OPT8241: -CDK-EVM Firmware

Hello,

we are currently working on a new prototype using the OPT8241-CDK-EVM. After we tried to transfer a camera profile including Pixel-Wise calibration Data to the EVM, no connection can be established between the device and the Voxel Viewer (0.9.10) anymore.

* If the EVM module is connected to the host before starting the Voxel Viewer, the Voxel-Viewer software crashes at startup.
* If the Voxel-Viewer software is started first, then the EVM is connected, the module appears in the device selection list. If this module is selected and confirmed by a click on "Ok", the Voxel-Viewer crashes.
* There are no entries in the Voxel-Viewers log file

The OPT9221 firmware has been already flashed to 0.31 (the "Voxel-programmer" is still working). We suspect that the CDK-FX2 firmware has to be renewed/updated. Where can we get it? Are there any other measures we can take?

I have an additional query about the functionality. Is it possible to run the Bluetooth Classic SPP and the BLE GATT functionality concurrently? I’m thinking of a scenario where the CC2564 would form a Classic-to-BLE bridge.

 the concurrent use of BLE and the Classic SPP protocol on the CC2564- It’s something we’re interested in as part of our upgrade path from older devices.

My customer find too big LED curent ripple using TPS61196, Current test at J6 total 3channel ,Vout also have ripple, and SW frequency seems not setted 200K.

I haven't find inproper in SCH except check COMP pin parameter, do you have some advise?

ADC12D1600: Test Pattern

Hi team,

Customers use PIN mode to control ADC12D1600, In Demux Mode, Non-DES Mode, power-on calibration, use test pattern, according to the datasheet description, test pattern will have a continuous 010. Now the data DI captured by customer in the FPGA FEF is two cycles, 010 is three cycles, and 010 does not appear twice the cycle of FEF. The timing constraints meet the requirements. What may be the problem?

Hello TI's colleague:

  We currently use a pair of 947/948 and a pair of 949/948;

There are 2 questions, I would like to ask:

1, 949/948, can output 1920x720p60, can not output 1920x1080p60, can only output 30fps for 1080p;

2, separately output a pair of 947/948 1920x720p60 normal, while outputting a pair of 947/948 and a pair of 949/948,

there is interference between the two, can not simultaneously output 60fps, can only reduce the frame rate to 30 or less There is a display, and the i2c data reading is abnormal;

Please ask, what is the cause of these two problems, how can we solve it?

Regarding FMECA analysis in power supply:
Looking at the TPS54340B diagram if there is a failure with one of the feedback resistors connected to FB then the Output VOUT reaches the Input level VIN:

What do we advise in general to prevent such scenario?
Are there some simple change to implement that could decrease the risks?

Hi,
I have a battery on pin VBAT and an external 32.768kHz crystal.

I want to generate a system time that gives me the current time in milliseconds even when the supply voltage is off.

Currently I use the function time (NULL). This feature only gives me the time in seconds.

How can I realize a real-time clock powered by the 32,768 crystal and continue to run when the supply voltage is turned off.

Datasheet Fig 20 mentioned snubber circuit is placed after FB and C.

SN75DP159: Violate VCC/VDD Power-Up Timing

My customer measured the power up timing of VDD and VCC. They found that sometimes Td1 is less than 200us. 

The reason is that LDO TLV75511PDQNR has 550 us (typ) startup time. 

We want to know what is the side effect if the power-up timing doesn't meet this spec?

Currently my client is developing ip cam using tps23861 and tps23754.

There were three customer inquiries

We would like to apply tps23861-tps23754 x 2(parallel).

One TPS23754 is continuously connected.

The connection of the second TPS23754 is then different.


1) Is TPS23861 automatically negotiated and changed in the above situation? (POE +-> POE, POE-> POE +)

2) How do you monitor PSE from the PD side?

3) In order to connect 2 IP CAMs, we want to configure as below due to length problem. Is it possible?

We are planning to do some example check using CCS on TDA4 EVM board.

I follow the CCS Setup steps in "Processor SDK RTOS Automotive User Guide".

When I do the action in step 4, execute the load command in the scripting console.

It always failed and stuck at  Running the board configuration initialization from R5!

The error message is :

TDA3LA: EMI/other impacts when JTAG TMS ball is floating

Hi Champs,

in a single camera design the JTAG port used to be routed to a connector as its is meant to be. However, for production the connector will not be populated. The TMS ball J3 from TDA3LA ABF package is not pulled but kept floating. 

Can you please state whether the ball J3 is going to float or whether the ball will cause EMI issues?

The ball offers internal pull up/down options. May those help to avoid possible risk?
