We have some queries regarding PCM2900C device.

We are not using VOUTL, VOUTR, HID0, HID1,HID2 pins in our design. Please suggest what to do with these pins? i.e can be  left unconnected, connect to VCC/GND or Pull up and Pull down.. If we have to use Pull up or Pull down please mention the resistors value also nd the voltage rail to be used.

A quick reply will be appreciated.

Team,

The max Virtual Junction Temperature for the XIO2001IZGU is 105 C.

The part has a max Storage Temp of 150 C.

Are the Virtual Junction Temperatures the Max allowed Junction Temperatures for this part?

Regards,

Aaron
