CC2650: TIMAC backwards compatibility with SimpliciTI

my customer is using CC2520 with SimpliciTI in an existing product.
CC2650 does not support SimpliciTI and I understand that TIMAC is our way to go on CC2650.

Will they be able to use TIMAC on CC2650 and be backwards compatible to their CC2520SimpliciTI based existing products?
Will the two standards be able to communicate with each other?
