BQ34Z100-G1: Getting evaluation board to show SOC

Hello!

Im trying to get evaluation board up and running, so far i have managed it to show correct voltage and current. I would like to get it to show SOC. 

Is it possible to get SOC without optimisation cycles? Im using two AGM 12V 22Ah batteries. The optimisation cycle would take a long time so I want to know if I have done everything right. SOC right now is 0% and doesnt change although the battery is full.

Can anyone send me correct parameters for two LEAD acid batteries? Right now I am following 8.2.2.1 Step-by-Step Design Procedure.

Hi,

I flashed 'simple_peripheral' program from BLE SDK version 3.10.00.15 to the CC2640R2F lauchpad borad. And it programmed successfully.

The same program I tried to flash to our custom board  through JTAG and is failing. It throwing an error "Unable to target CPU". 

So I wanted to know that the application 'simple_peripheral' is programming to the internal flash memory or external flash memory?

Is there any option to find out this in the application project?

Hello team,

I have a question about LMX2594 SYSREF.

We use like below 1) and 2).

1) Input a control signal to SYSREF which is not synchronized with PLL output

2) PLL_Port_B outputs a control signal without glitch which is synchronized with PLL output

Is there any requirement to a control signal of 1) in order to obtain 2), control signal without glitch?

For example, Trise/Tfall shoud be within ??ps, like that.

Please let me know if there is any requirements.

I have a BLDC 3 phase 266 vdc motor attached directly to a 3600 rpm generator and I wish to run it with TMDSHVMTRINSPIN dirver. Will this driver work at that speed sensorless (I only need maximum torque at 3600 rpm because of the generator output is at that speed) or do I need other hard ware or soft ware that is not included in this driver package. I will power the driver with a 500 vdc power supply but from my research of your driver it will only handle 350 vdc and I am not sure that is enough to achieve the rpm needed. Please let me know what direction that will work for this application, thanks!

OPA552: This opamp appears run very hot with resistive load.

I have the OPA552 opamp in a circuit with a gain of ~6.5. I dropped the resistor values and now I have a clean signal. I have two of these in a circuit and one is used as a simple  40v switch for DC current. Both are driving resistor loads(currently 10Kohm). Both of these opamps are hot to the touch (~80C). I now have a stick-on heatsink. Is it normal for this component to run hot?

CC3220SF: Mqtt Client example doenst reconnect to broker if URL is used instead of IP4

Hello!

I found out that if I use

MQTTClient_ConnParams Mqtt_ClientCtx =
{
MQTTCLIENT_NETCONN_URL,
SERVER_ADDRESS,
PORT_NUMBER, 0, 0, 0,

};

instead of 

MQTTClient_ConnParams Mqtt_ClientCtx =
{
MQTTCLIENT_NETCONN_IP4,
SERVER_IP_ADDRESS,
PORT_NUMBER, 0, 0, 0,

};

Reconnection to broker doenst happen.

I use my phone as AP and SimpleLink as station, if I turn off just internet on phone, connection to broker restores when I turn it on again.

But if I turn off AP on my phone, connection to broker is never restored.

This issue happens only if I use URL instead of IP4.

Why does it happen and how could I fix it?

Hi Team,

I want to report a minor bug in NWP related to Carrier Wave (CW) radio test mode. It seems that multiple consecutively opening and closing CW mode may to cause device abort. Generally this is not a big deal, but I want to report found problem only. I can imagine that radio testing modes were not extensively tested for a stability.

Additional information:

  • Device: CC3220SF
  • SDK + SP: 3.10.00.04, 3.11.0.6
  • Own code based on code from radio tools 1.0.3.7
  • Error from handler:
    • SL_DEVICE_EVENT_FATAL_DEVICE_ABORT
    • DeviceAssert.Code: 3
    • DeviceAssert.Value: 0

Hi,

I have a CC3220 in station mode which issues a sl_WlanConnect() call to connect to an AP.

Even though the AP does not exist the call returns 0 - success but no events are received - I waited 10 minutes. As I understand things, this is working as expected, asynchronous events will complete the connection.

So is the NWP continuously trying to connect to the AP ? and how long will it try for? forever? or do I have to manually make a connect call every few minutes?

If I wait, say, 5 minutes, and then move to the backup AP and issue another sl_WlanConnect() call to connect to the backup AP, is the first one cancelled? or do I have to explicitly cancel it?

Hi,

I am trying to get 3.3volt as an o/p of buck converter in DRV8301 .

I have connected 332k and 61.9k as R1 and R2  on Vsense. 

Rest of circuit is connected as attached diagram.

Now , I am trying to measure output of buck converter on vsense , I am getting 0.5v when pvdd2 is 5volt but as I change pvdd2 , o/p on vsense keeps on changing, ideally it should not cjhange o/p if pvdd2 is changing and I am not getting desired voltage by adjusting resistors of voltage divider , where I am going wrong?

TMS3705: Problem Initializing TMS3705 that respond Diag Byte but there are no Meaning of datata received from component

Hi

My name is Cleber and my enterprise makes an automated feed that reads Tags FDX, and now, we are developing a board that must read HDX tags.
But I am having many problems to setup commands on TMS305.
At this moment,  all thing I did following information described on the datasheet makes me get no result.

After many days trying to get a tag Reading, I only get a Diag return, that sends a byte that has no Meaning for me because Datasheet doesn't have any reference about what does it byte received from TMS3705 means. Second, Using the sequence and timing suggested present inside datasheet, I get no tag reading from TMS3705 even seeing that data returned from a tag is on signal returned by antena coil. 

I found some image examples on the internet (even here in Ti e2e) but it does not specify detailed information (like time base) that is necessary to be implemented to ensure that Header will returns data from tag.

Who can help me to implement this?

TPS7B7701-Q1: the device(act as switch) shut down after 150s of power-on

Dear team,

My customer uses the TPS7B7701-Q1 as a power switch. The schematic is as below, 

When they test it, they found some problems,

1. when this device acts as a LDO, the recommended output capacitor is 2.2uF-100uF. When this device acts as a switch, what are the recommended output capacitor values? Same with 2.2uF-100uF or different? If different, could you please tell me the recommended capacitor?

2. When the customer use this device as a power switch, the device shut down after 150s of power-on. At this time the Vsense's waveform is as below,

From the waveform, we can find that when the switch shut down, the Vsense=3.2V. According to the datasheet figure 19, the chip is in Reverse Current fault or Short to Battery fault. Could you please tell me the reason of shut-down? When does the chip detect these two faults? How often?

In addition, we also test the current as below, the rush current is 113.0mA smaller than 244mA which is the limit current value.
