BQ28Z610: Chemistry ID selection

$

Part Number:BQ28Z610

Hello.

I've a 2s2p battery consist of 4x HTCF26650-3200mAh-3.2V LiFePo4. I also made battery charge/discharge/relax test and got a report from Chemical ID SelectionTool.

In the report I can't find ChemistryID of my cell (there are 2 or 3 chemistry with name HTCF26650 3200mAh). How could this happen?

And best chemical ID has DOD deviation ~8%. This max error looks too high. Is it normal to use such chemistry?

Thanks a lot.

ISOW7821: Step down recommendation and short circuit maximum current

Part Number:ISOW7821

Hello team,

my customer is planning to use the ISOW7821 in their new design but are struggling to find a good step down converter that could provide the 5V to the ISOW7821.

Do you have any recommendation? Maybe you have already seen some of the most popular buck used in combo with this device. As a first choice we are thinking of using the TPS560200 but if you have any suggestion, please let me know. If not, I'll try to ask on the power  management forum starting from the specs required by the ISOW.

Also, the ISOW7821 is protected against short-circuit at the output but the maximum DC current is not shown: for 5V -> 5V application I find in the DS an indication of a typical DC current of 137mA (but not exactly the maximum).
         I ask you if there is a maximum current data or if it is more appropriate for me to have a limitation on the primary (Vcc side of ISOW7821); in case I thought of using a TL331 comparator with input shunt, hysteresis and output driving the Enable of the TPS560200.

Please let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions.

Thank you and best regards,

Adrian

TLV320DAC3100: Using CC3220 I2S application with Audio DACs

Part Number:TLV320DAC3100

Hi, guys. The TI's Wi-Fi CC3220 has this feature; McASP Supports Two I2S Channels

Thanks to TI's example code for I2S, I was looking for a audio DAC which supports I2S to play WAV files.

I'm new with audio DACs and I have some questions, please.

I'm trying to stream WAV files via Wi-Fi and play this using TI's audio DAC products. WAV files can be MONO or STEREO.

Instead of using the 3.5mm headphone jack, I'm thinking of using a SMT speaker because I have to create a custom PCB.

So I wish to test with these SMT speakers.

SMS-2008MS-R Resonant frequency 850Hz, 0.8W, 8 Ohms
SW200908-1 900Hz 1.5W 90dBA 8 Ohm

SM150808-8 850Hz, 1W, 8 Ohm

Additionally, this PCB will be using micro USB 5V power supply.

Q0. Considering the USB 5V supply and WAV file streaming applications,

what should I choose;

TLV320DAC3100

TLV320DAC32

?

Q1. I don't know which to choose;

TLV320DAC3100

TLV320DAC32

First of all, will these audio DAC work with CC3220's I2S for playing WAV files?

Q2. I'm just trying to play WAV files with one SMT speaker. Do those speaker will work with these

chips?

MSP432E401Y: Execution Getting Stuck on a single task of application containing two tasks

Part Number:MSP432E401Y

Hi

I am new to FREE RTOS, learning it using MSP432E401Y.

I just tried to execute a code containing two tasks, first task prints "Task1" on the console and the second one prints "Task2".

I build it without any error. When I ran it only "TASK1" is getting printed on the console continuously. The execution gets stuck in the first task function and does go to the second task.

What are the possible reasons for it and how can I fix it?

I have given equal priority to both tasks.

Moreover, if I give a higher priority to the second task, "Task2" keeps on printing.

here is the code:

void thread1(void *p2)
{
    for(;;)
       {
           printf("Task1");
       }
}

void thread2(void *p)
{
   for(;;)
   {    printf("Task2")
    }
}
int main(void)
{

    /* Call driver init functions */
    Board_init();

    xTaskCreate(thread1,"a",1024,NULL,1,NULL);
    xTaskCreate(thread2,"b",1024,NULL,1,NULL);

    vTaskStartScheduler();

    return (0);
}

TMS570LS3137: Need information set interrupt level register

$

Part Number:TMS570LS3137

Hi Team,

Could see we have interrupt level set registers in SCI and MibSPI modules. But the writting 0's into these registers have different meaning.
i.e., in case of MibSPI:

9 TXINTLVL Transmit interrupt level.
0 Transmit interrupt is mapped to interrupt line INT0.
1 Transmit interrupt is mapped to interrupt line INT1.

in case of SCI:

31 SET BE INT LVL Set bit error interrupt level. This bit is effective in LIN mode only.
0 Read: The interrupt level is mapped to the INT0 line.
Write: Writing a 0 to this bit has no effect.
1 Read or write: The interrupt level is mapped to the INT1 line.

So, in case of SCI module, if we initially configure receive interrupt to be routed through INT1 line and later if we want to change to INT0 line, how to do it. The reason is writting 0's have no impact on it.

A quick response is highly appreciated.

Regards,
M.Sreenivasan.

CCS/TMDSDOCK28379D: the frequency of output PWM signal become high when i set EPWM1.TBCTL[PHSEN]=1?

Part Number:TMDSDOCK28379D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Now I'm using the digital compare trip(DC) TZ1 to generate a DCAEVT1.sync signal to my PWM module and I found in the datasheet I must set the PHSEN to 1 as following figures:

But when I set the PHSEN of EPWM1 to 1, I found the frequency of output waveform become higher, as you can see in the below pictures before and after I set the PHSEN to 1;

before I set PHSEN to 1, the frequency is 1MHz as I want(EPWMCLK=100MHz, TBPRD=99), But after I set the PHSEN to 1, the frequency becomes to 2.5MHz, so what's the problem and should PHSEN of EPWM1 must set to 0?

Hi Champs,

We would like to  realize C66x multi core exclusive control.

Can we realize C66 core to core exclusive contriol using SYS/BIOS Mutex (GateMutex _enter/GateMutex_leave function) ?

If we can't use this "Mutex relate function", do you have any other API ?

CC2640R2F: In there a function call that occurs every time a communication event takes place?

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Hello,

We advertising using the BLE5 stack I can sync to the event GAP_EVT_ADV_START or GAP_EVT_ADV_END. For instance, if I want to update an advertising value every time I advertise I can just link my update function to GAP_EVT_ADV_END.

No problem. It works great.

Is there anything analogous for connected communications? Something where every time that an link event occurs or a read from the central occurs I can update my data values?

Does this make sense?

HDC2010: Handling Negative values

Part Number:HDC2010

Hello,

I am using HDC2010 sensor. I have gone through SNAA312 and I have few queries.

1) How to handle negative values. Whether negative values are in Two’s compliment and if I copy into int16_t will it be taken care automatically ?

int16_t i16TempActData = 0;

memcpy(&i16TempActData, &p8Data[0], 2); // Low and Higher byte of temperature

2) Humidity will be between 0 to 100. So there won’t be any negative value. Still it can have decimal part, so that whether we need to handle positive number with decimal part ?

Thanks & Regards

LMV822-N: suggestion for cheaper alternatives

$

Part Number:LMV822-N

Hello team,

one of my customers is designing a new power meter and in the present product they currently use a double amplifier (LMV822MX), one of which is used to generate a voltage reference and the other as a comparator for frequency measurement between two lines.

 I would like to evaluate if it's cheaper use two separate objects, in order to save even a few components:

         - A voltage reference: Vi = 3.3V, Vo = 1.2-1.5V, I have no particular need for precision and/or drift but it must be very economical.
         - An op amp. single with 3.3V single power supply and output that goes rail to rail; also in this case I do not need any particular performance, but cost-effectiveness is important.
Could you please suggest any device for this application? Do you even think it makes sense or you believe the current solution is already optimized?
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards,
Adrian

LM137: Current limit of TO3 package

Part Number:LM137

Which is the current limit of TO3 package without dissipation if I have input voltage of -4.25V and output voltage of -1.25V.

The Vin-Vout<15V so the current limit in the datasheet is between 0.5A and 1.8A.

With thermal dissipation of 140°C/W and with minimum current limit of 0.5A the deltaT between junction and ambient that I have is 140°C/W*(4.25V-1.25V)*0.5A=210°C

Hello,

I am trying to configure and communicate with the evm board directly from a windows application in the same manner the "sensor solution GUI by TI", i have been able to establish proper connection with the "SerialPort" class, i am able to write to the board but never able to read, i have not been able to find any information about commands to write and data formats with the usb converter attached or information about parity, stop bits, or baud rate, find my code below which is meant to be a translation from the arduino example with i2c wiring

port = new SerialPort("COM15", 9600, Parity.None, 8, StopBits.One); // is this correct ?
port.Write(new byte[] { 80 }, 0, 1);
port.Write(new byte[] { 0 }, 0, 1);
port.Write(new byte[] { 0 }, 0, 1);
var buff = new byte[2];
port.Read(buff, 0, buff.Length); // Reading stops here and blocks as the device returns nothing
var lb1 = buff[0];
var lb2 = buff[1];
port.Write(new byte[] { 1 }, 0, 1);
buff = new byte[1];
port.Read(buff, 0, buff.Length);
var lb3 = buff[0];

Hi,

Is the distance reported by the RTLS passive device during ToF demo calculated on the basis of time difference between the time at which the packet is sent by the master and the time at which the passive receives the packet? Does it take into account the distance between the passive and the master?

Thanks
