MSP-GANG: Programming shows success, actual failure need help

Part Number:MSP-GANG

We use TI's off-line burner MSP-GANG-PROGRAMER. Now there is a problem. I'd like to ask you for a solution.
This offline burner has been in use for several years and has been set up to burn five PCBA blocks at a time. More than a month ago, it was found that although the burner sometimes showed that the burning was completed (i.e. ticked), it was not actually successful, and the MCU was still blank. This failure occurs on different PCBA from time to time. What is the reason? How to solve it?

Hi,

I use DS90UB940 as Deserializer and DS90UB925 as Serializer. The product is automotive MP5. Sometimes the screen is black. At the same time, I set this bit, DIGITAL RESET1. The screen returned normal. Could you please tell what's the possible reason to cause the DS90UB940 not working?

Thanks.

TMS570LC4357: PBIST, RAM group selection and OVER bit

$

Part Number:TMS570LC4357

Hello,

We are using the TMS570LC4357 and we need more information about the PBIST ?

We perform the sequence below, otherwise, the writing of RINFOL and RINFOU is without effect and the PBIST is performed on all the regions (configuration by default):

  1. RINFOL and RINFOU registers are used to select the RAM groups.
  2. Then we have to clear the OVER0 bit in the OVER register (OVER0 is set to ‘1’ by default).

It seems to be different in the TMS570 reference manual and various explanation are given (see PBIST flow in section 9.3 or PBIST sequence section 9.1.3 where RAM group must be selected before OVER programming. But see also section 9.6.2 where OVER programming is performed before RAM group selection).

Could you tell us if this a documentation mistake and what is the good sequence to be performed ?

Christopher

BQ24610: Problems about charging

Part Number:BQ24610

Hi,

When the CE is enable, refering to waveforms on Page 12(BQ24610 datasheet), I see that VCC、VREF、REGN signals are normal. But PH and LODRV are abnormal. After the chip enters the charging mode, it lasts about 200ms and then it quits the charging mode. Because of CE enable, it happens every 2 seconds cyclically. The STAT1 LED blinks. Whether some conditions are triggered, it makes bq24610 to enter the charging mode and quit immediately. I read Section 9.3.7,but I didn't know how to solve it.

What is the reason? What should I do?

Thanks!

Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: not able to stop PRU and load user PRU examples

Part Number:PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X

Tool/software: Linux

Hello,

We are playing with Processor SDK Linux RT 05_03_00_07 on ICEv2 AM335x board. Now we want to try the examples of PRU. According to the wiki , we have to echo 'stop' to one of the PRU and load a user defined PRU firmware then restart again to test it. But the board always echo back the "permission denied" information so that we can not stop the PRU or load our user defined firmware.

We checked from this bbs and found in one question that maybe means we have to change the device file to put the PRU in user function instead of prueth by default. Am I right?

Could you help to tell us the detail of how to do this test?

Thank you!

Hi,

I review the Azimuth Angle computation in mmwave_industrial_toolbox_3_4_0\labs\lab0020_pplcount_Overhead\dss_data_path.c.

Function: void MmwDemo_XYZcalc()

Line 794:

Why this value is not asin(Wx/cos(ElevationAngle))?

Part Number:TMS320DM8148

Tool/software: Linux

hello everyone, I'm using the `DM8148` and `DVRRDK`, now, i have some questions on `syslink`.

I know that the IPCs internally use SharedRegion 0 for their shared memory needs, when I change the base address of `SR0` and change the size of `SR0` in the `config.bld` file, how did `syslink` know the new base address and size of `SR0`. Do I need to recompile `syslink`? if need, where is  the `syslink` config file and what changes should i do?

  Thanks, everyone.

UCC28070: Question about VDS ringing

Part Number:UCC28070

One customer is designing UCC28070 on 2.3kW (390V / 5.9A) function.

※Input is 200Vac

But problem is occurring, Vds ringing is large.

My question is two points below, please let me know any advice;

①When load current increase to "0A → 0.5A → 1A → --- → 5.9A" and measure by oscilloscope, waveform is conspicuous vertical stripe.

What is the reason of below vertical stripe?

②When timing for duty cycle exceed 50% (Less than 50% → 50%), large VDS ringing is occur and larger current become more large VDS ringing.

※In the case of "over 50% → less than 50%" is no problem.

Please let me know about the reason of increase VDS ringing by over 50% duty.

And, is there any idea for reduce ringing?

Best regards,

Satoshi

Part Number:TPS92662-Q1

Hello

I have two questions below.

1, I want to use a chip with 8 channels. But I don't find it. I know TI has TPS92663 with 6 channels, TPS92662 with 12 channels.

But, do you have a chip with 8 channels.

2, Do you have a chip that can control 16 LEDs solely ?

If you have, please let me know as soon as possible.

Hello,

I have interest in SafeTI ARM Compiler Qualification Kit with a question.

Does this kit support to identify and verify any compiler-generated object codes that are not directly traceable to the source code?

The intent of the identification and verification is to follow the FAA guideline documented as CAST-12 paper.

Part Number:CC1310

Hi,

I am rying to program a custom-made board using CC1310 following two-layer reference design.

1. SmartRF Flash Programmer is not detecting the board.

2. If it detects, getting the error while performing mass erase.

>Initiate access to target: XDS-L2000IXP.

>Create XBAL object failed: Debug interface is locked.

>Failed to create device object.

2. Occasionally if it gets mass erased, while programming this error is coming.

>Create XBAL object failed: Device 'CC1310F128' is not supported

>Initiate access to target: XDS-L2000IXP.

>Failed to create device object.

3. Voltages as these pins: Dcoupl = 1.97V

VDDR = 2.2V

VDDR_RF = 2.2V

While they should be Dcoupl = 1.2V

VDDR, VDDR_RF = 1.65v

How to proceed with debugging the system and making it work?
