UCC28070: Need updated PSPICE model for component and discussion on running at higher than specified input or bus voltage ratings.

Hello, 

I am currently using a UCC28070 in my design. It works well experimentally, but the part available for SPICE simulation. In particular the SPICE model does not have many of the pin-outs that the device has. 

Question: we are running an 800V bus with AC line voltages up to 305V, as long as my divider ratio is sufficient into the VINAC and VSENSE pins, does this matter that this is above the 400V rating of the device? 

Does TI have a good PSPICE model for this unit that contains all the pin-outs?

LMK03328: Programming using a simple binary file

Hi Team,

I am posting this inquiry for my customer:

Is it possible to program the LMK03328 using a simple binary/burn file? We just want to bring up a tool (CodeLoader) and  program the LMK using this binary/burn file without having to use the .mac and show the entire clocking scheme.  Ideally we would start Codeloder (or other software), we would not open a project, but say program LMK03328 using this burn file. The user would not know how the LMK03328 was being configured.

"00 0000 0000 0000 "-14bit Now in data sheet say value store in signed 2s complement so what exactly value of this and another one is

"0 0000 0000 0000 "-13 bit now this one are store unsigned 2s complement so what value of this?

TPS65988: Port 1 ends up to HARD reset in UFP mode after sending good crc to source capabilities

Hi,

I have issue with a port 1. Port 0 works in UFP,DFP, DRP mode. Port 1 does not work in UFP or DRP (try.snk) when connected to DFP. I have checked that all configurations should be similar between ports 0 and 1.

What happens is that after DFP advertises source capabilities and port 1 sends goodcrc there is HARD reset in PD trace. I have checked that PD message timings and content are similar between port 0 and port 1 before HARD reset. Port 1 ends up to HARD reset (initiated by DFP or UFP hard to say). UFP (port 1) also continue to send request message even after HARD reset.

I suspect that there must be firmware issue from two reasons:

1. Hard reset happens every time and with different DFPs. It always happen after goodcrc to advertised source capabilities.

2. Port 1 continue to send request message even after HARD reset seen on bus.

Is this known issue and is there fix for FW available? Or is there other possible reasons than FW?

I'am trying to pinmux EMIF pins but I can't write to KICK registers to unlock pinmuxing. Is there something I need to setup prior to be able to modify the value of these registers? 

I'am pretty sure Iam missing something obvious but I can't figure it out.

I have a question regarding the ADS5282 8-channel ADC EVM. Would this EVM be compatible with the Zynq Ultrascale+ ZCU104 MpSOC Evaluation kit if I were to use the TI FMC-ADC adapter? The ZCU104 has an LPC FMC interface.

Hello; I see that the device includes a "Scale Factor" register where I can support my 100AH application, but in section 18.27 it says  IPScale Not supported by the gas gauge ? 

Also, we use a 100uOhm shunt whereas the datasheet says the device is designed to support 1mOhm to 3mOhm. Can we merely use our high-side current sense amp to drive the current sense pins to +/- 100mV?

I'm using the BUF16821A and only using OUT1 through OUT10, is it ok to leave OUT11 through OUT16 and Vcom2 unconnected? Currently OUT11 through OUT16 and Vcom2 are programmed for 0V, is this OK?

LM393-N: Comparator Output Not Transitioning Low-to-High

Hello, I am using the LM393-N to try to toggle two voltages: Va and Vb. Va should drop high-to-low at V0=1V, and Vb should rise low-to-high at V0=3V. Va changes correctly. Vb never changes at all; Vb stays at 0V the entire time, regardless of V0's value. I've tried using another LM393-N chip in case the first one was damaged, but it had the same outputs. I switched the two comparators around and the same thing happened. I've checked all the connections and had someone else double-check them for me. I even reconstructed a new circuit from the ground up. I'd appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.

Hi,

We had a problem where the pre-defined symbol on the top level of the project was not picked up within one of the source files at the time of compilation.

After setting one pre-defined symbol at the top of the project, that symbol was not set for one of the files in the project.

Here are two related questions:

1. Is this happening because a possible change of the pre-defined symbols for that file?

2. What is the scope of pre-defined symbols if the procedure below is followed:

- click top of the project

- right click the mouse

- click "Properties" on a pop-up window

- Go to "Build"-"Advanced Options"-"Predefined Symbols"

- click on green icon with "+" and type in the pre-defined symbol

- click OK

- again, right click on the project

- go to top Resources, and click it.

- Click the "Apply" button at the bottom right corner.

Let me know if I am missing something here.

Note that I am using CCS 6.1.3, and that the processor is TMS320F28027, Piccolo.

BQ25895: BQ25895: Vsys very low

We are using the BQ25895 in our product but only get 0.6V on Vsys with or without battery inserted. Board is powered by a non standard 5V 3A supply. We are using BQ Studio to read/write registers in the device since our host MCU can not start without Vsys, but the battery charger still limits Vsys.
