TPS2561: tps2561 using just one channel

Here is a question on TPS2561

since TPS2561 is a dual channel, can just one channel be used, for example, EN1 is used to control channel 1 and EN2 is pulled down to GND. Then OUT2 is floating and Vin is connected together just for channel 1?

Hello,

What is the R and C values of components present inside the SAR ADC? In the datasheet the R and C values of ADC from AUX pins is given, do these values hold good for the Vsense pins as well?

Provide more information on the ADC's settling time, acquisition time and the equations involved so as to calculate the external RC values so as to obtain high ADC accuracy.

TMS320F280045: External pullup at TMS pin using XDS110 with cJTAG mode

Customer was facing connection problems using XDS110 USB interface in cJTAG mode while working fine in normal JTAG( 4 wire) mode.
Finally he found out that the pullups (2k2 resp.4K7) at TMS pin were to low recommended in the datasheet :

Now he is just having the C2000 internal pullup for software debugging but feels uncomfortable to use this configuration for his final production design.
What is for cJTAG mode the optimal ext. pullup value for TMS pin to have reliable signal stability?
Is this an XDS110 issue and changes when moving e.g. to XDS200?

In the reference manual of the controller you state in section 21.14 "Message Interface Register Sets":

NOTE: Only 32-bit accesses to the CAN registers are allowed, as 16-bit accesses may not work as
expected.

However in the TI examples only 16 bit accesses are used.

What is correct?

I'm using SimplebleCentral project running in cc2541 keyfob(central) and i have HidKbdEmu project in another custom keypad (peripheral). i have to send notifications from peripheral to central device when key is pressed or released. i have code for sending notifications. But i dont know how this notification is handled in the central device(gatt client).

Hello,

In the datasheet, there is a condition which is GVDD = VDD = 12 V, fSw = 400 kHz and IVDD=10.5(typ) and IGVDD_x = 8mA/half_bridge.

I think 12V power supply current will be 42.5mA(typ). Is my understanding correct.

when switching frequency is 500kHz, IGVDD_x will be increased. Is it roughly ok that 500k/400k x 8mA = 10mA/half-bridge?

Is TPA3255 allowed to use in parallel with PBTL Mode in order to get more transmit power (Use 2pcs TPA3255 in parallel to get 1000W power) ?

and why can't  efficiency of TPA3255 achieve 96%?

LAUNCHXL-CC13-90: CC1310 + CC1190 Reference Design poor performance

We have been testing with a pair of LAUNCHXL-CC13-90US and a pair of LAUNCHXL-CC1310 development boards from TI.

We tested using the rfPacketErrorRate app supplied in the flash of each dev board. At a variety of ranges from <1m to approx 500m, we found that the CC1310-only LAUNCHXL-CC1310 boards consistently outperformed the CC1310+CC1190 boards. We were expecting the CC1190 to give us a RSSI improvement of 20-24 dDm, not a reduction, or at best no significant increase. 

We tested using

  • 2-GFSK
  • 915.0 MHz
  • CC1190 Enabled (for the CC13-90) 

(By the way, our own boards based on the LAUNCHXL-CC13-90US reference design showed similar performance to the official dev boards.)

Have others experienced similar disappointing results from this combo? What could  we be doing wrong?

Possible factor...

As part of our investigation we did a lot of testing driving the boards using SmartRF Studio 7, including transmission at 14dBm until we found discussion suggesting the CC1190 could be damaged by input above 5 or 6 dBm. Is it possible we progressively and inadvertently damaged all our CC1190 devices in this way? The output on our VNA is remarkably similar for all the different devices, so we don't think this is the case.

1) my project application, NB_IOT gas meter

2) the power rail: DC6V output from dry battery, the through LDO output 5V , throurh DCDC output 3.6V power for NB module.

3) another power rail: DC3.6V from LI-battery, through DCDC output 3.6V power for NB module. The battery voltage will drop, so it needs to be boosted.

please help me to check the TPS61099 can meet the request?

they need meet the boost and buck at the same PCB.

IWR1642: Building IWR1642 custom board

Hello,

I am now trying to build a custom board using IWR1642.

Our design is almost the same with the IWR1642Boost except some GPIOs

Flashing the chip will be done through uart over USB or RS232 selective with a 0 ohm resistor.

For uart over USB, TI design uses TM4C1294NCPDTT3. Here is my question.

Do I need to program the TM4C before applying the board?

Or I just mount the part and plug it in USB port of PC, then PC automatically recognize the device? 

Please let me know it.
