CCS/TPS23880: Can not read the SRAM version after loading frimware of TPS23880

We use TPS23880 to design the single port PSE with IEEE802.3bt.We have gotten the frimware of TPS23880 from TI website.

After setuping the TPS23881_SRAM_CODE_v02_Windows.exe,we got the two bits files(TPS23881_SRAM_v02.bits and TPS23881_PARITY_v02.bits).

After burn the bits file into the MCU(STC8F2K16S2),the program can not be run and the SRAM version(address:0x41) is 0xff by reading the register of TPS23880.

We think the SRAM version should not be 0xff,there must be something wrong with the operation process.

Could you help to analysis where is wrong?Does it need to modify some data in SRAM before burning the bits file?

Hi there,

Could you please give comments about the question from our customer below?

1.TUSB211 does not need to disconnect the USB cable when doing SI redriver. This shows that the TUSB211 compensates the USB bus in a certain way. Which part of the bus does the TUSB211 mainly compensate?
2. TUSB211 is hung on the bus. Strictly speaking, it increases the load of the bus. How to adjust the SI bus because of the excessive capacitance load?
3. What is the difference between TUSB211 and TUSB213?
4. In the picture below, the first half of the eye is pressed down and the second half is normal. What is the cause of this phenomenon?


 
5. When the eye diagram is divergent, can the TUSB211 function to close the divergent waveform (as shown below)?

We have some questions about LM3643 as listed below, would you share your inputs?  Thanks!

  1. If oe only need FLASH function but don't need Torch function, how should we connect Torch/Temp pin and STROBE pin?
  2. How should we connect TX pin if we don't need related function?
  3. Should we use a GPIO to control HWEN and drive it high before we control flash light via I2C?
  4. Is I2C address the only difference between LM3643 and LM3643A?

HwiHdr execute twice in a single interrupt (GPIO).

Hi Team,

I'm interested in TL720M05-Q1 for external sensor power supply.

According to the datasheet, this device has over temp protection feature but there is no description of the feature.

Could you tell me its threshold temp and turn off time from the OT detection?

I want to make sure that TL720M05-Q1 can not get damaged at output short condition.

CC3220MODA: Programming via UART

Dear TI-Team,

so we've created a custom board for CC3220MODA. To keep things simple, we want to use AT firmware.

The datasheet is frankly speaking a bit confusing regarding the required pins (eg I didn't get the "default" pin function concerning table 4-4).

So I followed the note in schematic fig 7-1 and I thought I wired out as much UART pins as possible:

Now the board arrived and I want to flash the AT command firmware. Admittedly, I've only checked SWRA568 now and it looks like it's too late: pins 55 (UART1 TX) and 57 (UART1 RX) as stated in datasheet 5.3 are not connected for my board because aforementioned datasheet schematic says they should be connected to ground.

Please help, is it even possible now to flash the mod via UART? And what can I change for next revision?

And just to confirm the basic functionality: for SOP2=1, SOP1=0, SOP0=0 I see about 40uA average at 3.45V. Does that look reasonable?

BQ40Z50 gauge IC has several versions, like BQ40Z50, BQ40Z50_R1 and BQ40Z50_R2.

is there any document to state the difference among them?

Currently, we are going to use BQ40Z50_r2. but the reference use BQ40Z50.

we need to know the differene to evaluate the sw effort on this change.

Hi,

Can you please confirm the component U304 used in the circuit is LP2986AIMM-3.3/NOPB. The pitch mentioned in the gerber is 0.65mm which is for the SSOP Package ICs only. But no SSOP packages are available for LP2986 ICs .Only SIOC ,VSSOP and WSON  are the available packages. Can we use VSSOP Package LP2986AIMM-3.3/NOPB as U304 for the same footprint.

Hello, I'm trying to adapt an existing example from the RTOS SDK (drv/gpio/test/led_blink) and I want to create an additional task. My question is , gpioLedBlinkTest_r5_per5f.c is generated using gpioLedBlinkTest_r5_per5f.cfg or is it manually configured. If it's generated is there a tool available for this?

Hi Sir,

Regarding FRAM2: Does 100% usage of FRAM2, will cause any inconsistency in MSP430FR5969 MCU. And to know about how the code is split to FRAM and FRAM2.(Case Study: I have deleted some functions in FRAM2. At that time, the remaining function in FRAM2 gets allocated to FRAM)  If I want to put the function in FRAM from FRAM2, what are all the steps to be done?

Hi

I use a camera connect to TDA3x

I want to use the capture to upsample  the in steam. But is failed 

I set the capture_out_width and capture_out_height is 2x than the capture_in_width and capture_in_height

But the display image is wrong like that

Than I set the capture_out_width and capture_out_height is 1/2x than the capture_in_width and capture_in_height

The image is ok.

I read the code ,than same define like this

Is than mean. The vip scaler  do not support upsample ?????

BOOSTXL-AOA: Measurements and future developments

Hi,

I have been working on AoA application since I would use in our products. After some trials and measurements, I would submit some questions:

  1. I have measured performance on full 360° circle. As declared, the system responds within a range of [-100° +100°]. Out of this range, the systems returns random values. How could I filter these values? I mean, how could I understand the tag is on the back of the BOOSTXL and to not believe the tag is in front of antennas?

  2. Currently the system works by using a RTLS Master to exchange parameters. Is it possible to save parameters in SLAVE and PASSIVE firmwares and to not use the RTLS Master, so to have only two boards in my system?

  3. I knew a new SDK with AoA and ToF is being released. Do you have any updates or releasing date for this SDK?

BQ24170: TI EVM not passing EMC, need assistance selecting values for BTST and snubber C11/R12

Hello,

I have a customer whose design uses the BQ24170 and when enabled is caused EMC issues.  When comparing the EMC test resuts to those of the EVM by itself you can see they both fail in the same frequencies with the dominate fail at the Fsw ~1.6MHz.  The EVM has places for BTST and snubber but we are looking for guidance on what values to use in TI EVM to reduce the radiation so that a similar solution can be used on the customer design.  Please advise.

Hello,

I am in the process of evaluating the ADS1262EVM-PDK.   I changed the supplied LabView code to allow streaming the data for longer data collections.   The LabView functions make calls to some lower level code which TI does not appear to provide the source for.   I started running a controlled temperature stability test, holding the temperature constant while monitoring the evaluation board.   What I am seeing is steps in values that are reported.  

If I had to guess, it appears that the underlying code that I don't seem to have the source for, may monitor the IC's temperature and run some sort of calibration if the temperature changes by some amount. 

Is it possible that this question could be passed onto the group that developed the lower level code and see if they could confirm what I am seeing.   It's not a problem if this is what is happening.  I just want to understand why it is behaving this way.
