CC2564: Is Slow Clock Necessary?

Hello,

I have a customer design which replicates the BT-MSPAUDSINK-RD.

However, my customer was thinking about removing the 0 Ohm between the MSP430 and the CC2564 SLOW_CLK_IN. 

Is this allowed? If not, why not?
