MSP430FR6972: Does Controller enter LPM if one of the GPIOs is driven high?

Part Number:MSP430FR6972

Hello

I have an application wherein I am supposed to detect the voltage of my main battery using ADC pin and once it drops beyond a value, i want to turn on a mosfet from my gpio pin to activate my reserve battery supply to AVdd and DVdd and put the controller into sleep mode (LPM3.5 preferably) since i want to keep my RTCalive till the main battery is replaced.

However, i will have to keep this gpio in high state to drive my mosfet so that the battery supply remains to my controller. But i also need the LPM to allow me at least 1-2 months of rtc backup until my main battery is replaced. Is there a provision for this?

Please advise

Regards

Shubhankar
