CC3200-LAUNCHXL: WiFi AP not getting associated

Hi, I am coming across a strange issue where CC3200 Launchpad is not associating with a specific WiFi AP - note that this was tested to be working in the past(about 3 months ago) and no config change with AP in the interim.

Tried replicating the issue using a different CC3200 board (bought together with the board under test) with exact same spec and config, however there is no such issue and AP association is successful.

Looks like a hardware issue, any clues?
