DLP-7970ABP: Selected hardware platform not found

I am trying to implement the TI NFC Tool Ver 1.8 with a MSP-EXP430FR5529LP / DLP-7970ABP combination on a Windows 10 PC following the “NFCLink Standalone Getting Started” (SLOU452). I get the “Selected hardware platform not found”.

I  installed UniFlash V4 and performed Section 2.3.1. I cannot load firmware, not can I connect to the MSP-EXP430FR5529LP / DLP-7970ABP (Device Manager is not assigned to a USB Port).

I installed Code Composer Studio Version: 9.0.00010 and performed 2.3.2 with similar results.

I tried to install the Driver (Section 2.4).   Windows reverts back to "The best drivers for your device are already installed."

I am running Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (Platform Win32NT, OS Version 6.2.9200.0) on a Lenovo ThinkPad.

Please advise.
