CDCLVP1204: buffering Sine Wave Using CDCLVP1204

Part Number: CDCLVP1204

Hi,

Can I use CDCLVP1204 to buffer 100MHz sine wave from OCXO?

We will be using the 100MHz sine wave from OCXO to drive Clk pins of LMK04832 but this 100Mhz will be coming from a long cable from a different board than which has LMK04832.

That is why we want to buffer 100MHz before connecting it to LMK04832.

Analog Devices has a buffer LTC6957 which can buffer sine wave.

Can CDCLVP1204 buffer sine wave?

Thanks,

Lalit

Hey All,

So I was using CCS 9.2.0 with mmWave SDK 03.01.00.02 , building the Medium range Radar lab from the Ti automotive lab 2.7.1 .

While building the mss file, I ran into this problem

The .bin file does not get generated ever. I'm following the same steps as given in the Developer Documentation of the Medium Range Radar Lab.

Is there anything i might be doing wrong?

Any help will be appreciated.

Dear Sir,

I am taking over the old project from my ex-workmate.  The project was developed by CC2530 and keeps working.

I need to study from zero.

Now, I can compile and download the demo code sampleLight and sampleSwitch to SamrtRF05, but I got the problem that there is no user guide tell me how to use it.

For example, in menu commission, how can I form the network by sampleLight (Co-oridinator) and make sampleSwitch (End device) to join the network?

Thanks

ADS1148: Wire Break detection while using Ratiometric measurment

Part Number: ADS1148

Hi Team,

If we choose to do ratiometric measurements what will be the effect of a wire break then?

Both the RTD signal and the reference voltage will/should converge to some value close to zero.

Will the conversion result in just any value in the overall range or will the ADC return some defined value if e.g. its reference voltage gets lower than some threshold?

Best regards

BQ40Z80: How to get gauge up and running?

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Hi there

We are currently working on a battery powered project. For this we used the bq40z80 fuel gauge to measure remaining capacity and also to protect the battery from overvoltage and undervoltage.

Our problem is that we cannot get the gauge to do anything. It doesn't respond to SMBus reads or writes(no ack) and it also doesn't open the protection FETs to allow the battery to be drained, even though the battery is fully charged. But of course we were unable to tell the bq40z80 the cutoff voltage levels because the SMBus connection is not working.

Can you please explain in more detail how to do the initial setup and please also explain how to program the levels using the bqStudio and ThumBus2300 SMBus adapter.

PS: I attached the circuit arround the bq40z80. Its nearly identical to the one of the EVM.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I am now in contact with the driver developer and we are trying to fix this issue.
On his system the driver is working fine with kernel 4.19. The strange thing on our board is this message:

What could be the reasons that a regulator cannot be set?

DDC264EVM: CUSTOM SOFTWARE ON WINDOWS TO PROGRAMM DDC264

$

Part Number: DDC264EVM

Hi,

tanks a lot for the DLL code we are able to write our personal GUI, in your code there was some bugs that we have fixed. During test however the EVM give an error and the application crash, after this error also your SOFTWARE is not able to write or read the board register, message is Error to writing/reading config Reg.

To unblock the board we need to press SW2 near the usb port connector of board and programm another time the FPGA and the DDC register.

if we launch the command to write the DDC264 register by ourself and despite we follow the istructions at letter:

2. Configuring DDC Registers:
First use XferINTDataOut() to send data to board and configure DDC register.
Since the function at a time writes to only one register, the function has to be executed for
multiple times to write to the below mentioned registers in FPGA. The first two digits represent
RegH & RegL and the last two digits represent DataH & DataL.
Data to be sent in sequence: 0000, 0000, 1100, 1200, 1C<DDC_High_Reg Value>,
1D<DDC_Low_Reg Value>, 1F01, 0000, 0000, 1E01

the boards are not able to collect correct data as if the command haven't effects.

if we launch the command to write the CFG REG of DDC264 from your software ( button under DCC264 register)  after that we have progammed the FPGA register with OUR Software the boards works again.

Moreover the HARD RESET OF DDC instructions says:

To Hard Reset the DDD device use XferINTDataOut() to send the following register values. The first two digits represent RegH & RegL and the last two digits represent DataH & DataL.
Data to be sent in sequence: 0000, 15FF, 15FF, 1500, 1500, 15FF, 15FF.

How is possible to pass to XferINTDataOut() function 7  pairs of 2 bytes ?? In the DLL the func is defined so: XferINTDataOut( int *USBdev, int *Data01, int *Data02, int *Data03, int *Data04)

We expect that the istruction to apply a reset passes an even number of pairs like the previous for write the register.

It's clear that there is some wrong info on document....can you provide us ONLY the code enclodes in the 2 buttons of your software HARD RESET DDC and WRITE CFG / VERIFY CFG to understand whats wrong in our software?

we are blocked again and in "terrificant late" to provide the data of test we must do with your board , we risk losing the contract.

thank you so much for any help to reach our goal.

Part Number: TPA2026D2

Hi,

Is dc voltage able to be obtained after the LC filter if inputting the dc signal to TPA2026D2 without the input capacitors Ci ?
I am considering to use TPA2026D2 like a DAC since TPA2026D2 doesn't have dc fault detection. Additionally, the output load isn't speakers.
Could you please give me your advice about it ?

Part Number: BQ76PL455A-Q1

Hello,

In an application where bq76PL455A-Q1 is used as battery cell voltage monitor is required to change the number of cell by the end user.

So, it is possible to short the unsed cells at connector level? Like in the picture below, (red line on cell 13) instead of what suggested (short at adc level, yellow line or Vsense13/14/15/16)?

Which are the draback of a similar approach? Increased error or possible damage?

 Thank you

BQ34Z100-G1: Losing I2C communication after golden image .srec file is programmed

$

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hi All,

I am having problems when I create a golden image after my learning cycle is complete, when I program a new device I instantly lose I2C comms with the device.

My setup includes the following:

  • Custom board based on the BQ34Z100-G1 EVM module.
  • BQ34Z100-G1 EVM Module for developing the golden file.
  • bqStudio 1.3.96
  • 12V 2200mAh 26.4Wh NiMH 10 cell battery pack

I can program and reprogram the bq34z100_G1_v0_16_build_17.srec file as many times as i like without any issue on both the custom boards and the EVM.

My problem occurs when using bqStudio to program using my attached golden file. When I program a custom board or the EVM I instantly lose comms and the device enters a confused state.

The program uploads correctly and i get the green tick and execute successfully completed message on screen, I do a restart and then there is no acknowledge from the device on any I2C address.

I have checked to see if it is in HDQ mode and it is not, from reading the forums it would suggest it is not exiting ROM mode but if this was the case i should be able to write or read to 0x16 but i can't.

I have manually entered all the data from the .gg file and can run a calibration and learning cycle but I can't do this for every device, I need to get a golden image working.

There was a mention of the last 3 lines in the .bq.fs file but these match the files generated from bq34z100G1FirmwareBundle-0.16-windows-installer.exe in sluc580 taken from the TI website.

I am sure there is a simple explanation for this but it is just not obvious to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Paddy

CC2650: Connectivity issues with zigbee

$

Part Number: CC2650

Hello

I am using the SampleSwitch application and I have encountered a problem with the connectivity of the devices. When a device is close to the limit of its range (indoors) and there are often connection and re-connection (meaning trying to find a parent, finds him, looses him and repeat) a case exist where it will disconnect from the network and wont connect again even if the link quality improves. My main culprit is that in the zstack core in ZDApp.c when waiting for authentication from trust center due to bad connectivity the device stays in DEV_END_DEVICE_UNAUTH and when it performs a ZDO_DEVICE_RESET it forces a new join. Is this theory correct or is it something else.

Thank you for your time.

Hello,

There is a spec as VIN DC input voltage in absolute maximum rating. I think this spec is for input pins so all input voltage must be in -0.5 to VCC+0.5V.

Does my understanding correct? Please let me confirm this meaning.

Part Number: CDCM6208V2EVM

Dear TI,

I am working from the book: PLL Performance , Simulation and design 5th Edition by Dean Banerjee.

I am trying to replicate the phase noise calculations from chapter 27 for the CDCM6208V2.

However I am missing some device specific values that are required for the calculations.

Specifically:

PN1Hz and PN10Hz.

VCO_1k Hz, VCO_10kHz, VCO_FLR

OR the n3,n2,n0 values would work also.

Do you have these values for the CDCM6208V2

  Kind Regards,

Shadi
