The frequency divider selection

Hi team,

The customer would like to convert the frequency from 20HZ to 10HZ. That is the input frequency is 20HZ, the output frequency is 10HZ.

I use the WEBENCH, it shows the CDCE913 can achieve this function. 

I would like to verify that if it can achieve this function.

If it can, how to achieve this function? For the customer requirement, he needs the  PLL bypass mode. How to select the PLL bypass mod,not  the PLL mode?

If it cannot, would you provide another solution?

Linux/AM4376: USE GPIO simulate the LTP Port, Can this design be realized?

Dear all:

       We designed a POS motherboard using Am4376, and Kernel is Linux4.1.18. The main board receives the data sent by PC through the parallel port, and then sends it to the parallel port printer. We use GPIO to simulate parallel port transceiver, the following is our circuit design, I would like to ask whether such a design is reasonable, can meet the parallel port communication requirements? Now we can send data to the parallel port printer, but we can't receive the parallel data from PC. The main problem is that we cannot respond normally to STB (STROBE) interrupts。The J59  is connected the printer,the J60 is connected to PC.

TPS2052B: Current limit value and value asserted OC pin

Hi,

My customer is evaluating the TPS2052B.

When the current is increased gradually, though OC pin is asserted, current limit doesn't work .

So the current value which the OC pin is asserted is different from current limit value.

However it is mentioned follows on the datasheet.

Is this correct behavior?

CC1120: Test Setup for testing receiver saturation on the CC1120 versus CC1101

Hi,

We are running tests a proprietary mesh network were the nodes are co-located all in the same room, mounted right next to each other. Our nodes maybe either Co-ordinator Devices (CD), Full Function Devices (FFD) or Sleepy End Devices (SED). Saturation is a big problem in this use case. We have prototypes built using the CC1101 and due to the CC1120 providing better saturation handling, we are changing our design to incorporate the CC1120. This is based on iour questions on this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/proprietary_sub_1_ghz_simpliciti/f/156/p/598533/2200421#2200421 

We want a test setup that can compare the saturation when using the CC1101 versus the same setup using the CC1120.

1. Can TI provide some guidance on how to setup such a test? 

2. Is there sample code to test saturation?

      The config operation in *.cfg file (old version) ,  how do I come true in the new version?

Suggestions for USB PD and USB Audio to source the SmartAmp TAS5768M

Hi Guys,

I already asked my question in the Audio Forum and got some pleasing answers from Roy Hsu. He suggested, that I ask my question, regarding the USB path here again. So here's my question:

I want to build myself a little stereo Soundbar with the TAS5768M as a Poweramp. Since I only want everything handled with one USB-C or USB-Typ A connector (power delivery and audio stream) I am searching for suitable solutions from TI.

I think the best approach would be a USB PD chip capable of handling the apropriate power role depending on the source (PC or Laptop) and checking wether to use 5V@3A or greater. After the negotiation the chip should release the data lines so that an USB audio chip or Microcontroller can handle the USB audio device class recognition so i can use the soundbar as an audio device for my audio output on PC. I am not sure if I can mix a USB PD chip with an USB audio chip (USB 2.0), thats why I ask if someone has some suggestions for me how to realize my little project.

According to Recommended Operating Condition table of F28069 datasheet, the maximum Low-level output sink current IOL is 4mA(not Group 2) and maximum Low-level output voltage is 0.4V.

Is there any characteristics chart of IoL V.S. VoL please?

My customer would like to know the VoL when IoL = 0.36mA.

Compiler/TMS320F28335: one word of code(0xFFFF) would be missed using hex2000 to convert .out to .bin

Hi Champs,

My customer is designing F28335 UART bootloader. When they converted .out to .bin file, they found a word of code whose content is 0xffff would be missed using hex2000. Their bootloader code is located in FlashA, and APP code is located in FlashC.

(1) They use AppCode_COFF2BIN_28335.bat to convert code, the code is missed; (2) They updated hex2000.exe using the latest version, the code is still missed; (3) They use CCS post-build steps, and the code is still missed. Please find the scripting file and .out as bellow.

We found the 0xffff missing happened during .out to .s2 file.

In .out file, 0xffff exists. 

And in .s2 file, 0xffff is missed.

Would you kindly help to check the root cause and also the workaround?

TPL0401A-10-Q1: I2C interface no ACK response during device addressing

My customer is using TPL0401A-10QDCKRQ1. However when they access the deivce through I2C they found that the device cannot response ACK signal after they send the device address: 0101110. They have checked the top mark of the device is 15N. Bellow is the schematic and I2C waveform;

DRV8870: Short circuit protection

Hi,

 in medical application customers need any kind of protection and not always it is easy to find the right solution.

For example, I was asked to suggest something to avoid that due to simultaneous internal short circuit of the high side and low side of different legs , the motor runs without control.

For your info now they have some relais, more than one, to protect this situation, even if this solution is not 100% sure, because it may happen that also all relays get shorted simultaneously, but in this case probability it may happen is quite low.

Maybe this is a question for QA people, but what is the probability that 2 internal mosfets get shorted.

Any idea or solution?
