Part Number:AM3358
Dear Friends,
I have designed am3358 based custom board with TPS65218 as PMIC. Schematic of PMIC & AM335x power is attached here.(Please visit the site to view this file)(Please visit the site to view this file)
We had 6 boards assembled out of which 2 had the following issue.
When I power on the board, I am able to see 'C' characters on Serial console.
But after some time (5 - 10 Sec) it stops sending 'C' characters & Device goes in to reset and over all current of the board is reduced.
I had used XDS110 debugger with starterware (with Gel file of Beagle bone black as my board is quit similar to beagle bone black). CCSv7 gives an error of "Device is held in reset"
My all other boards are working perfectly and never seen this kind of issue except this two.
The voltage at PORZ Pin (TP18 in PMIC schematic) and WakeupN Pin(TP19 in PMIC schematic) is 1.6V. Note: The voltage levels on both pins are same for the PCBs which are running.
I observed that MPU current reduced to almost zero when CPU held in reset.
Is there anything related with sleep mode..?
I have seen the E2E forum similar to my case but in that case JTAG_EMU0 and JTAG_EMU1 pins are not pulled up. But in my case they are pulled up by 4.7k.
Please guide me how can I debug the issue. Let me know if further information is required for debug.
Thanks
Chetan
