Part Number:LM3481

Hi,

i'm looking for transformer spec designed on TI ref design http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP20981.

based on the BOM, part# PA4191NL (Pulse Engineering) => not found on the web nor Pulse website

Can you share the spec of transformer ? my customer would like to design isolated flyback 12V up to 48V for PoE PSE application (15W). TI design is good fit but now they need further information on the BOM to estimate total cost before moving forward.

thanks for your help

Part Number:PCA9515A

Hi Support team

At present, when used PCA9515 I2C IC, you can find that the SDA / SCL signal has two stages in the low level.

In SDA, there is a description in the specification, but SCL does not mention that there will be this phenomenon....

is this normal phenomenon and how to avoid that?
Any side effect will it have on communication?

AWR1642BOOST: TIDEP-0092

Part Number:AWR1642BOOST

Hi

Per the Short Range Radar Reference Design TIDEP-0092,  the PMIC used (LP87524BRNFRQ1) has 3 enable pins PMIC_EN1/2/3 presumably to enable the buck regulators.

But since there are 4 buck regulators for each of the 4 rails (3.3V, 1.2V, 1.8V and 2.3V) with only 3 enable pins PMIC_EN1/2/3. How is the 4th rail enabled?

Thanks,

John

MSP430F5659: Different CRC value using DMA Block Transfer and Burst-Block Transfer modes

Part Number:MSP430F5659

Successfully computed CRC value using Block Transfer DMA mode, but when changing to using Burst-Block DMA mode then an incorrect value is computed. Only difference in code is a change in the  DMADT value from 5 to 6 (or 7) in the DAM4CTL register. Using DMA channel 4. Does the DMA buffer size have to be a multiple of 4?

BQ4050: Memory Mapping in SREC file

Part Number:BQ4050

Hi,

We've written some firmware to flash the BQ4050 from our board's main processor using the SREC file dumped from a master BQ4050 with BQStudio.

All is well except for the region 0x5F80-0x5FFE, which does not write. This region of flash is not (or does not appear to be) documented for any purpose in the BQ4050 TRM, so we were wondering what this was, and if it is safe to ignore this part of the image.

Similarly, the SREC file contains data addressed from 0x100000 to 0x10DFFF. We don't know what this is for either, but we presume this is either RAM or Program Flash, and, therefore, does not have to be flashed back to production targets. Ditto 0x140000-001401FF. Can you confirm that we do not have to copy this to our production targets?

Thank you.

DRV2700: configuration to drive a piezo motor

Part Number:DRV2700

Hi experts.

I have already asked a question regarding the DRV before. Now I have looked more into the details and have some more questions:

First some information:

- I am using this as the motor: LEGS Linear LS15 from https://piezomotor.com/produkt/ls15/

- I have a DAC to create the control signal for the motor (0 to 5V)

- Desired motor voltage (DRV output) 0 to 45V

- Desired frequency: up to 1.200Hz

- Capacity of the motor is 680nF (not 100% sure about that)

Questions:

1. If I input a sinwave from 0 to 5V, can the DRV amplify that to the same sinwave but from 0 to 45V?

2. Is figure 22 in chapter 9.2.1 in the user manual the corresponding example to my case?

3. Since I only need positive voltage, I connect my piezo element between Out+ and ground. Out- remains unconnected?

4. Since my gain should not change, should I connect the gain inputs to Vcc and GND or to the microcontroller to keep them adjustable?

5. My motor has 4 legs that should work all independently. That means I need 4 DRVs, because Out+ and Out- is coupled?

6. If I connect the DAC to the DRV I only need to connect IN+, right? IN- remains unconnected?

Sorry for all that questions. It would be a huge support, if you could help me out.

Thanks

Sebastian

DRV8323: PGND and AGND question on datasheet

Part Number:DRV8323

TI DRV83323 data sheet (SLVSDJ3A), pages 60 & 66, the application notes show the PGND and AGND with the same ground symbol and then a second symbol that has not been defined!  Would you please clarify?

I would like a recommendation relating to grounding of the analog and the power components used in conjunction with the DRV8323S driver(I have concerns on noise from ground bus).  From a technical aspect, how are the grounds different within the driver?

Background:

Using DRV8323S driver to drive a 14A BLDC motor at 18V nominal.  Feedback is supplied by the motor Hall sensors.  The motor is changing directions often.

Hi Richard Herring,

We are using UCC27714 in Two-Transistor Forward Converter topology. We have used the circuit from tidrti6.pdf and attached the one which we have used.

We are observing two issues with UCC27714

1) That the UCC27714  is getting hot when used to drive Two-Transistor Forward Converter mosfet at  400V DC

2) That the mosfet Q1 and Q2 in DL1826-GATE DRIVER BASED ON UCC27714.pdf got hot used to drive Two-Transistor Forward Converter mosfet at  400V DC

3) We are unable to see PWM signal on CRO at HO and HS while signal between LO and COM is observed to drive  Two-Transistor Forward Converter mosfet at  400V DC.

4) Please suggest which circuit we should for Two-Transistor Forward Converter topology. with components and parts numbers.

Thanks and Best Regards,

VK Verma

RTOS/AM3359: Missing platform package 'ti.platforms.evmAM3359'

Part Number:AM3359

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

I am trying to build and execute the HSR protocol example project on the AM3359 ICE development board.

  • I have downloaded and installed the latest PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-AM335X (v05.03) and PRU-ICSS Industrial Software for Sitar Processors (v1.00.04).
  • I have generated the example projects in the PRU-ICSS Industrial Software for Sitar Processors package targeting the AM335x.
  • I have loaded the hsr_app_AM335x_arm project into CCSv8.

When I try to build the hsr_app_AM335x_arm project, it fails; claiming it " Can't find the platform package 'ti.platforms.evmAM3359' ". I've tried refactoring the project to the latest compiler and product versions, but still see the same error.

Where can I find/acquire this 'ti.platforms.evmAM3359' platform package and how do I install/add a project path in the project to allow it to be found/used? It seems archaic to have to revert to a pre-3.30 (2014) release of XDCtools to build an example from the latest SDK releases (per the suggestion in the error message generated by the compiler; shown below).

Best regards,

- Chris

BQ27Z561EVM-011: Device doesn't work.

Part Number:BQ27Z561EVM-011

Hi,

I am currently working on BQ27Z561EVM with BQ27GDK000EVM. I followed the user manual to connect all the components as shown below:

It works fine until this morning. Yesterday evening, I started an experiment which in theory should finish at 2:30 pm today. However, when I came to check the experiment at around 1 pm today. I found in bqStudio, the icon of battery gauge was gray which means the battery gauge is not detected. Then I checked the instruments, the battery gauge and the GDK. It seems that there is no problem on GDK. But on the battery gauge I found something strange that the PWR LED is on as shown in following picture, which means the gauge is powered on. Normally, that LED should not be on when the battery gauge is connected to GDK. Then I test the battery gauge separately by connecting it directly to my PC. My pc is able to recognise there is EV2400 connected, However, bqStudio still cannot detect BQ27Z561EVM. I tried to find where the problem is and make it work for several hours. While, till now, it still does not work.

Could you give any idea or advise to find the problem? If you need any further information, just tell me.

Just one more sentence that system works well for almost one month. During that period, the system was kept in a safe place and all the connections were fixed.

Kindly regards,

Wenlong

Part Number:LMC6482

Hi team, am working with a customer on this device and had some questions:

1. What is the Maximum short circuit current on the output, when using a +5 volt rail

2. Per Page 3 foot notes 4, Output current in excess of +-30mA over long term may adversely affect reliability , so what is the Maximum current that device can produce, without damage?

What is TI IWR1642's 77Ghz FMCW advantage over same Bandwidth UWB?

Since there are so many UWB radar available recently, we would like to know why (how much in which quality)we should go with TI 1642 solution?

Specially we are interested in project "Vital Sign". Several UWB radar baord offers vital sign measuring distance over 8 meter. What can be the good reason for FMCW TI solution over UWB module?

Hi team,

For the one shot trigger voltage, we have indicated that it's around the 1/2 VCC input.

Do you have a range for the trigger voltage across the device by design. for example, the voltage is about 1/2 VCC±0.1V?

If so, can you help to provide.

Lacey

Thanks a lot!

Part Number:TS5A3357-Q1

Hi,

I am trying to test the TS5A3357-Q1 but I am having some problems. Basically what I am trying to do is the following:

If I set IN1 =1 and IN2=0 I get 3.3V in the COM pin as expected. However, If I set IN1 = 1 and IN2=1 I get 2V in the COM pin instead of 0V. Plus, If I set IN2=0 and IN1=1 I get 2.5V in the COM pin instead of 0V.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi dear Support Team, !

I'd like to compute 3D Point Cloud not in radar basis but in an absoulute one. The position and the orientation of the radar in the absolute basis are defined by a set of 5 parameters X,Y,Z,Azimuthe Angle, Elevation Angle.

I want to input this set of data with a new specific CLI command (this commannd will be automatically written in the cfg file just before sending it to the sensor).

I'm starting from the area_scanner lab.

I began modifying mmw_cli.c to add my new command like said in this topic ( https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/669254?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=add%20CLI ) but next steps seem a bit different with areascanner project on IWR6843.

Could you help me ?

Thanks a lot,

Have a nice day !

Quentin Bajot.

We tested 1642Boost EVM and successfully had seen breathing rate and heart rate in the distance of 0.7 meter.

1) Now we would like to know how much it will show error rate comparing to FDA certified PSG.(EEG, EOG, ECG).

2) We would like to know how to calculate the accuracy over PSG.

3) Have you checked any comparison with Any FDA certified device ?

DS90UB928Q-Q1: Ds90ub927 GPIO_Reg7 to DS90ub928 GPIO_Reg7 for Screen Reset function question

$

Part Number:DS90UB928Q-Q1

Hi Ti team,

Could you pls help us check below question?

1, if ds90ub927 0x11 to 0x33, ds90ub928 0x21 to 0x55, then GPIO_REG8 can support PWM and Reset transfer, but why GPIO_REG7 can't support Reset function transfer. ( Reset is High or Low voltage)

2, if ds90ub927 0x10 to 0x30, ds90ub928 0x20 to 0x50, then GPIO_REG6 can't support BL_EN function transfer. (BL_EN is High or Low voltage)

So, GPIO_Reg8 can support PWM,Reset and BL_EN function transfer with above reg# set, GPIO_REG6/7 all can't support transfer Reset and BL_EN with above reg# set.

We can only set DS90ub928 GPIO_REG6/7 output High or Low

thanks!

Champs,

Customer is having a hard time reproducing -113 dBm sensitivity specified for 4.8 Kbps OOK in 868 Mhz band on TI evaluation platform. Would you be able to share configuration parameters and any relevant setup details that can be used to demonstrate it? We need a reference point for sensitivity to start troubleshooting it on customer's hardware.
