A customer is wondering about the GUI Composer Runtime Portability and Source, a little beyond https://dev.ti.com/gc/designer/help/GC_UserGuide_v2/gc-faq.html

especially when running offline on the desktop

1. How portable is the gcruntime?  Could you run it on an app processor like Beaglebone Black?

2. If not, can TI provide source to do 1.?

3. Is there anything a customer would need to tweak for running gcruntime offline? Any widget that would force needing Internet access?

4.We see the gcruntime components mentioned in above FAQ in C\guicomposer\runtime\gcruntime.v7.Is there any detailed documentation explaining the components? 

LM5576: Ripple issues

Hi team,

My customer is using LM5576 in their new project.

Could you kindly provide a solution to improve their ripple performance?

Please see picture1 for the original schematic.

They have measured the ripple voltage near the output voltage of the LM5576, and we see the value is about 1V which is much larger than their excepted 150mV.

Moreover, they even tried to place C1068 on PCB or change the value of L102 from 68uH to 33uH or 100uH, but all not worked.

Please give us any suggestion for fine-turn the ripple voltage.

BTW, output current is about 2A

TDA2EVM5777: Inference using the trained model with caffe-jacinto

Hi,

I am trying to run this command "python ./infer_video_object.py" from the guide here.

No error message was shown after the execution of this command.

However, when I looked into the output folder defined by "params.OpPath", the output video only had a frame in it without any inference, with a clean console_err.log.

Please help on this issue.

LM98725: CCD signal processor ZERO output code.

Hi,

I am facing a similar issue with the CCD signal processor device in bench setup.

I find the data output to have random dips to 0V as shown below.

The above plot shows the output voltage(calculated from code) vs number of samples captured.

Nearly 900 samples are at 0V out of 6000 samples captured. The rest of the samples are at the expected voltage.

Increasing the number of samples also didn't help.

The timing for the CLAMP and SAMPLE clocks are verified with the input signal.

Can you please help me this issue.

Hello,

We are setting up a lab for indexing accuracy testing for rotary tables ,We use Heidenhain RCN 2580 encoder for getting indexing values.We are looking for Interfacing card which can read endat 2.2 protocol and customized software to get the indexing values from the encoder,as we went along your products ,TI develops EnDat 2.2 interfacing cards and also provides controlsuite software ,We need to get more clarity on the above topic,We came across TIDM 1008 which is capable of reading heidenhain EnDat 2.2 ,So how can we use the above product to our application,or if we can get a better alternative solutions for  the above setup ,we would like to know.

I'm looking at the PCB layout guide for the TPS65950 (document swcu055a), and in Figure 3 I see a recommended scheme for pads with a trace between them, including a pad diameter of 220 um.  What's not clear is how large the soldermask opening should be.  My experience with fine-pitch BGAs such as this is that the pads would typically be soldermask-defined.  Is there an official recommended footprint for this package (ZXN)?  I can't find one on the TI website.

Customer asks if TI can offer high-voltage multiplexers to feed the piezo transducers in an ultrasonic flowmeter with a high voltage (50…200 Volts)?

High voltage is required to drive the transducers with thick titanium bodies for flowmeters with high pressure of medium in the pipe.

LM5170EVM-BIDIR: Normal boost operation not working

Hi,

Related to the previous question, I was trying to evaluate normal boost operation with an external control signal for voltage regulation. I have made all the changes as per previous post and discussions.

My voltage supply is set at 24V and the max current limit of 15A  and I am trying to run a 48V motor at no load (max. 5-8A). So basically, I want to boost 24V to 48V.

The LV side and HV side voltage are coming the same. As said earlier, the boost led is not glowing. Also, after turning ON I have checked the bias supply output at Pin 23,25 and 43 and the +3.3,+5 and+10V are not obtained at those pins. I have checked the voltage across C35 its only 1.1V. 

C35 = 0.4V

Pin25 =-1.1V

Hello everyone,

My aim is to be able to send and receive data from SCI B or SCI C by programming on MATLAB.

I want to use SCI B or SCI C which I can connect with simple jumper cables from GPIO 18-19 and GPIO 56-139. But I could not manage to get any communication signal from these ports. Only SCI A works but it is connected to the USB. I want to use SCI B and SCI C.

As far as I understand I need to change MUX to be able to use SCI B or SCI D. I do not know how to do that ?

Any help will be appreciated.

VIN=3.3V (VBIAS=3.3V)

VOUT=1.8V

TMS320C6455: EMIFA initialization error

Hi,

The customer test EMIFA example in CSL. And the program stuck in status = CSL_emifaHwSetup(hEmifa,&hwSetup). After stepping debugging, it was found that the programme stuck in 119 line (hEmifa->regs->AWCC =...) return error -1202 .

It is a custom board and he has verify the steps mentioned in csl_c6455\example\emifa\readme. The connection between fpga and dsp is correct.

Please help provide some suggestions to debugging further.

TMS320C6747: External Clock (Square Wave) input timing for OSCIN

Hi,

My customer is using C6747 on their custom board and their current design of power sequence looks like below.

The line in Magenta is external reference clock (Square Wave) input for OSCIN. This clock has been started during the power ramping (especially DVDD). Is this allowed configuration ?

The datasheet actually suggests that the clock should be stable after the power supplies ramping but I'm wondering if CVDD might be sufficient to accept OSCIN input (OSCIN clock should be from 1.2V domain on their custom board).

EK-TM4C1294XL: Debugger firmware

We have developed a custom board that uses the majority of the design on the EK-TM4C1294XL eval board, and we need to program the debugger chip (TM4C123GH6PM) so the main chip (TM4C1294NCPDTI3R) can be programmed through the USB port.  I haven't been able to find a binary for this chip.  Any help finding this?
