ADS1235: ADS1235

Part Number: ADS1235

Hi

I have some additional questions to the thread of the ADS1235 (pin assign at Single-ended-input).
That means to use AIN1..5 as single-ended inputs I have to connect e.g. +2.5V (mid range voltage) on AIN0, why should I not connect GND (AVSS) to AIN0? If I create the +2.5V reference on AIN0 by a resistor divider between AVDD and AVSS, do I have the same issues as I use the internal Vcom as reference?
Converting a ground referenced 0..+5V signal on AIN1 with a +2.5V reference on AIN0 end up in positive/negative converted digital data, right?

Summarized, what is the best and easiest way to use AIN1..5 as ground referenced inputs (0..+5V)?

Best Regards
Oliver

Product, tool & software alerts not working

Hi,

Not shure if I'm right here with my problem. But I try anyway as no one from TI could help so far.

History:
Until December 2018 I got Email alerts from TI almost every week. Then receiving them stopped around the 2nd of December 2018. I was already in contact with EPIC and the local TI office because of this problem.
They changed something in my TI profile and then suddenly I received an Email alert at the March 31, 2019. But that was the last one I got so far. Since then lots of datasheets and other documents changed but I got no Email alert.

So the problem is still not solved. For us it is very important to get those information.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Thanks and best regards,

Patrick

AM3354: Kernel hangs when USB is used

Part Number: AM3354

Hi all.

We have RTSP server based on AM3354.

Linux kernel:  5.12, booting from nand.

Build environment: Yocto, Poky Warrior.

Video source: webcam connected to usb (v4l2, python-gst-1.0)

Issue: after couple of hour (not predictible) linux get into freez state( cpu usage 0.0%, memory usage normal, no any logs, no any messages, all processes stucked), nothing can be done with os, just reboot left.

After weeks of searching and testing, we think it can be related with usb usage. When usb webcam is not used (fake videotestsrc from gestreamer) linux working properly and not hanging at all, rtsp server streaming stable. The same situation was with linux kernel 4.19, Yocto Poky Morty.

My question is, can someone look into my DTB file, especially in usb related part and maybe point me to some issue?
I am newbie in embedded linux.

Thanks.

TMS320F280049: Flash security

Part Number: TMS320F280049

I’m still not confident that I understood everything that is on the Technical Manual.

Our main requirement for security is relatively simple:

  1. Flash memory is protected against un-authorized readout
  2. We need to be able to “disable” security so that we can debug and step-through code when we need to debug issues

In the F2803x family, this was relatively easy:

  1. Write 0x0000 to CSM_RSVD locations (starting from 0x3F7F80)

  1. Write PASSWORD (128-bit) to CSM_PWL_P0 locations (starting from 0x3F7FF8)

  1. In the main() function, we “lock” the DSP by calling CsmLock() which is a function already defined in DSP2803x_SysCtrl.c.  If we want to debug, then we simply comment-out and not call CsmLock()

The info provided in SPRUI33C is quite detailed but unfortunately not very clear for me.

Do you have a document that explains better the steps to enable security and also to disable it?  Maybe a code example will help.

I’m trying to be cautious here because I don’t want to lock the DSP and end up locking it forever.  We have a few board available but not a lot.

Regards Bernd

TPS92601-Q1: TPS9260x Reference Schematic with SEPIC application

Part Number: TPS92601-Q1

(This question was already asked here, but was either answered offline or not answered.)

I am also investigating a SEPIC solution for the TPS9201-Q1, and would be very interested in any reference schematic. For my particular use case, Vin = 9V to 38V, Vout = 30V, Iout = 1A (reduced with Vin < 18V).

I'd also love a sentence or two explaining the necessity of the second power diode in the SEPIC schematic in the part data sheet.

Hello friends!

Hi!

We are having problems with the PGA900. We can't connect OWI. All are doing everything according to the description, but no entrance to the interruption of OWI.

OWI initialization code:

...
//***********************OWI*****************************
   SET_B(DIG_IF_CTRL, OWI_ENABLE|OWI_DEGLITCH_FILTER_10MS);        //include OWI
   DLPWR = OWI_CLK_EN;
   WriteReg(OWI_INTERRUPT_ENABLE, OWI_INT_ENABLE);
   WriteReg(OWI_INTERRUPT, OWI_INTERRUPT_ACTIVE);
   WriteReg(COM_RX_INT_ENABLE,COMBUF_RXRDY_INT_ENABLE);
//***********************OWI*****************************
...
    WriteReg(IPR0, 0xC0C0C0C0);                   //enable interrupts (global)
    WriteReg(IPR1, 0xC0C0C0C0);
    WriteReg(ISER, 0xffffffff);
...

Code in OWI interrupt:

void OwiInterSv(void)
{
    WriteReg(OWI_INTERRUPT, OWI_INTERRUPT_ACTIVE);
    SET_B(DIG_IF_CTRL, OWI_ENABLE|OWI_TRANSCEIVER_ENABLE);                    //the OWI transceiver on

}

The food is served momentum as in the description, the waveform I enclose in the attachment. Don't understand where is the error.

Can you help?

Part Number: AM5728

Hi

We are working on a beagleBoard x15  around AM5728 (based on processor sdk 06.01)

video-graphics-test example not work on beagleboard x15.

The program runs without errors. But there is no camera image on the screen. Checking the program shows that the following code is not working properly.

//Secure DSS hardware planes for overlay from QT QPA
for(uint32_t i = 0; i < m_num_planes; i++){
    m_plane_id[i] = m_qpa_ctl->m_create_plane(m_screen);
}

The return plan number is 4294967295. That doesn't look like an correct number.

Would you please shed some light on why this does not work?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Esmaill

1. reg configre : uiADS1120_WrBuff[4] = { 0x08, 0xC1, 0xC5, 0x80};  circuit is figure 79 in datasheet.

2. my code as follow:

int ADS1220ReadData(void)//TFQ改
{
   int Data;
   u8 TempData;
   /* assert CS to start transfer */
   ADS1220AssertCS(1);
   Delay_us(20);        //  之前是10us
   /* send the command byte */
   TempData = SPI2_ReadWriteByte(ADS1220_CMD_RDATA);
   /* get the conversion result */
    // ADS1120
   Data = SPI2_ReadWriteByte(0xff);
   Data = (Data << 8) | SPI2_ReadWriteByte(0xff);
   /* sign extend data */
   if (Data & 0x8000)
      Data |= 0xffff0000;
   Delay_us(20);                //houjia
   /* de-assert CS */
   ADS1220AssertCS(0);
   return Data;
}

3. read reg value  is  equal write value. but,when i modified the reg0 0xe8, the adcputput is not near zero, it's a 1300.

connect sensor, the ADC value is 2103, when change the sensor state, the adc value is changed .it looks like plus a offset in the input port.

Hi all

My customer finds no information on ti.com for theTCA1116, the link is broken.

Can you provide the full Datasheet and reestablish the product landing page ?

Referring to another post I see the TCA9539 is pin-compatible, nevertheless we should document theTCA1116 as well on the Web.

What's the difference between SoC TDA2P-ABZ and TDA2SX?

Hi,

     I want to get the difference between SoC TDA2P-ABZ and TDA2SX, now  I get a excel comparation doc. from link: http://www.ti.com/solution/surround-view-system-ecu.   You can refer to the attachment. from this gernerated excel, there is no "co-processor(s)" and “DRAM” data, but when I refer to the TDA2P-ABZ datasheet, I find dual co-processers in TDA2P-ABZ, so I want the true difference between them!

LM76003: LM76003 quiescent current is too big in light load mode

Part Number: LM76003

Hi

Customer feedback the quiescent current is too big in light load mode.

 Vin: 12V, current:17mA

Vout: 5V, loading is 5V/4mA

Switching frequency is 2,1MHz

As we can see from below curve, the efficiency is around 85% in 12Vin/5Vout/4mA condition.

5Vout*4mA=0.002W/85%=0.023W_pin/12Vin=0.0019A (1.9mA) but customer get 17mA on Vin.

so that is make sense?

Part Number: TS5A23166

Dear Technical Support Team,

TS5A23116 has a Isolation in Powered-Down Mode(V+=0) and following E2E post shows the detail of isolation related to the leak spec.

So TS5A23116  can input the signal to NO1ⅴNO2 during V+=0.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/switches-multiplexers/f/388/p/835338/3094933?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=yuyama#3094933

Is there any specification about ramp up time(like Δt/ΔVof logic device(ioff) ) of supplying voltage to keep Hi-z.

Then I think IN1/IN2 should be L (OFF) to keep Hi-z.

Part Number: CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL

Hi,

I want to burn the firmware of CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL through JTAG_IN.

I remove the J3 jumpers including RST, TMS, TCK, TDI and TDO for CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL

And take another TI LaunchPad (CC1310_LAUNCHXL) and configure it as XDS110-Base JTAG emulator (by removing all the jumpers on it).

and connect the "XDS110_OUT" of CC1310_LAUNCHXL and the "JTAG_IN" of  CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL.

I plug USB power into the CC1310_LAUNCHXL and I want to burn the firmware of CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL by UniFlash tool.

Why the auto detected devices is CC1310 but not CC3220SF.

What should I do?

And is there any problem for my jumpers setting (refer to the following figure)?

Yellow frame: Jumpers not populated. (removed)

Blue frame: Jumpers populated.

thanks.
