Compiler/OPT8241-CDK-EVM: How do I calibrate in the Voxel viewer?
Part Number:OPT8241-CDK-EVM
Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler
I have an inquiry for a long time.
We are in the development work using TI EVK. In the meantime, there is a question.
Our purpose is to control the duty cycle using TI EVK.
Q1. What can I adjust to adjust the 'duty cycle' in the VOXEL viewer? We are planning to change the 'duty cycle' in the VOXEL viewer and check it with an oscilloscope.
Q2. I am sure you don’t use a laser driver IC in this circuit, so please let me know how I can control the duty cycle.
If I need to change the schematic circuit, please specify which part I need to change.
Whether I need to manipulate the firmware, or other ways.
I appreciate your big support and I’ll waiting for your detailed explanation.
Thank you

2. Or is there any step for trouble shooting?
Thank you.
TDA2: TDA2
Part Number:TDA2
Hi,
I am trying to build the application using the steps mentioned in ProcessorSDKRadar_UserGuide.pdf for TDA2x+. I am using AWR1243 sensor with TDA2x+. Why the steps related to changes need to be made for TDA2px in the 3.2 step of the document are not mentioned? If I make the following changes in the Rules.make file present in the build directory of visionsdk.
MAKECONFIG?=tda2px_evm_bios_radar
& execute gmake command to build application after setting the correct XDC path, I encounter the following error:
D:/ProcessorSDK_Radar_3_1_0_0/vision_sdk/apps/configs/cfg.mk:21: D:/ProcessorSDK_Radar_3_1_0_0/vision_sdk/apps/configs/tda2px_evm_bios_radar/cfg.mk: No such file or directory
gmake: *** No rule to make target `D:/ProcessorSDK_Radar_3_1_0_0/vision_sdk/apps/configs/tda2px_evm_bios_radar/cfg.mk'. Stop.
And there is no file related to TDA2px at the location: D:\ProcessorSDK_Radar_3_1_0_0\vision_sdk\apps\configs.
Did I miss any step while installation or is there something which needs to be installed for TDA2px?
Thanks & regards,
Varsha

CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCSv8 installation stuck for Ubuntu 18.04
Part Number:CCSTUDIO
Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
Hi,
i am trying to install CCSv8 at my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS machine but every try got stuck at the same line (screen attached). I followed the instructions at this link, but cannot get pass the "Install CCS" step.
The interessting thing is that I even did not mark the support for the C6000 family.
What can I do?
TMS320DM8127: Looking for information for programming OSD
Part Number:TMS320DM8127
Hi All,
I am using DM388 and ipncrdk3.9 , I am also facing black background issue. I have succesfully created a string in paint (white characters with navy blue back ground)and converted it into Y and uv and followed the steps mentioned in docs, I am able to get the font correctly as white but the back ground is black.
Apart from that i have doubt about the format mentioned in doc and the format discussed in the forum.
The format mentioned in the doc is yuv420p uv interleaved and format discussed above is yuv420sp .
Attached my string pattern.
thanks

TPS61236P: VIN Requirement
Part Number:TPS61236P
Hi there,
In my customer's application, they are trying to get a 5 V output from an input smaller than but very close to 5 V.
When looking at the datasheet, it says that "The maximum input voltage should be 0.6-V lower than the output voltage in Constant Voltage operation for the TPS6123x to function correctly"
I also saw that TPS6123x may enter into pass-through operation when Vin is close but lower than Vout. But a 0.4 V under voltage may occur.
My question is, is TPS61236P suitable for this application? My customer tested the EVM and found that Vin = 5V worked at Vout=5V/Iout =200mA.
As the datasheet uses the term "may" a lot, does it mean this is an uncertain characteristic?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Roy Hsu
TPS22918-Q1: CT-Pin capacitor calculation
Part Number:TPS22918-Q1
Hello Team,
we found in datasheet 'SLVSCZ8A –JULY 2016–REVISED JULY 2016' information which do not fit.
Chapter 8.3.3 - Equation 3 is used pF unity for CT cap and Table 2 shows 220pF@5V for rise time 650us.
Chapter 9.2.2.5 - Refers to table 2 and explains that at Vin 5V a CT of 220uF should be used to get 650us
I think there is a typo in chapter 9.2.2.5 which should be pF instead of uF or vice versa?
Many Thanks
Josef
Caffe vs Caffe-Jacinto for TDA2x
I ran the initial cifar10 network from Caffe-Jacinto repo on the TDA2x, and got an accuracy of 89%.
This is the network:
I tried training the same network (using the same solver.prototxt, train, prototxt, and deploy.prototxt) in original Caffe.
While the network did train in Caffe, it did not work on the TDA2x. The network did import and run on EVE, but the output was the same for all test images.
Does Caffe-Jacinto make the resulting networks more compatible with the TDA2x?

ADS8320: Noise spec does not match SNR
Part Number:ADS8320
Hello,
For a low-noise application we are currently looking into the ADS8320.
However, I'm having some questions about the noise spec in the datasheet...
Normally, assuming the SNR is tested with a full-scale sine wave input, there should be a simple relation between the SNR and the noise spec, right?
To calculate the input-referred RMS noise, I would use; 10^(-SNR/20) * Vinrms (and Vinrms = Vpp / (2 * sqrt(2)) for a sine wave)
So that the ADC RMS noise translates to; 10^(-90/20) * (5V/(2*sqrt(2))) = 55.9uV RMS
However, the datasheet specs RMS noise on 20uV RMS?
1) Am I missing something here, or do in interpret hte noise spec wrong?
2) How does the noise/SNR scale with changing the reference voltage (we're using 2.5V)
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Sven

TUSB4041I: TUSB4041 standby power and transmission speed
Part Number:TUSB4041I
Dear all,
For TUSB4041i, following questions want to confirm with you:
1) If there is no data transmission, and TUSB4041I is in standby mode, so what the power consumption would be like?
2) Since it can support 4 ports, can the four ports can support high speed transmission(480Mbps) simultaneously? if not, what is the max transmission rate can TUSB4041I support at the same time for the four ports?
Thanks.
CC2541: System draws about 50 mA during START_DEVICE_EVT and current draw falls on keypress
Part Number:CC2541
Hi,
We have a custom board with CC2541 in which we need ble functionality along with key press events. I am using modified simpleBLEcentral project. Now when i power up the device, system draws about 50 mA current and it reduces to normal value of about 5mA when a key is pressed. When i commented the line - "osal_set_event(simpleBLETaskId, START_DEVICE_EVT)" in simpleBLECentral_Init(), the problem is not there. but i need to use ble aslo what can be the problem? waht is the solution?
CCS/66AK2H14: CCS/66AK2H14
Part Number:66AK2H14
Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
Hi ,
We have designed customized board using 66AK2H14. We are using CCSV7 and TI XDS 110 debug probe to connect board to CCS.
I have to flash gpio_led program into nor flash. I understand I need to convert the .out file to a .dat file so I can write it into NOR flash and run it from there.
I would like to know the procedure that needs to be followed to convert my out file into a dat file. Please provide any suggestions on how I do that.
Thank you,
Mahima Shanbag.
