CCS/CC1310: Questions before attempting custom board loading

Part Number:CC1310

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I will shortly be trying to program a cc1310 on a custom board.  I just want to make sure I proceed in the right direction. A couple questions to make me more comfortable before beginning.  I plan on using the Lauchpad’s debugger to connect to the custom board.

1)      I don’t want to brick the device.  Are there any common problems that I may do to cause this?

2)      Can I send the same image to the custom board as the lauchpad if I have the same I/O pins used in both?

3)      Are only the cJTAC pins needed for programming or do the UART TX/RX need connecting also? Seems I’ve seen both in the blogs.

4)      I plan on trying to use CCS to load it.  Or is there a better SW option recommended?

5)      I know the reference manual lists a few registers that control the Boot loader.  Is this something that needs to be set somehow? How do they get there? Or not needed? New chip default settings OK?

6)      I have looked at the post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/proprietary_sub_1_ghz_simpliciti/f/156/p/557519/2039613?pi319532=2#pi319532=1

Is this the best guide for setting up a custom board?  If my pins don’t change I can skip this?
