LMV331-Q1: Failure mode analysis

Part Number:LMV331-Q1

Hi team,

We want to know the expected failure mode of LMV331-Q1 and LMV393-Q1.

We are particularly concerned about whether there is a failure mode that can lead to fire hazards.

Could you provide me any information for failure mode?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

MSP430F5438A: UART problem

Part Number:MSP430F5438A

Hi Team,

I have several serial port problems:
1.An interrupt occurred when the GIE was turned off. When the GIE is re-enabled, is the interrupt responded or lost?
2.I also use four serial ports at the same time. In order to ensure the communication quality, how do I manage them at the code level?
3.How to calculate these parameters when BRCLK = 4MHz and baid = 9600bps? According to the manual, I can only calculate N, and I don't know how to deal with the decimal part.
param.clockPrescalar = ?;
param.firstModReg = ?;
param.secondModReg = ?;
param.overSampling = ?;

PGA460: PGA460

Part Number:PGA460

Hi,

I see in this forum that to get a short range detection for the couple (US transducer + PG460) we must use high frequency trandsducers (example 200KHz).

Our robotics application needs to get a minimum distance of 10cm (or less if possible) and maxi distance of 1meter  so no problem to use high frequency trandsducer (mono-static and sealed transducer)

but I read elsewhere that when we use ultrsounds greater than the traditionnal 40KHz, the ultrasounds behave differently: the propagation is more like light sensors with a lot of reflections and US detection is less reliable.

Could you tell me if there are differences (in term of detection, target dimensions, materials detected, ...)  between US 40KHz and US 200KHz   ?

regards,

Bernard

TMS320F 28069 based launchpad + DRV8301 based bundle. Launch pad microcontroller Ic got over heated and stopped working.

Part Number: Launch-XL TMS320F28069MPZT

Dear Sir,

I have been using this launch pad XL with DRV 8301 boards almost 2 months to develop my application.

Yesterday suddenly, the chip got overheated up and started giving trouble. And atlast all the LED s are shut off. Iniitally i checked only with the board by powering through USB cable suspecting the USB powering strength..

Afterwards, I used drv 8301 where there is a DC supply powering the base board. There also similar response.

IT was a new board.  felt very bad for loosing the board. Hence wanted to replace the microcontroller IC and give life to the board; But surprisingly , the chip present  was TMS 320F 28069 MPZT for which the part number shows the temperature grade as (0, 0 ) what it means?  IS it not above industrial grade ? is it commercial grade? Why it should go bad?

I have placed an order to buy the chip and replace. But you clarify me the grade of temperature of the IC? and also assure me will it work??

And pl indicate what are the extra care ti be taken in order not to loose the chips in future.

Your quick reply will enable us to replace and give life and continue my project.

Thanking you

REgards,

Sundari

ADS122C04: common mode voltage

Part Number:ADS122C04

Hi everyone,

Question 1: The question is about Fugure 44 in the datasheet. If the input common mode of the ADS122C04 drifts out of the mid supply and is gained by the PGA to a not allowed voltage level, what behavior would the ADC show on the output? Does the ADC recognize the issue or does it cut the voltage on the supply rail? Please find attached a modified figure of this scenario

Question 2: we want to measure small currents through a shunt resistor. But there could also appear higher currents through the shunt in this application. This would cause a voltage drop, which could be higher than AVDD or lower than AVSS. What needs to be considered in this case? Are the internal clamping diodes designed for that or need external diodes? Point 9.2.1.2 also mentions series resistances.

Thak you in advance!

Regards, Alen

ISOW7841: About safty standards

Part Number:ISOW7841

Hello support team,

I have some questions about safety standards of ISOW784x series.

Our customer is considering whether to use ISOW7841 as a replacement for photocouplers.
The customer hopes that ISOW7841 satisfies the standards that is equivalent to the photocoupler safety standard IEC60747-5-5.

[Question]
1. Does ISOW784x satisfy the standard equivalent to IEC 60747-5-5?
2. If so, what is the standard number?

Sincerely,
M. Tachibana

CC2530: AF_REGISTER failure

Part Number:CC2530

Hi,

Our coordinator reset (over the MT interface) consists of the following steps:

  1. Hard resetting the coordinator using the RS pin
  2. Set channel and PAN ID using ZB_WRITE_CONFIGURATION
  3. SYS_RESET_REQ with type = 1
  4. AF_REGISTER
  5. SAPI_REGISTER
  6. ZB_START_REQ

NOTE: The system waits for the confirmation indication after every step before proceeding to the next

This morning, once, AF_REGISTER returned 0x7D. I looked through the coordinator ZNP firmware for that returned code, but I could not find any result.

What does response code 0x7D mean of AF_REGISTER

Hi TI

The DSP chip which can support AEC/NS related voice processing is used in communication products.

It is hoped that there will be no echo and echo cancellation in the calls, and the full-duplex calls will not be interrupted.

What is the suitable DSP recommendation?

Thank you.

Hi team,

Is there any timing requirement when the TPS40210 is used with the external clock sync  ?

Normally, there should be specifications for the pulldown/pullup pulse minimum timing.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Basic sample application circuit?

Part Number:PCM1863

HI,

I'm trying to get a response from the 1863 control interface from an ESP32 talking SPI I get no response from the chip. I think I must be completely not understanding how to wire up this chip.

Currently I have IOVDD/AVDD/DVDD tied to 3.3v.  AGND/GND are tied to GND. There is a 12mhz crystal on XO/Xi. M0 has a 10k pull-up to 3.3v. The SPI pines (MS/MC/MISO/MOSI) are connected to my micro-controller. SCLKI/BCLK/LRCLK/DOUT are all floating.

Is that a sane configuration?

Also,

  (a) Are there any example basic application circuit for a PCM1863 being run by a general purpose microcontroller? Preferably with source code?

  (b) Will the PCM1863 respond on SPI if nothing is connected to the I2S channel?

Thanks,

Albert

Part Number:TIDM-1000

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello!I have a question about firmware of the TIDM-10000(pfc3phvienna_F2837x). In main.cfg file of the 59 line, the variable "Kit.Fctrl" ,what is the function of a  Kit.Fctrl?  Is Kit.Fctrl the frequency of the input voltage?

If my point is correct,if the frequency of the input voltage is 50HZ, Kit.Fctrl=50, if the frequency of the input voltage is 60HZ, Kit.Fctrl=60,I don't need to modify other parameters, just modify this parameter.;if it is

possible,Only consider the software level,Can the input voltage be 400HZ?

ADS1299-4: an external clock other than 2.048MHz can be used for ADS1299-4?

Part Number:ADS1299-4

Hello, TI experts

2.048MHz clock is not easy generated on our design. But 4.096MHz or 8.192MHz is easier for me, what about the noise performance if these clocks used for ADS1299?

Best Regards

Yang
