Part Number:TPS65919-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer wants to adjust power-up / down sequence of TPS65919-Q1 for specific application.
I believe it isn't possible to adjust power-up / down sequence for customer use because the power-sequence controller uses OTP memory (factory-programmed).
Is my understanding correct?

I would like to confirm just in case.

Hi,

The customer consider bq27421-G1 to their application. In their application, they need to locate the gauge on the separated PCB from battery, then they'd like to know if bq27421-G1 has function to compensate IR drop between gauge and battery. I found Max IR Correct resister in TRM. Is this function used for this purpose?

Part Number:DRV8834

Hello,

Our customer use the DRV8834 with STEP/DIR control and mixed decay(50% fast).

The customer have a question.

The mixed decay is applied at increasing current and remaining constant.

How about the decay mode after power on reset?

The customer check decay mode at initial position, then it is slow decay.

Is it correct?

CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Current consumption above one mA when trying to get the MCU in IDLE, STANDBY or SHUTDOWN mode

Part Number:LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I'm powering the MCU part of the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 board externally and then I measure the current. The current consumption does not go below 1 mA, neither with the "empty" example ("empty_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs") nor with the "pinStandby" example from the SDK. When I do the same with the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 board I can see the current going down to 450 uA (I need to close the CCS for that and unplug/plug the USB so that the debugger is not connected) but not below that (using the "pinStandby" example from the SDK).

I have the impression that some of the examples in the SDK were developed for other boards and then ported to the new launchpad modules (e.g. the README.html is referring to the SmartRF06 EB: "Note that in order to get lowest standby current, the JTAG pins TMS and TCK should be disconnected after programming the device by removing the jumpers on P408 of the SmartRF06 EB. TMS and TCK have internal pull-ups and are driven low when inactive from the emulator, hence after programming the device these jumpers should be removed to avoid the extra leakage current."). Have they been tested for current consumtion with the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 and the LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1?

Is there a way I can see in which mode the device is apart from looking at the current consumption?

Thanks,

Jeroen

Hi

I have a simple question. Our customer are going to use this device at default setting of REFCM registor.

Can we leave REFIO2 floating or connect to GND as mentioned at datasheet if is at default?

Is my understanding correct?

TM4C products linked to wrong PL

Dear E2E team,

TM4C are linked to the wrong forum list. Instead of presenting TM4C forum, when entering a TM4C part number, the LPW forums are listed in the forum dropdown menu. No way to change this back to TM4C as soon as a TM4C part number has been entered.I have also tryed the development kit part numbers. Also selecting a software/tool relation doesn't change the behavior. Posting the thread resulting in the wrong forum also (as expected).

Please have a look at this. As you can see, there is no scrollbar presented. Also using keys is not possible to see additional forums.

AM3358: UART transmission complete interrupt

$

Part Number:AM3358

Hi,

I want to connect my UART to a communication partner which does not support duplex. Means sending to this device has to be signaled by a separate output. Only when this output is LOW, the other side is allowed to send an answer, when the output is HIGH the other end receives data.

My idea was to use a GPIO for this and to set it to HIGH on begin of a transmission and to set it to LOW on end of transmission. Now my question: is there an interrupt which signals "UART FIFO empty" / "transmission completed" or something like this? Only one I found was the "FIFO threshold" interrupt which does not mean transmission was completed.

Or is there a different solution to implement such a signal line which is HIGH only as long as data transfer is in progress?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm currently designing a BMS using the BQ76pl455A-Q1 and TMS570LS0432 MCU, as this microcontroller has a lot of functionality that I wont need, should unused pins (such as all ADIN, all N2HET, all but 2 GIO, all SPI and various other connections) be connected to the ground reference or left floating?

Thanks in advance,

AM3505: Power-up issue

$

Part Number:AM3505

Dear E2E Support,

My customer has some start-up issue with our TPS65023 which power our AM3505.

Here is his description below:

On scope 5 :

-          Yellow trace => +5V_ALIM (Main Power supply of the PMIC)

-          red Trace => +1.8V (Power supply of DDR and a part of the CPU)

-          Green Trace => +3.3V (Power supply of main 3.3V)

-          Blue trace =>  VDDSHV_EN (Enable command of +3.3V PMIC Output)

Scope5

I do not understand what happened on +1.8V.

The start up is OK and 1.8V is reach for 2ms and it continue to rise until 2.7V. The slope seems the same as +5V_ALIM and +3.3V_ALIM.

Do you know this problem and how to solve it?

We have some products where the +1.8V stays always to 2.7V supply and the board is KO (it’s not possible to launch application…)

When we withdraw the CPU, after start up, Power supply 1.8V is OK. It doesn’t rise until 2.7V.

First remark : When I put a 100nF capacitor on VDDSHV_EN (or for C70 ), power startup is OK (see scope 4). But we must be carefull because the +1.2V(for the core supply) and 1.8V_USB/3.3V_USB LDOs will start before the 3.3V (is it a pb?)

Scope4:

Second remark  : 3.3V – 2.7V = 0.6V it seems to be a voltage clamp diode ! What is the electronic interface between the +1.8V domain (VDDS/VDDS_SRAM/VDDS_DPLL/VDDSOSC) and +3.3V domain (VDDSHV) of the CPU?

Other scope if it can help to understand the power supply sequence:

Scope_8

Yellow: +5V_ALIM

Green: +3.3V

Pink: +1.8V

Bleue: +1.2V

And scope_9:

Yellow: +5V_ALIM

Green: +3.3V_USB

Pink: +1.8V

Bleue: +1.8V_USB

I can share the schematic in private message if needed.

DP83867IS: DP83867 timing budget

Part Number:DP83867IS

Hi,

I would like you to confirm which method is better for DP83867.

* According to following URL, there is description about timing budget of DP83867.

www.ti.com/.../snla243.pdf

I read overview of above, and I understand there is description about how we can set delay in this document.
But I'm not sure which method is better to set delay.

A. At first, we do not add delay and just measure clock and data.
After that, we should add delay based on this result.

B. There is general delay value(Ex 2.0ns) which we should apply and we should set this delay value at first.

If user can not achive timing requirement, even though they set certain delay value, user should set additional setting.
The difference b/w above two is that this delay setting is "mandatory" or "option".

In RGMII mode, we would like to know whether this setting is mandatory or not.

LM5026: Doubts regarding Optocoupler to LM5026 COMP Interface

Part Number:LM5026

Hi friends,

I have a doubt regarding Optocoupler to LM5026 COMP Interface. Please refer Figure 16. Optocoupler to LM5026 COMP Interface in LM5026 datasheet.

when output voltage increases, the optocoupler will conduct more this will cause increase in voltage at comp pin and decrease in voltage at mirrored transistor(soft start pin) and results in inverting pin of the compactor results in increase in duty cycle. so increase in output voltage results in increase in duty cycle. But actually we need increase in output voltage should results in decrease in duty cycle. Please explain me why it is so?

Part Number:TMS320C6748

Hello,

I am using tms320c6748 lcdk kit. I am trying to do a loopback test of mcbsp0. When I try to write to the mcbsp0 control registers , I am able to do it successfully. When I try to write to mcbsp0 fifo registers no value is written.Suppose if I want to write to MCBSP_FIFO_WFIFOCTL  register  I give

HWREG( 0x01d11810) =0x00000200;

then the value is not written to register. I run this statement ,breakpoint at next statement and go to register view in CCS and see register is not updated. Why does this happen? Also there is no mcbsp1 fifo registers seen in register view. Please help me to solve this.

what should I do specially to set these registers?

Thanks in advance

Part Number:LM5019

Hi team.

My customer wants to apply the LM5019's bootstrap capacitor to 470pF.

Does the problem occur when the bootstrap capacitor is applied below 10nF ?

The System condition is input voltage 54V and the output voltage 3.3V.

Currently he don't have capacitor 10nF/100V.

So he want to use 470pF/100V.

Thank you.

Part Number:AM4376

Hi Sitara team.

Using the AM4376 together with an MCU.

Communication is needed. Its preferred to do this as simple and fast as possible.

3 scenarios comes to mind:

1. SPI, high speed and simple to implement

2. Memory bus (is there Linux drivers for a simple implementation)?

3. Dual ported RAM (is there Linux drivers for a simple implementation)?
