For my 3.3V power supply I am looking at the TI TPS62056DGS. My nominal power will be in the 200uA range, but when the device wakes up, the 3.3V current goes up to 300 to 400 mA. I need my supply to be as efficient as possible in the 200uA range. Any suggestions? Is the TPS62056DGS a good choice? Is there another switcher you would recommend. My input voltage range is 5.5V to 8V. I'm not sure yet of my off time compared to my full on time - roughly I will wake up every 7 seconds and do some measurements, these will ideally will take less than 0.5 seconds. Once every month I will do a download via bluetooth of roughly 1Mbyte - so powered on for approx 30 seconds for teh download.
I don't think an LDO will give me my efficiency so I'm looking foir a switcher.
Any good options?
