LAUNCHXL-F280049C: Connecting PWM output to a LED with XBAR

$

Part Number:LAUNCHXL-F280049C

Hello,

Is it possible to direct a PWM output to one of the built in LEDs so that it blinks with the same duty cycle as the PWM?

I've read the XBAR section of the datasheet but I couldn't find an example that uses XBARs except for this one line in the epwm trip zone example. My first idea was to use the input xbar to take the signal from gpio0 (pwm output) and use the output xbar to connect it to gpio34.

    XBAR_setInputPin(XBAR_INPUT6, 0);
    XBAR_setOutputMuxConfig(XBAR_OUTPUT1, XBAR_OUT_MUX11_INPUTXBAR6);
    GPIO_SetupPinMux(34,1,1);

I am definitely not sure about the parameters I passed to the functions, these were my best guesses. Also should I call XBAR_enableOutputMux() and XBAR_enableInputMux()  before these functions? Or am I on a completely wrong track?

What is the reading error range of light sensitivity between different products of OPT3007 itself?(It means if the light is the same, what is the difference between the measured value of OPT3007A and OPT3007B ?)

Linux/BEAGLEBK: How to configure multiple I/O Expander PCF8574a?

$

Part Number:BEAGLEBK

Tool/software: Linux

I am currently adding an I/O Expander PCF8574a in my device tree am335x-boneblack.dts. I have two I/O expander, one at 0x38 and another at 0x39. The code below works fine for a single expander but if I add PCF8574a with address 0x39 in the similar manner, it shows an error

"Duplicate label 'pcf8574a' on /ocp/i2c@4802a000/pcf8574a@39 and /ocp/i2c@4802a000/pcf8574a@38" which I completely understand.

But I dont know how to add another node or say sub node to make this work. Any suggestions?

&i2c1 {
    pinctrl-names = "default";
    pinctrl-0 = <&i2c1_pins_default>;
    status = "okay";
    clock-frequency = <400000>;

CC2640R2F: Is it possible to demodulate AoA IQ data (i.e. consecutive 1's in PDU)

$

Part Number:CC2640R2F

Hi,

We're aware that AoA packets contains a section of consecutive 1’s as part of the PDU for transmitting a single tone.

At receiver side, raw IQ samples from the single tone (250kHz) section are collected and post-processed by AoA application.

The question is, is there's a way or API in SDK to demodulate these IQ samples to retrieve this PDU section (i.e. consecutive 1's or custom pattern) ?

Thanks

Dear TI support

We have some EMI problem with the test board ISOW7841EVM

The CM noise around 120Mhz-150Mhz can be attenuated by stich capacitor as suggested in your EMI application note.

However, the DM noise of 50Mhz-70Mhz is very difficult to be reduced (input is 5V and output is 5V as well)

The test board we received from TI cannot comply with the CISPR 25 above 30Mhz

We have tried the ferrite beads BLM18BD252SH1*2 and 0603 capacitor 10uF *1 to become a T type filter on the input side. But these tialsdont give much impact on EMI performance.

May I confirm if you could provide us with some practical solution to reduce the DM noise (of course CM noise as well if possible.)

Best regards

Hello, how can I adapt Light and Switch - Zigbee Project Zero example for CC1352P1 ? I've tried to use the one from CC1352P1-2 directory, but I can't debug it with CCS, aslo I haven't succeede to establish connection to UI via PuTTY as was described in the tutorial (seeing just black screen without interaction)

I've tried to erase flash with uniflash before uploadding the Zstack exmple. Tried to press the reset button after the Putty was connected to relevant COM port.

Linux/TCI6638K2K: SOC hung while running L1, and L2 LTE application in dual cell setup

$

Part Number:TCI6638K2K

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

We are using our Custom HW Design based on K2KEVM. it uses SoC TCI6638K2K Silicon Rev 3.1 with MCSDK 3.01.04.07.

We are running LTE L2 and L1 application using TI's syslib_4_00_03_00 package in arm and dsp cores respectively.

The issue we are facing is at some point after the applications are up & running doing the data transfer (> 10 min) in dual cell setup, the SoC is not responding (console/ethernet not responding) and it seems like all the arm cores freeze and even 3 dsp cores freeze..

    • When connected via emulator through CCS, we cannot access (no halt/suspend) the ARM cores (with message "Trouble Halting Target CPU: (Error -1323 @ 0xC001DA88) Device failed to enter debug/halt mode because pipeline is stalled") & DSP cores 0,1,2 (with "Trouble Halting Target CPU: (Error -1202 @ 0x0) Device core is hung.") once the system is hung. We were able to halt/suspend after the applications are up but before the hung state.
    • We can access DDR3A by connecting to other 5 dsp cores (where no application is running and not affected).
    • We run the application in different data rate, still we face the hung issue.
    • We enabled all the debug options available in kernel config (like CONFIG_LOCKUP_DETECTOR, CONFIG_DEBUG_KERNEL, CONFIG_DEBUG_SHIRQ, CONFIG_DETECT_HUNG_TASK etc) still the device went to hung state.
    • We are setting the DDR3A_REMAP_EN pin to 1 to use DDR3A from arm view. We shared 1 GB to use for arm and 1GB for dsp application.
    • Data flow as below
      .SGMII<->L2(arm)<->L1(dsp)<->Aif2

we changed the linkram address as follow to solve hung in single cell, but this is not helping in 2 cell.

hwqueue0: hwqueue@2a40000 {
                       range          = <0 0x4000>;
                       linkram0       = <0x100000 0x8000>;
                       linkram1       = <0xC4C0000 0x100000>;

Is any changes required from kernel perspective(kernel version: Kernel RT 3.10.72 with patch of patch-3.10.72-rt77.patch)

We are not able to find the root cause for the problems, any help will be appreciated and please let me know if any information needed with respect to our setup...

Thanks & Regards

Part Number:TM4C1294NCPDT

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am developing embedded application using following platform: TM4C1294NCPDT, TI-RTOS v2.16, CCS v9.0.1.

I am getting below warning on compilation:

""package/cfg/<project name>_pem4f.c", line xxx: warning: statement is unreachable"

Same project I compiled in CCS v6.2.0, I didn't get any as such warning.

1. What is the reason for this warning in CCS v9.0.1 ?

2. How to resolve this warning in CCS v9.0.1 ?

Thanking you.

DP83867IR: Do not start at 1Gbit

Part Number:DP83867IR

This problem related to my previous topics: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/p/784626/2908885 and https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/t/792522

This time I use DP83867ERGZ-R-EVB (48-pin package) board and EVB-KSZ9897 board. They both work fine at 1Gbit with any external router I have through long (about 2 meters) and short (1 meters) cables. EVB-KSZ9897 even works fine with ZCU102 which have DP83867IR in 64-pin package. When I connect DP83867ERGZ-R-EVB and EVB-KSZ9897 together 1 Gbit connection established after 1 to 5 minutes with short cable and don't established with long cable within 5 minutes. Is it some sort of incompatibility between KSZ9896/KSZ9897 and DP83867IR in 48-pin package?

CC2652R: Problem with Datasheet and user manual - CC2652R

Part Number:CC2652R

Hi, reading the cc2652r datasheet, on page 13 section 5.1 note 3, says

"VDDS_DCDC, VDDS2 and VDDS3 must be at the same potential as VDDS"

But section 1.3.13.1.1 on page 86 of the user manual says

"The two VDDS segments, VDDS2 and VDDS3, provide split-rail I/O support for the device and can be

driven by different voltages than VDDS. This allows a reduction in external components by removing the

need for level shifters to interface other devices running on different logic levels."

Which one is valid?

Thanks

Hi, Dear all, I’m confused by a question for a whole day.it’s about a firmware burning in problem through UNIFLASH.

In debugging process, When the OK.hex is loaded to UCD3138064A’s flash by uniflash, all is OK. Then , I modified the source code , then get Bad.hex, then loaded the Bad.hex to MCU, which lead to the JTAG can’t be connected after the Bad.hex is burned in successfully.

The difference of source code between OK.hex and Bad.hex is only involved in function, not included .cmd.

BQ76PL455EVM: Query about the schematic provided for the IC

Part Number:BQ76PL455EVM

Hi,

In the schematic provided for the board, there is a reference to pins:

BAT16 and BAT0.

I am unlcear as to the function of these pins.

In the above figure, there is a DNP connection with a red cross running through it. I am not sure what that connection signifies either.

Any help in clearing up these doubts is extremely appreciated.

Thank You
