CC2538: Does zigbee stack version 3 run on CC2538 with 256K flash?

Part Number:CC2538

We are using the 513K version in our development lab (so we can't verify right now) but looking at the memory map it looks like the Zstack version 3.0.1 stack is still well under 128K, which means that we could go down to 256K flash and preserve using OTA download.

We  woulsd like to know for the purpose of cost projection in mass deployment, as the price difference between the 2538 with 256K and 512K flash is significant

TMDSSOLARUINVKIT: Understanding the DDSRFPLL and Frequency Limits

Part Number:TMDSSOLARUINVKIT

Hi Manish,

I've got the reference simulations working that are detailed in the sprabt4a.pdf and I've even managed to get breadboard setup running and tracking phases etc.

I've been looking to increase the 'grid frequency' range by a factor of 10 or more with the idea of adapting the code to monitor some small motors etc.

I've adjusted the LPF cutoff to maintain the 1/sqrt(2) (or lower) and adjusted the PI Gains B0 and B1 using the spll_coeff_compute.xlsx as a guide. After quite a few iterations and adjustments, It seems that I hit a maximum grid frequency of around 500Hz before I can no longer get the PLL to lock.

I've tried to see if switching frequency in the matlab model has an impact by simply scaling it up by a factor of 10 from 10kHz and that doesn't seem to help much.

The picture below shows the error plot at 500Hz, a settling time of 0.025 seconds (B0 = 268.4, B1 = 264.8), LPF coeffs K1 = 0.0715 K2 = -0.8571, Fs= 10kHz

It's clear the PLL doesn't settle within the 25ms so I suspect even at 500Hz it's barely stable.

Do you have any comments or suggestions on the upper frequency limit of the algorithm?

Also for an application where I want to accurately monitor the motor phases, the motors can vary quite a bit in operating frequency so I suspect there's a maximum usable frequency range for the algorithm?

Thanks,

James

Hi TI Team,

I have some questions about TPS57160-Q1,and I would like to discuss them with you.

The picture below is the circuit design of our company:

Design Reference:

Questions:

When Vin is 16V(power supply) and Vout are floating , Ripple will occur in Vout .
However ,when Vin increased to 16.66V, Vout was normal.
Is this type of problems acceptable?

CCS: Bluetooth Module Help

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am trying to add Bluetooth capabilities to a C2000 MCU with a Bluetooth module. I don't want to use BLE; I just want regular Bluetooth. Are there any resources I can use to help me develop a regular-Bluetooth application? As far as I understand, the way BLE works is you guys provide the stack object code to us in CCS, and we build an application on top of it. So if we aren't using the BLE stack, is there a "plain Bluetooth" stack we must use, or does it work a different way than that?

Best,

Edit: I have been doing some more searching on the line, and it seems like the modules just have a Bluetooth "stack" hard-coded onto them, and we communicate with them via wired communication (like UART)

Hi,

While testing of LMX2549EVM, i didn't get enough output power at higher frequencies. Please see the below table for your reference.

As per datasheet, at 15GHz i should able to get 2dBm. Can you please help me out?

Tell me how can i get to know whether PLL has lock or not, i mean any indication is there on GUI or EVM board?

Thanks & Regards,

Swarup.

BQ76PL455EVM: Is there any programmer technical document for BQ76PL455EVM module?

Part Number:BQ76PL455EVM

Hi. The BQ76PL455EVM module has a GUI version of control software, while, in my case, I need to code the commands by myself and sent through UART from a microcontroller (TMS570), is there any resources for programmer? The TI website only shares a simple sample code and a GUI user document, which is far not enough. For example, I maybe need to know some detailed internal software information of BQ76PL455EVM, so that I can access the register.

Thanks for any help.

Part Number:LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi I;m wondering about scanning speed performance .

is it possible that 100  devices are advertise 254 byte data and it change every 1 second (then in 2scond, every device advert 2 frame of PDU) , and every device have to scan all of near devices per a second to scan 2frame of PDU.

maybe maximum number of device is 200~300.

is it possible? or not is there are good idea to scan more then 200 device as fast as device can?

the previous post stated that the CDC3RL02 can take in an AC-coupled signal. In this case, what is the expected clock output range? We do observed negative voltage at clock output with AC coupled clock input.

However, section 7.3 in the datasheet shows that the CLK_OUT at min 0V.

Hi TI,

Thanks for your previous response.

Now I know /CHG will goes low when battey insert even in TTDM mode.

In our device, /CHG doesn't goes low when battery insert.

1. If AC is present, /CHG doesn't goes low when battery insert

2. If insert battery first then insert AC, /CHG goes low
