Hi,
I have a question about the FCC certification of the TI WiFi and Bluetooth Module WL1835MOD/WL1831MOD/WL1805MOD/WL1801MOD. It looks like the module won't need to be re-certified if the antenna used is one of these:
Antenna Type | Brand | Antenna gain 2.4GHz~2.5GHz(dBi) | Part number(for reference only) |
---|---|---|---|
PCB | Ethertronics | -0.6 | 1000423 |
Dipole | LSR | 2 | 001-0012 |
PCB | Laird | 2 | CAF94505 |
Chip | Pulse | 3.2 | W3006 |
PIFA | LSR | 2 | 001-0016 |
Chip | TDK | 2.4 | ANT016008 |
But the FCC test report (Report No. : FR383067C) says that the Chip antennas used for the test are 1.22 dBi and -0.36 dBi
https://fccid.io/document.php?id=2114442
So if I use a 3dBi chip antenna am I going to break the FCC grant?
Thank you,
Salvo
