BQ25710: both low side MOSFETs turn-on at the same time

Hi Team,

May i have your help to know why bq25710 turns on both low side MOSFETs at the same time?

We saw this behavior happened at VIN=20V and VOUT=12V, but this behavior would be gone if the system loading is a steady current.

CH1: Vsys, CH2:SW1(buck side), CH3;SW2(boost side), CH4: Input current.

Dear e2e community,

We recently read and performed the steps described in the Processor SDK RTOS Software Developer’s Guide paragraph 3.5.1 Uniflash to flash and image on an AMIC110 (TMDXICE110 board) using an XDS200 JTAG connection first to load the flash writer.

In the first step of this procedure (the loading of the flash programmer via JTAG) it is requested to provide the core number (option -n)  and for the AMIC110 this number is provided in the example code as 1.

Since we are planing to move to a different processor family AM437x I have two questions:

Is this core number the number of cores present or is it an id for the core where the program is loaded?

If it is an id, where can we find this number for a different processor family (in our case AM437x)?

The chip I chose now is TMS320F28054MPNT, but this chip is a dual-motor-driven chip. The size is slightly larger. Is there a chip that is flat in performance and has less pins and smaller packages? External CAN, internal integrated operational amplifiers and internal integrated algorithms are required.

"I am using the SafeTI Hercules Diagnostics Library (V.2.4.0) in my project, according to your last Release Note from 28.Nov.2017, the Safety Library (V.2.4.0) still has opened issues, listed in Paragraph 4.

is some of these issues are closed? or if there is any new issues added to the list of Known issues?

Hi,I noticed interesting situation with default register values: when you download default firmware for IC, or watch in Technical Reference Manual's (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluubu5a/sluubu5a.pdf , you see, that register's default value is one number. if you watch it in other place, it's other.

As example: 16.16.1.3 Initial Battery Mode :

According to table, Default  value is 0x0081.

IF we compose this value using separate bit description (i.e. CHGM (Bit14) description says, that default value is 1 for it) , then register defaults value is: 0b0100 0000 0000 0000 binary, or, 0x4000  hexadecimal.
(see attached pic)

Such issue I've noticed in many registers.
Could you, please, clarify, whether it's my misunderstanding, or documentation problem?

WEBENCH® Tools/TPS544B25: Unable to find crossover frequency from Bode plot

I want to use TPS544B25RVFR part in one of our internal applications. As to get familiar with the part we started running simulations using TI Webench power designer. Our requirement is to generate 1V @ 15A current from 12V input. With this specification when we ran AC analysis a Bode plot showing unrelated magnitude and Phase curves (Magnitude curve not crossing 0dB) through which we couldn't find crossover frequency, Gain margin etc.
Surprisingly, this is not the case with TPS544C25RVFR which has given some expected data.
Here, i am attaching Bode plot with both cases, can yo  u please help us to get a better picture over them?

Compiler/LAUNCHXL-TMS57004: Using the SPI2nCS[0] as an GPIO

Hello,

I would like to use the SPI2nCS[0] as an GPIO.

In the documentation of the launch pad it is written that this could be done, but I don't know how to adress the pin.

For example the GIOA Pins I can adress with the registers gioPORTA->DIR to set the direction of the pin and gioPORTA->DOUT to set the value of the pin.

How can I achieve that with the SPI2nCS[0] pin?

ADS7951: GPIO0 Port config after Power Up

"We use the above mentioned component as QFN package in a project. Only GPIO0 port exists.
We want to use this port in our application for certain purposes.
From the data sheet I can't figure out how the port is configured after the power up sequence (input or output, if output which state is low or high?)."

CC1352R: Advertisements packets are often double sent after advertisements are disabled and re-enabled. ble5_simple_peripheral_oad_offchip_cc13x2r1lp_app_sysconfig has the problem.

I observed this problem with my custom dmm based 15.4/BLE project, and decided to see if I could get it to happen in the stock example projects.

I am using SDK simplelink_cc13x2_26x2_sdk_3_20_00_68

To reproduce the problem, fire up the example, and let it advertise. It appears that during the initial advertising, everything works as designed. However, once advertising stops, you can re-start it by pressing a button on the launchpad. At this point, you'll observe that a fair number of the advertising packets are double sent, as shown in this wireShark capture:

Wireshark in this case is set to listen only to channel 38.  The advertising is supposed to be nominally 100 mS. But you can see plenty of cases where advertisements are sent much faster than that. For example, not the highlighted line, it is (I think) a re-send of the previous packet. Inspection of the packet contents reveals that they are identical.

Any idea what might be going on? We did not observe this problem with the previous 2.40 sdk.

Hello, 

I need to arrange Windows (10) environment for OMAP-L138 DSP side.

I tried to install CCS v9.01 and got the below errors while installing the suggested updates.

Besides I will need DSP/BIOS or SYS/BIOS and I did not find clear instructions on what and how to install.

Could you please let me know if the errors are the real issues and also prompt for DSP/BIOS or SYS/BIOS installations steps?

tas5766m.c driver does not compile with recent linux kernels

I tried to compile the basic tas5766m.c driver. It does not compile with kernel version 4.14.98.

Please fix it, and then do the work needed to upstream it. When it's upstreamed you get help from the Linux community in maintaining it and making sure it continues to compile with future kernel versions.

CCS/TIDA-00637: posted source code does not compile with CCS v9.1 - but does work with CCS v6.1.3

This source code only builds using CCS v6.1.3

It does not build with CCS v9.1

Is it possible to repost this code with the corrections needed to be compatible with the current release of CCS or if someone can provide guidance of necessary changes?

"I'm using MAX3232 with 5V supply. It consumes a lot of power when idle (about 2mA). I can't find how to reduce the current in the data sheet."

Is there a common mistake that might be the cause for this?

I was trying to understand wich can be the best , but right now I´m wondering the pros and cons.

I want to control a heavy duty drone

I´m Using 300A mosfets and it can be powered with 60V. It works righ now and I´m controlling Velocity or Current with pwm signal, but  I can´t understand wich can be the best option and why.

I´m using f28027f Mcu without the DVR-XXXX, I´m 3x using gate drivers IC, one per half-bridge
