When I import uartEcho project from AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01 into a CCS version: 7.4.0.00015, compilation was successful but when I start debugging it's suspended. Is there a manual/user guide to run this application? Thanks in advance.

Hi TI,
We want to use TI serial bootloader as firmware upgrade mechanism via serial interface.
However, the PIN define of our module is not the same as CC1312 launchpad.
Can the UART0 RX/TX pin define of serial bootloader be changed?

Vince

Hi
I have question for INA381.
1.
The recommended differential input range is not specified in datasheet.
http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ds/symlink/ina381.pdf
Does it have this spec?
I will make the device generate alert at 1A current using 50mohm resistor.
2.
Does the shutting down Vs also reset device instead of toggling RESET pin?
For example, is connecting RESET to VS acceptable?
3.
Is Table 3 in datasheet not applicable to INA381?

I'm using TDA2X vision high board. I built the test application provided along with the TI deep learning library TIDL for EVE and loaded it on the EVE core from Debugger.
The profiling results i got was: TEST_REPORT_INIT_PROFILE_DATA : TSC cycles = 1045023112, SCTM VCOP BUSY cycles = 0, SCTM VCOP Overhead = 0
TSC cycles are 1045023112 which is way higher than the promised cycles in the datasheet.
What am I doing wrong. Please guide.

I'm developing the firmware for a custom board with CC2650 5x5 package. I have just noticed the BLE Stack 2.2.1 is only compatible with CCS 6.2 and thus I reverted back from version 7.3. I installed the proper version of the compiler (5.2.6) as suggested and tried to import and compile the Simple Peripheral Project. However:

Other projects of the same folder give similar errors. I have also tried to use the Project Zero as a starting point but even there many errors appear. How can I solve these errors?
Thanks for your time,

Hello,
We have implemented Modbus protocol over TCP using lwip Stack without using any RTOS. Our control send the Modbus Queries 0x03 (Read Holding Register) and 0x10 (Write Multiple register)on every 1 seconds.
For Testing, We are using PLC Slave modbus simulator from Modbustools.com with our control.
In Halogen, under EMAC tab we configured "No of receive packet buffer" as 10. We also tested by setting buffer to 15 and 30 and in both cases, control stuck in receive interrupt in less than 20sec time.
We observed that Control works properly for Few seconds (repeatedly observed control works around 22 seconds ) then control hangs in Rx_Interrupt handler loop forever, Can anyone help on to resolve the issue?
Query and response log is attached below. Last query and response is highlighted in below log

Hi,
I have a static ip address for my target board. I want to use this ip address on eth1.
Below is my kernel command line :
console=ttyS0,115200n8 vram=16M root=PARTUUID=5f7cc9db-02 rw rootwait ip=10.31.18.17 mem=1024M
With this when the board boots it perform DHCP and RARP requests for two time then it fails.
Then I have modified /etc/network/interfaces as below
iface eth1 inet static
address 10.31.18.17
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.31.18.1
and tried with ifup eth1.
Now I can see inet addr:10.31.18.17 Bcast:10.31.18.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 for eth1 with ifconfig.
But I am unable to ping to other hosts. Am I missing something? Please help.
Thanks.

Hi
When Changing PWM frequency 10KHz to 20KHz with setting motor speed as 100% motor speed will change as to be increased.
Regarding to GUI parameter :
Set Motor Speed : 100%
PWM switching frequency : 10KHz -> 20KHz
Current Motor Speed : 1605 rpm -> 3225 rpm
Is it normal operation?

Hi
Let me talk about a Status byte using I2C for DLP4500.
I do not see a Status byte When it is programming mode
We try to read Manifacture ID(0x15,0x0C), We got these values.
[0]:0x83 // We gess it is not status byte, it seems Table A-4
[1]:0x14
[2]:0x08
[3]:0x48
[4]:0x00
[5]:0x00
[6]:0x20 // man id?
[7]:0x00 // man id?
[8]:0x00
I2C Read Transaction Sequence is described in Section 1.1.2 of Programmers guide
5. Host reads a status byte and checks that bit zero is set.
Should we not see the status byte When it is programming mode.

I read Intel's connected logistics solution here : [https://www.honeywellaidc.com/solutions/workflow/connected-freight-solution] and reading further into it, I got to know that they were using SimpleLink Bluetooth Low Energy MCUs : [http://www.ti.com/ww/en/wireless_connectivity/sensortag2015/index.html]
My query is whether the sensor data transmitted by these smart tags which are inside metal container of the truck can reach the IoT gateway which is on the driver's panel which is the front part of the truck.
There will be a metal obstacle between MCU and Gateway, so is it possible that Sub-1 GHz or any other feature of the SimpleLink MCUs can aid in transmitting between these two devices ?

Hi
Let me talk about changing Display mode for DLP6500.
Should Host of I2C wait for a little time after change VideoMode/Video Pattern Mode via I2C.
Both SCL and SDA signal lines remain Low, after the first Ack in Figure 1-2 of Programmer's Guide,
if we issue a command to read Hardware Status after 5 ms.
If we should wait, How much should we wait ?

Hello TI(Sal),
OK - to continue on this thread:
I found in my app I have to do the following in usb_dev_serial.c :
In the:
// USBUARTRXIntHandler - Interrupt handler for the UART RX which is being
// redirected via USB.
__interrupt void USBUARTRXIntHandler(void) -
At the end of this IRQ handler I've had to put the following:
UARTIntClear(UART1_BASE, UARTIntStatus(UART1_BASE, false)); (I'm using UART1 vs. UART0.)
If I don't clear the IRQ's; the handler will not process any more messages; I'll just stop after getting the first message.
Note, I've tried looking at all of the status registers on SCI-B and USB0; and I can't find what the issue is here.
But, if I put that in; the IRQ handler at least keeps processing messages.
As a test, to make sure everything is working OK - I put the following in an 'idle' task:
uint8_t ui8Char;
ui8Char = 'A';
USBBufferWrite(&g_sTxBuffer, (uint8_t *)&ui8Char, 1);
A's were printed out on my usb/serial connection to the '69 USB I/F - so that works just fine.
But, I'm not sure why I had to call the UARTIntClear(); command to keep the IRQ running properly.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
John W.
