Hi, Is there a recommended practice for storing the MAC address in the MSP432E411Y? Ideally we would like to store the MAC address so that it can never be changed once it is written. Thanks!

Hello,
I would like to program Flash-1 and Flash-2 of TMS320F28379D device directly from CC studio without going into the Flashpump semaphores
Is there any way I can do this?
As an first time user I would like to program Flash-1 and Flash-2. Please help in letting me know on this can be done from CC studio.
Thanks,

Hi,
We need to do high speed GAN gate switching that needs a negative bias on Gate.
Can you please suggest a suitable device that can give -5V to -3V switching on the output with rise times max 500 ns even with driving into a 100nF load.

Hello,
As a pre-build step, I am using a python script to create a .c file (data_sets.c), however, the .c file is being created in the debug folder, instead of the script folder. Either way, in order to compile data_sets.c, I added the file to the main folder and linked it. But now I am receiving the error in the title.
Any suggestions to how to solve with would be helpful.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Document SWPA230A (CC3220 SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® Embedded Programming User's Guide) calls out a 12 step process for programming the WiFi chip. Is it possible to skip steps 4 thru 10 that are programming "PATCHES" into SRAM and SFLASH? In other words, can we go directly to "FS_PROGRAMMING" step 11 after entering programming mode? (In an attempt to go directly from step 3 to step 11, when we send command 0x34 with header and data, the WiFi chip does not respond at all - neither CC or 33)
The UniFlash tool requests information for SERVICE PACK and for CERTIFICATES for programming. Document SWPA230A does not call out either of these. Does the .ucf file require SERVICE PACK and CERTIFICATES when being created? Is there a relationship between the "PATCHES" and the SERVICE PACK? Are there special requirements on creating the .ucf file for Document SWPA230A?
Thanks.

I downloaded the latest (1.6.10.0, 20-Jul-19) version of TICS Pro and installed it without trouble. However when clicking 'Select Device => PLL + VCO => LMX2572 => LMX2572' the console on the bottom left prints an error (see below) and nothing else happens. The device is attached via USB and plugging/unplugging it does get recognized by the SW/logged in the console.
The error appears to be pointing to some missing dependency - can you provide more information and help out?
It follows the last couple of lines of the log000.txt file found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro, showing program start, device attachment and the error:

Hi Team,
We are looking for some code snippet which covers the TI_RTOS Meessage Ques synchronization with other tasks, or lese how to use the message Task.
Part Number: THVD1450
Hi Team,
My customer has a question on the behavior of the enable time for the THVD1450.
It's our understanding that we can tie the drive enable and receive enable pins together and drive them from a single logic signal. But looking at the switching characteristics in section 7.8, and when you put it all together it seems like, if you use this part in half-duplex mode like this, it takes from 2.5-10 microseconds to switch into drive mode, and 4-14 to switch back into receive mode. But if you for some reason are enabling both at once, it only takes the entirely reasonable 100ns or less.
Can you help us understand if we are interpreting this correctly? It seems like the delay to get data around a multidrop system is way too high.
Thanks,
Mitchell
My customer had the the following questions upon their review of our TDA4 SOM:
o Oscillator capacitor values appear out of specification for oscillator Y1 (22.5792MHz) based on design. (TDA4x_SR1.0_DM.pdf pg 172 indicates a range of 12-24pF for each load capacitor. However, the TI design shows 30pF components. Is there a reason for this?
o LPDDR4 vs 4x? What was the decision? Reason is customer is thinking about depop parts not installed in design.
o Why was power domain for RGMII 3.3V?
o Was there a signal integrity simulation run on the layout? Is there any information here for review?
o Is there any other SOM design collateral available – design implementation notes, supply calcs or simulation (WEBENCH), etc on CDDS or elsewhere?
o What is current concept for thermal design to protect the TDA4VM and SOM?

Hey guys,
I use the sensor collector 15.4Stack example of the CC1352R1. It basically works fine, however, I noted that when I wanted to change my channel on the board flashing is not enough. After flashing, I can see in my serial terminal (putty) that the previous channel is used. Although I changed it in CCS, compiled and flashed it. But when I now press button 2 + reset to factory reset the board, putty shows me, that now the new channel is set.
This behavior is strange, because it works perfectly when I use my CC1310 Launchpad and the same 15.4 Stack example.
May be the NV memory is not erased during flash? Any idea what I have to change?
EDIT: 2 quick further questions,
kind regards
Slev1n

Hi guys,
We need to test the AM5729 or the AM5749, however I couldn't find an EVB that have those microprocessors mounted on.
Can you please tell if it is possible to order the evaluation boards for the AM572x and AM574x with the AM5729 and AM5749 respectively?
Thank you!

Hi,
I'm doing the A3DPDEMO_SNK demo using the correct hardware configuration (MSP432P401R, BOOST-CC2564MODA, and CC3200AUDBOOST) with version 4.0.3. I've attempted to modify the A3DPDEMO_SNK.c file to add the rcVolumeUp and rcVolumeDown commands, which looked straightforward and I just copied the say similar remote commands were done (rcPlay for example). I did this also with rcPlayPause.
All of the remote control commands work on my Laptop, but the volume Commands for some reason don't work on my iOS mobile phone. when I open the putty console, I get a "Pass Through Response Code: 0x08" for just those two commands on just the phone. Every other command gives a response code of 0x09 and then says something like "succesfully paused stream."
Any ideas why or what I should check?

Hi team,
if I am going to sample 220V/50Hz voltage signal, could I directly using a differential circuit with gain around 0.003 and have a 1.65V as bias voltage for the non-inverting port. The 0.1V resolution is okay.
If I have this 0.003 gain circuit, what spec of amplifier should I focus most?
I think input offset could be ignored, since the gain is so small, as well as the input bias current.
Right now I am thinking of the input voltage density may cause some problem here because of the 6.5MHz GBW of opa4374. Even though the gain is 0.003, the noise gain is 1+0.003 here. And the En_in=en_in*square[1.57*fc], fc here could be 6.5MHz*1.003 also around 6.5MHz, then we have En_in=15nV*square[1.57*6.5M]=~0.048mV on the input, and we have output En=0.048*1.003=0.048mV. And it seems okay with the resolution since I have LSB= 0.1*0.003=3mV. Could you please help to check if my calculation is correct?
Besides the noise density, do you have other concerns for this circuit?

We have been using this fuel gauge on our battery packs for about 2 months / ~100 cycles and recently the state of charge estimations have been very inconsistent and I am not sure what is going on. The types of problems we are seeing are like in the image below - we put a battery pack into our drone system, take it off to fly it and the state of charge estimation changes from 100% to 0% in just 2 minutes (the actual flight time we are achieving is closer to 24 minutes). The temperature of the cells is usually above 40C as we have been operating it in hot environments.
I have confirmed that the current and voltage readings the FG (fuel gauge) is getting are accurate.
What parameters can I look at to figure out what is going on with this device?
Also, what is the required 'relaxation' time the FG to accurately make its measurements?
I have attached my golden image file.
Thank you,
> Andrew

There are examples on how to use TI_FEE_ libraries.
What I am trying to accomplish is small, so I was wondering if there was an easier way.
I have a four byte value that holds hours of operation. I have a one byte value that holds a Node ID.
Am I stuck using TI_FEE_ to do this? Is there a better way?

Hello,
I have issues with the "Bad Energy Trace data was detected in the data stream" error when using the Energy Trace HDR add on.
From looking at other tickets the answer seems to be that CCS cannot keep up with the sampling rate; which is an explanation but not a resolution.
Any suggestions? With this error the XDS110 ADD-ON ENERGY TRACE HDR device is basically unusable.
Also, I've noticed for the samples I do capture they are far noisier than with the basic XDS110 Energy Traceset up. I was doing a comparison with just a lone 300k ohm resistor and noticed a wild amount of noise on with the add on that I don't see with the basic set up. Is this expected?
