Part Number:TFP410
Hello -
I am using the TFP410 device (schematic page attached, further below) in 12-bit, dual-edge mode. My register settings are as follows:
CTL_1_MODE:
[7] = RSVD = 1
[6] = TDIS = 0 (TMDS determined by PD_n)
[5] = VEN = 1 (VSYNC input is valid and is to be used)
[4] = HEN = 1 (HSYNC input is valid and is to be used)
[3] = DSEL = 0 (single-ended clock)
[2] = BSEL = 0 (12-bit dual-edge mode)
[1] = EDGE = 1 (select rising-edge)
[0] = PD_n = 1 (power-on)
My pixel clock is 108MHz.
I have been successful in getting both VGA and 720p60 resolution displayed, but I am unable to get SXGA resolution to display. The display itself shows a red active video area, with the proper aspect ratio (and the display recognizes the input format as 1280x1024@62Hz), so it would seem that the TFP410 is recognizing the active video area ... but the image displayed is solid red.
The datasheet for the TFP410 says that the chip is good up to UXGA, which is obviously well beyond the resolution I am trying to display.
Any thoughts on what I could be doing incorrectly?
Thanks,
Bryan
